Located on 2nd Floor in Velocity Honolulu Building. Use "Velocity Honolulu" or enter in "888 Kapiolani Blvd" as destination location for Uber or Lyft. DO NOT enter MW Restaurant in Uber or Lyft, because we have been having issues with guests being dropped at our old location. Entrance to the restaurant and valet parking is from Kapiolani Blvd making a right turn up the ramp. Parking on the ground level in the MW Valet only stall is prohibited and subject to be towed away at the owner expense.

    A foody’s restaurant. Exceptional service makes the delectable menu and outstanding dishes that much more memorable. Could easily be considered a Michelin starred restaurant! We’re going back again.

    We started off with some appetizers. The short ribs, the ahi bowl and the crab cakes. I loved the short ribs the best. The ahi bowl was amazing but the crab Cakes were a bit fishy for me. That being said, I’m not much of a crab lover. The others loved them. Dinner was the steak and paella. We also had the truffle French fries which were the BEST we’ve ever had! Make sure you order them! Also we had the Caesar salad which was absolutely amazing. I am a “foodie”and am particular about how food should taste. M&W did not disappoint!

    The restaurant is very nice and the service was excellent. The issue I had was the prices are very high and some of the dishes could have been better. The salads were nicely presented but lacked in flavor a bit. The fresh Mahi Mahi was the real problem. Any local chef should know how to cook this fish. It is very delicate and can not be over cooked. It was over cooked and also soaked in a strong teriyaki style sauce which completely over powered the flavor of this delicate sweet fish. Maybe it could work for Ahi, but not Mahi, quite disappointing. The wine list needs some lower price point wines. The lowest Cabernet was $85 and they came back to tell me they ran out. I had to jump to $146. They certainly should be able to produce some good wine in the $50-60 range.

    We celebrated our wedding anniversary and love the experience! I had high expectations for this place and MW went above and beyond! Service was personable and professional, food was unique and on the spot! We shared some appetizers, salad and two fish main dishes. And delicious DESSERT to finish off! Our server recommend us Kampachi and miso butterfish which were both perfectly cooked and seasoned well. Especially miso honey glazed miso butterfish was the best I ever had!!! I felt like all the dishes was good portion and price is set right for quality. I wanted to try all the dessert but I will save them for next visit!

    Duck confit was too salty to finish. Oysters were small, not much flavor other than a very strong brine. Butterfish was good although a little too sweet. Kimchee potato salad was very good. Desserts the star of the evening.

    The place was not easy to find. It wouldn't hurt to put a few signs out on the sidewalk to help find the place. Food was good, cocktails were great. We thought the plates were going to be on the smaller side. The server could've done us a favor and told us that the steak entree was going to be suffice for sharing because we could've done without the second entree.

    We love this restaurant. It’s one of our “must go to’s” when we are in Honolulu! We’ve been coming there since 2017 and it never disappoints —always new things on the menu. But don’t miss the MW Candy Bar—it’s sublime!!

    Okay, this is the first time that I've gone to MW in a loong time. EVERYTHING that I tried was amazing, and I'm a picky eater. Even the steamed vegetables and the rice was good, hahaha. I loved the presentation, staff was friendly and helpful. I'll be back for sure.

    The location proved a bit challenging to find by car, but once we arrived, we were delighted by the fantastic atmosphere and excellent service. Our only disappointment was that the PAN ROASTED BRISTOL BAY SCALLOPS, which had piqued my interest on the website, were unavailable that evening. These scallops were the dish I had been eagerly anticipating. Undeterred, we proceeded to order a selection of dishes, including steamed clams, stir-fried vegetables, gold potato gratin, a Caesar salad, MOCHI CRUSTED KONA KAMPACHI, TRUFFLE BRAISED SHORTRIB, two glasses of tea, and a brûlée. The standout of the evening was unquestionably the clams, which were exceptionally delicious and quickly became our favorites. The TRUFFLE BRAISED SHORTRIB was another highlight, boasting remarkable tenderness and flavor. While we thoroughly enjoyed the meal, we couldn't help but feel that the prices were somewhat steep given our overall experience. Nevertheless, the service, helmed by the friendly Kyle, was commendable. When we mentioned that the veggies were overly salty, he promptly replaced our plate. To sweeten our evening, the restaurant surprised us with a special dessert to celebrate our honeymoon. In conclusion, our dining experience was filled with creative and unique flavors, offering something new and exciting. However, in the future, when seeking to celebrate important events, we may explore alternative dining options to ensure the best value for our special occasions.

    I have eaten at the MW bar several time; however, this is the first time I ate in the main dinig room. The service was fantastic, including deliverying new silverware on a plate. The food was exquisite! The sides of kimchi, to the presentation of the main course, both were spot on. Definitely a place for a memorable date or special occassion.

    We had an amazing experience at the MW restaurant. All the waiters were very kind and attentive to our requests. They even went above and beyond to cater for our groups dietary restrictions. I recommend MW restaurant!

    3rd time to MW, first time to the new location. Food remains outstanding, with desserts being some of the most inventive and tasty I've ever had. Service started slow, but by mid meal it was much better as I had come to expect. The oddest thing is the location as it is in the middle of a luxury car dealership building. However, that didn't seem to deter the guests from coming in as many appeared to be local and to me that is always a good sign. This time we chose the tasting option and was happy I did because with the 5 small bites , I got to try several different appetizers that I may be getting in the future. Overall this was a solid meal and experience.

    We went to dinner here (on our honeymoon!) and LOVED this meal. My husband and I split the farmer’s salad & seafood chowder to start — both so delicious. The cocktails were VERY good, especially the lemoncello, It’s A Date, and the spritz mocktail. For our entrees, we ordered different takes on their noodle dish: I got the tofu and he got the kanpachi (both were crispy and cooked to perfection)! The soy yuzu glaze on top was divine, and the kimchi and pickled veggies made these dishes sing. Finally, we ended with dessert: I got the Black Forest brownie with cherries & vanilla ice cream, and my husband got the MW Candy Bar. By far one of the best meals we’ve had in Hawaii! And Tyler our server was A+++!

    Michelle & Wade, MW Restaurant, did a wonderful thing for their staff and customers who are feeling so sad, hurting as Lahaina, Upcountry, and other Maui wildfire casualties both human and pets, homes and businesses, are either gone or decimated by the horror of the fire. They gave us a positive day from lunch through the dinner service to share in raising funds to be donated - every dollar earned from every meal served, to be donated through The Hawaii Community Foundation "Maui Strong" fund. Dinner was extra special, as servers and all the staff & diners shared stories and a purpose - to help Maui. All this, while enjoying our favorite restaurant and excellent menu, each dish delicious, served with genuine care to ensure each of us an outstanding experience. Delicious and heartwarming at the same time. A perfect 10.

    Our dishes were great. Both waitstaff were very responsive and very accommodating. Just a bit noisy this particular night. However, that was more than made up for when pastry chef-owner delivered our desserts!

    We had one of the best meals we've eaten this year at MW. The food was truly superb and the service was warm and attentive. The desserts were absolutely incredible. I honestly got high from the candy bar and creme brule. The restaurant tends to be a bit loud when full especially in the middle of the evening. but that's easily forgiven with everything else being so excellent

    Food quality was very good, as presentation. Wait staff quite reasonably efficient and friendly, considering the place filled up pretty quickly after we arrived. Don't know how to improve it, but finding the self parking was difficult -- just finding the way TO the parking area was quite difficult. We ended up in valet parking.

    Michelle, Wade, and our server Trevor are amazing! We had the most brilliant experience with incredible food and not normally being a dessert person, was blown away with the quality flavors and overall dining experience for our party! Will be coming back many many times in the future.

    The menus, wine pairings, service are exceptional. The ambiance is cold, loud, and bright. Would recommend, but ask for a table in the far right corner or next to the bar if you're more than 2 people. Jessie is an incredible server.
