This is my first visit since the restaurant moved to the Simphony Building.
We loved the new location and enjoyed the delicious food and warm friendly service.
Our party of 4 ordered the tasting menu which was outstanding. We would go back again. The service was excellent.
Staff were nice and helpful. Servers provided recommendations and the food was excellent. They were aware of our special occasion and went out of their way to make it a special meal.
Food was great, service was great. Definitely going back whenever we are able. Dessert was the best
This is the first time to their new location. I’ve eaten downstairs at Artizen a few times but not upstairs at this location. The ambience of MW is comfortable and relaxing. The food was excellent and the service was wonderful. My friends enjoyed our luncheon and we will definitely return to MW!
They only have a prix fixed menu right now. Food was good
but it took a very long time to be served. What made it worse was that I noticed people who had arrived after our party got their food before us. I asked our waiter about this but he did not know the answer. I would go again but was very disappointed with the service. It nearly made me late for work.
Amazing…loved Sharon, Oli, and Harry! Best team and execution of masterful experience.
A little hard to find the first time but everything else was excellent. Support staff were very friendly and checking in and being seated was seamless. Restaurant is inside a luxury car dealership so interesting journey from valet to the restaurant.
Most importantly, the food and service was excellent. Our server (Gio) was very attentive and knowledgeable and his suggestions were spot on. Oysters, crab cakes, and lobster rolls were delicious. We had the kampachi and seafood paella and both were excellent. The brulee and banana creme pie were also a great finishing touch to the meal.
First time I have been to the "new" place but will definitely come again!
We enjoyed our lunch immensely. I typically order the kampachi, but decided to try the grilled chicken breast, veggies, and roasted potatoes. It was delicious. The ambiance and service were first rate, as always!
Great food great service very very nice restaurant
We celebrated our anniversary here, and we were very impressed with the excellent service, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and excellent food! We always try a new place when we come to Honolulu, and this was the place. MW did not disappoint!
We ran late for 11am rez, called in, and MW was accomodating.
Ordered from preset lunch menu:
Seafood bisque, miso prime rib, choc haupia bar; ahi poke nachos, kona kampachi, banana cream pie; farmer’s salad, fresh ahi, banana cream pie. All were delish! Server was attentive. We
enjoyed our lunch. Can’t wait to try happy hour and dinner!
Wonderful service and food!! Our server was amazing! Food was out of this world!
The food and service at MW is excellent. The 3 course set lunch is an awesome deal. This is excellent for business meetings.
Having tried many restaurants on the island, MW is in its own class on food. The dishes here are unparalleled I’m on the island. The space is very modern and clean and refined. There are however a few things to be aware of. The wine list skews white which is reasonable but is good to know. And the atmosphere is very collegial which is fun but can lead to clear delays in seating. Making reservations in the early seating window is important if you don’t want to be delayed.
Food and Service were absolutely phenomenal!! We are visiting from Philadelphia and this has been the best meal we have had here so far. Great job!!
Service was excellent across the board!
My husband and I went here for our anniversary. The service was impeccable, and the food was amazing. Our waiter was very attentive, without being overbearing. We participated in the 5-course tasting menu with the wine pairings. All the wines were spot on with the dishes, and the flavors were next level. Additionally, they gave us an extra dessert in celebration of our anniversary, which was very thoughtful. I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a nice meal in Honolulu.
The best dining experience I had in Honolulu. Food and service is top notch. First class and comparable to top restaurants in major cities.
Starters were delicious. Short ribs and mochi crusted kampachi were awesome. Desserts were fantastic. Definitely a repeat.
Fantastic as always! Great to see MW rebound from a horrendous year that has devastated the restaurant industry. Will be back soon!
Excellent food, presentation and price! Had only 1 hour lunch break and they were able to serve a full Pre-fixe meal with dessert and cocktail in the short time frame. mahalo to the chef and our server Jennifer!
Good was perfect and delicious- wait help courteous and knowledgeable about menu love that place!!
I don't like restaurants that only have valet parking. Ambiance is sterile and view is terrible. The food is good but overall not my cup of tea.
The food was great, the desserts especially to die for. We sat at the bar and had great service. We're young, so we've had nice restaurants disregard us in terms of service. But not MW!
Great time and food was delicious-Thales are sparse for COVID mitigation so definitely made it a little more open than normal but great level of music to offset smaller customer crowd. Overall would go back for another special occasion.
We had a lovely time. Everyone was excellent and friendly. Food delicious. Definitely a must do if you're in Honolulu.
Celebrated my birthday. Also realized I celebrated my birthday at MW 5 years ago. It was a nice meal.
We've several times and as always a great place to eat, drink, and visit with friends. My only problem all the food was good except the pork chop which I ordered. It was pretty tough. Everyone's food was great.
MW used to be my go-to restaurant for a nice lunch, but I was quite disappointed on my recent visit. The seafood bisque tasted burnt. The salad was good. I ordered a (mushroom) risotto dish for the first time, so maybe it's supposed to be starchy, but I didn't like it, and I thought it was rather bland. My husband's steak (for a supplemental $12) was good. I didn't complain, as no one asked how the food was. The service, however, was good as usual.
Appetizers, entrees, and deserts were brilliantly executed, very tasteful, and wholly memorable,
Ate mostly at lunch at old place. Will try downstairs next. Our server was very professional and nice.
We had a phenomenal meal, sampling several unique and we'll crafted cocktails, perfect bit appetizers and scrumptious fish entrees.
Really really hard to find this restaurant. Terrible signage and the “get directions” function worked poorly. Eventually found our way in after asking people all through the neighborhood. But staff was nice and food memorable once we got there.
Excellent food and service as well. New location shares space with a high end car dealership and we were Sat at the entrance, right by the bar, so everyone walked past out table, but it was much quieter than sitting in the main dining room in my opinion, so we were able to hear each other.
We were going to get the butterfish, but the waiter recommended the paella. Big mistake. It was precooked. The serving size was for one. It came out in a small cast iron skillet. It had scallops, shrimp, lobster claw meat, chicken, sausage, and small clams. Shrimp was over cooked and hard. The rice was soaked in the broth. Paella should have crispy rice crust at the bottom. No such thing. For the $49, I would rather pay more to get authentic paella than this rendition they served. I looked at another diner eating it and his facial expression screamed anything but delicious.
Table service was not good. To make room on our table, we had to stack plates. Took about 15minutes for them to be cleared.
Didn't want to order dessert based on the quality of the meal. We got cookies to go though.
Overall impression was average. Nothing tempting us to come back soon. Meal was cheaper than the original Alan Wong location, but the experience was not the same. The staff didn't seem attentive like I mentioned. At Alan's you almost felt like you were the only diner there even though it was busy. Almost felt like part of the family at Alan's. He has big shoes to fill.
The food, drinks & service were great, but space lacks atmosphere.
Jennifer was a great server, attentive and kind
Food on point!
What one of the best restaurants in Hawaii. Very creative food. Beautiful environment and view.
