Great happy hour menu, food was delicious! personalized menu for a friend's birthday on short notice. Very happy with overall dining experience.
The food was decent but not outstanding; nothing that made me said “wow” or “I want to have more of that.”
Initially the service was fine, but my dining partner and I noticed that tables next to us got served their food before we did even though we ordered before them. Even the check was slow in coming.
The three course tasting menu was outstanding, and the poke appetizer awed all. Service was excellent, as was our greeting when we arrived. The host was so helpful, as I had a question about parking. Our guest from Japan was impressed!
Great place - you need to try it! Always good to make reservations.
Exceptional service and great food. Parking before 5:30pm was for some reason coned off
Amazing and creative menu with terrific service. I always over eat when dining there.
Awesome, as always! Really the perfect place for a business lunch.
The only weak spot of the experience was the wait help. Once they were at the table, it was fine;
but getting their attention at times was a struggle.
Excellent food and service as always. Food was served in a timely manner but you were not rushed. Friend visiting from California always asks that we go there for our dinner.
Austin was wonderful! I really hope I’m remembering his name correctly. He helped me find a wine that went well with my steak and it made the experience that much better. I very much recommend this place for a fancy date night dinner or a special occasion.
Food was better than I remembered. Signature opah entre was crusty and very flavorful. Fish was very fresh.
Paella was a little spicy for my spouse but I thoroughly enjoyed my few bites.
Can't remember the glass of wine I had, but I thought the selections by the glass were quite diverse.
Good food, local ingredients, creative preparations. Geo was knowledgeable and a good guide. Mochi Kampachi was flavorful.
Absolutely delicious, service was exceptional and would highly recommend.
Wow this place has it all down. Both my guest and I had the pre fix lunch and enjoyed. Service was excellent and easy. Please keep it up, I’ll be back!
Been here before and still like it. Like the location, the food and the fact that it is open for lunch and through dinner--that way one doesn't feel rushed to have to leave at lunch time. My favorite item was off the menu and that is because the menu changes periodically, but there are many options, although, frankly, the salads are not that interesting looking on the menu. Still it is a nice place with good food and easy parking and central to 'meet up'.
We were really expecting to have a good dinner there, but we didn't care for their food at all.
We didn't understand how people can enjoy their food with that price. We thought everything was too salty.
Sorry, we didn't like it.
Thank you for providing an incredible experience for old friends to get together again
The pineapple shochu cocktail was great. The bread and olive oil spread makes you look forward to what is next. The appetizer trio was a good combination of local taste and textures. The pork loin entrée with balsamic vinegar reduction and little tidbits of deep fried broccoli was scrumptious. The lilikoi crème brulee was very much a Hawaii dessert.
Fantastic meal. Great service.
The MW was a great choice for my 70th birthday. My wife and I were in Honolulu from Ann Arbor ,Mi. we had a wonderful meal with great food and great service. The ceviche and the cocktails, along with the desserts were particularly good. The servers were knowledgeable and unobtrusive.
Great food and place. Service was a little slow. Don’t know if staff was short because usually they are very attentive.
Food is eclectic and VERY well prepared. Service is rushed—we wanted to make a meal of a sequence of three shared apps and one shared main for 2 people, but all three apps arrived in 5 minutes, all together, and before the (expensive) wine was served. Our $240 dinner for 2 was 3/4’s over in 12 minutes! One other nit: the restaurant is FAR too brightly lit. Kills the mood. Might come back for the food; probably at lunch (where speed is a virtue).
As always, the whole experience was great...the food was very good, great balance in taste of sauce to food....the service was excellent as always...one of my go to places for a special night of dining.....mahalo MW
MW is one of our favorite restaurants! The staff is always courteous, friendly, and willing to help with menu selections. The dishes are very creative and tasty. We especially enjoy the scrumptious desserts... especially the brûlée, shaved ice, and MW candy bar...absolutely delicious! You can be sure we’ll be back for another culinary delight... hopefully with friends from Japan!
I think we were over serviced. My friend was not finished eating and the wait staff was ready to take her dish away before she was finished. Not once but twice. There is not enough awareness with the wait staff to let people eat at their leisure. Etiquette really is to wait until both parties are completely finished before removing any dishes.
Too quick and too over eager.
The food was really creative and good but the portions are very, very small. Compared to the other nice restaurants around here, they could make the portions a bit bigger.
Great Food, Very attentive staff, Reasonable pricing.
BEST VALENTINES DAY DINNER EVER!! ❤️❤️❤️ We can’t say enough kudos about the incredible special menu that MW put together for this dinner! The amazing ribeye specially selected for its highest quality was pure heaven, the seafood paella was an experience in poetry of flavors.
We loved the appetizers sampler, every bite unique. The desserts were amazing, strawberry in every incarnation and a mud pie that was spectacularly created with smooth rare Japanese Whiskey!
Fantastic prefixe meal! The banana pudding dessert was incredible. Ambiance is very casual.
The food was good, but nothing special. The best thing we had was the fried okra. The appetizer was good also. The entrees were good but nothing special. Our service was a little slow.
Chef is ingenious... Food quality is very good but what makes it better is the skill of the chef sufficiently arouse your taste bud without over doing so that you can taste the authentic taste of the food.
Never disappointed, always good
Great Casual Dining place and good Customer Service. Amazing foods.
We were running late, so did a courtesy call and the hostess was kind, understanding and accommodating. Once I arrived, she even addressed me with my name ☺️ Lunch special was the best! A lot of professionals dining, a who’s who in business. MW does not disappoint!
Food always good! This time service was also great! Our waiter (Mac) was attentive but gave us lots of time to talk business . Most enjoyable.
Fabulous combination of flavors. Very nice staff. Many options, all delicious. The tofu dish was amazing.
Our waiter Austin was great. Very informative, friendly, and helpful.
