Relajado pero sofisticado, cenar en Muse es una experiencia que debe ser saboreada. Entre semana los días comienzan con un típico desayuno estilo café australiano, donde los platillos clásicos conviven con los contemporáneos. A la hora del lunch el énfasis está en el reino vegetal, con un menú que cambia diariamente dependiendo de lo mejor de la temporada. Las noches en Muse son un romance con el campo: inusuales platillos en el bar, aceitunas locales, charcutería y generosas porciones de queso artesanal australiano. También ofrecemos un pequeño menú que cambia diariamente con porciones individuales para viajeros solitarios o para quienes desean algo más sustancioso. Entendemos los requerimientos dietéticos del siglo XXI y hacemos todo lo posible por atender a carnívoros, vegetarianos, pescetarianos y cualquier punto intermedio. Y desde luego no hemos olvidado a aquellos quienes disfrutan de lo dulce: contamos con pasteles y repostería a lo largo de todo el día, además de una amplia gama de postres. De lunes a viernes comienzan con un típico estilo café de desayuno de Australia, donde se sientan los clásicos platos junto con más contemporánea. En el almuerzo se hace hincapié en el reino vegetal, con un menú que cambia a diario dependiendo de lo que está en su mejor temporada. Las noches en Muse son un asunto de pastoreo: placas de barras intrigante, aceitunas, embutidos locales y cuñas de queso generosas australiana hecha a mano. También ofrecemos un menú más pequeña que cambia diariamente de comidas individuales para viajeros solos o aquellos que después de algo un poco más sustancial. Entendemos las necesidades de las dietas del siglo 21 y haremos todo lo posible para atender a los carnívoros, vegetarianos, pescetarians y todo lo demás. Y sin duda alguna no hemos olvidado de aquellos con un diente dulce: tartas y pasteles están disponibles durante todo el día, así como una generosa dotación de postres.

The quality of the food was overpriced well beyond equivalent standards elsewhere in Canberra. We won’t be coming back or recommending to others.

We all enjoyed our breakfasts. I appreciated the opportunity to ‘build my own brekkie’ although feta to go with my sourdough, poached eggs and avocado would have been good. Happy with the service.

Muse has it covered! Excellent service from the time we arrived until we finished a shared birthday lunch. The menu, though not extensive left us agonising over the the plates on offer as the choices were very appealing to both of us. Finally, having consulted with our waiter we decided on the Kingfish and Chickpea Tagine agreeing that we could have a taste of the others selection. My friend had the Haloumi as a starter, which was full of flavour and absolutely delicious. I will be having this next visit though my Beetroot Tartare was a close second. Mains included a glass of house red or white and while my friend tucked into the Kingfish I had the Chickpea Tagine and again both were beautifully plated and delicious. Allow time to browse the adjacent bookshop as they have an excellent collection of books on their shelves and tables. Overall, a wonderful venue for lunch.

The food and drink was absolutely delicious and we will definitely be back to try other things on the menu or just to have the same again! Service was friendly and not intrusive. And while it seemed noisy as you enter the restaurant, it didn’t effect the six of us at the table having a conversation. It was a really nice atmosphere. And loved being able to browse the books after our meal. Ps the coffee was perfect!!

Our 5th year at Muse for Xmas brunch. We keep coming back for the relaxed atmosphere, friendly service, delicious food (and an excellent bloody Mary) and some Xmas Day shopping in the bookshop.
