Our 2nd time and again blown away by Roy’s former Waiki head chef Jason Peel has exploded his choices & introduced paper menus!! Food is sensational! Staff are so fabulous! Can’t wait to return! Mahalo Nui loa! ☮️💜🌺

We dinned here many times and the creativity and execution is by far on the same level as the best in NYC and Paris where we just spent over six weeks. Their aloha greeting is always appreciated and we love having dinner at their gorgeous. The service there is very personable. Being Wine Educators and Consultants we really appreciated the Sancerre on their wine list. Their food really deserves fine low ph mineral whites and assertive reds. We had the following : Manila Clams (Washington) Natto, House Butter, Local Citrus, Thai Chili, Sake, Fresh Herbs. Soft Cold Tofu (Mrs. Cheng's, Oahu) Smoked Ho Farms Tomatoes, Hijiki, Cilantro, Ponzu. Hokkaido Scallops.

Good dinner at Nami Kaze but not as spectacular as the price would justify. Hokkaido scallops in a slightly spicy sauce, bland nasu in miso, good beet salad. All good and served quickly.

That was our third visit to the restaurant. We really enjoyed their food and service a few years in a row. Unfortunately our recent experience was not so good. The restaurant was busy and the staff was overwhelmed. One of our dishes was delivered twice, another one was never delivered, waiting time between the dishes was too long. We finished it up canceling the last few dishes. The quality of food was not so good as the previous times as well.

Excellent service and food. Server and chief was very accommodating to use do to a person in our group who was allergic to fish. 🐟They made sure that all of the food we order was prepared without cross contamination with any fish. I highly recommended this restaurant. Food was outstanding ‼️🤙🏽

Everything we ate was delicious, but the service was not great. It was incredibly slow with lots of mistakes. We ordered a few appetizers including a potato salad on the side. The appetizers came out, but there was no potato salad. We just assumed it would come later. One of us ordered the miso black cod (which was delicious), but when it came out it was just the cod, no rice or anything on the side to eat it with. We had to ask the person who dropped off the food (who was not our server) for a side of rice and also to check on the side of potato salad. We waited at least ten minutes for the rice. At that point, we waved down our server to check on the rice and the potato salad; she apologized and said it would be coming. The rice came out shortly after, but our food was cold by the time the rice arrived and there were still no signs of the potato salad. A few minutes later we asked again about the potato salad and she said she would check on it again but that it was coming. Eventually, we finished our meal and just told her to forget about the potato salad. We had to flag someone else down to get our check because our server was nowhere to be found and it was just a slow process. The restaurant was full, but it didn't feel overly chaotic or crazy busy. I would eat here again, but lower my expectations for service.

Always great service and savory food. Recommend going as a group (pple of 4 plus), so that you can enjoy more variety of cuisine!
