Quality of food has gone down; watery salad, very small amount of soup for the price and very salty, didn’t offer any bread, food took forever and extremely noisy
Everything was perfect!
We traveled from TN to celebrate a birthday and had an exceptional experience! The food was excellent, the atmosphere classic and cozy, and the service was flawless. Already planning our next visit. Thank you!
One of our favorite restaurants in town. Food and service were both very good.
Good food, great service. Gray place for dinner before Fox theater show.
Great week night dinner with the girls. Food and service is always good here.
My family joined me at Murphy’s for my birthday! Loved it! Meatloaf? AMAZING!!! Brisket melts in your mouth! The Sweet Potato Creme Brûlée is to die for!! Just a perfect experience.
Love Murphy’s - alway’s great! Will be back again, and again, and again
Always a great experience for food and meeting friends.
A favorite in Atlanta. I love taking out-of-towners here. The only negative is the lack of parking. Wish it was easier to park.
Enjoyed the salmon over lentils and the avocado toast. My guest had the tortilla soup and the grilled chicken salad. Everything was wonderful
My husband and I dined at Murphy's recently. The food and service was excellent. What wasn't excellent was the "Complimentary" Valet Parking. First off, it's not complimentary as stated, but that was not the problem. The problem was that the attendants were not attentive. People were waiting in front of the restaurant for the attendants to come and get their claim tickets and retrieve their cars. One gentlemen indicated he had waited as long as 26 minutes. My issue was that it took the attendants over 10 minutes just to locate my transponder and as it turned out, it was in one of the attendants pants pocket. Needless to say I will NEVER valet park at Murphy's again. If I had to rate the Valet Parking, I would give it a -5. A bad experience with parking can mar the restaurant review if they are connected. This Valet Parking is provided via Murphy's, so I am knocking off a star because of the bad experience with the "Complimentary" Valet parking (Which I actually paid $5 dollars for).
We had a wonderful time. Our server was great and the meal was wonderful. The ambiance is great for dinner with friends.
We had such a nice dinner. Started with salads and cocktails - both were delicious and arrived in a timely manner. I had the salmon. Both the fish and the warm lentil salad were outstanding. We finished with the Tollhouse pie. Do it.
The food and service were very good, but the ambient noise level was high, making conversation difficult.
A friend recommended Murphy’s and we were so happy she did. Food was really good with some outstanding highlights: lamb and lentil stew was out of this world good as were the pork chops, kale salad and the fries-that-were-not-fries but were awesome. They were made from chickpeas and flour. Try them, trust me, you won’t be sorry!
Also, having the valet parking right across the street was really convenient.
Dinner is always a treat at this classic and long-lived restaurant now anchoring the Va-Hi intersection. The fall menu keeps the focus on fresh locally sourced items and the preparation is as good as my taste buds are capable of enjoying. With all of Atlanta's top established and newer excellent offerings, Murphy's still keeps us coming back at least once and most often twice a month. And we've never been disappointed. One small snag this visit is that their superb wine list was out of stock in two of our favorites. But that was a first in 15 or more meals, so we'll be back.
I keep returning to Murphy's because of its creative and diverse menu at a reasonable price.
Wonderful ambiance and staff. The manager even came by our table to check on us. The food was fantastic! Murphy’s is definitely a “hidden” gem.
We were seated about 15 minutes and no one had approached our table, so I tracked down the host and asked for a waiter, so that was a bad start. She finally arrived and the service was good but that kind of set the mood for the meal.
I was disappointed that there was only one vegetarian option unless you count the vegetarian sides and those were plentiful. I ordered the seasonal vegetable plate and it was more like a grain bowl with a half cup of veggies added. Honestly, it was kind of bland but the portion size was ample. I expect dishes to be at least as good as something I prepare at home, but this one fell far short, so that just tells me that the chef is not passionate about vegetables.
I like the ambience at the restaurant a lot but that does not make up for the lack luster vegetarian dish.
The food was awesome. I had the lobster roll with fries and my wife had the salmon with mash potatoes. It was my choice for date night and I wanted something local. My wife was a little iffy about the place but once she tried the food, she loved it. She said we will be back!
Great meal and great service
Murphy’s was great as always. The only downside was the valet losing the car key of a friend from the far northern suburbs. Valet isn’t managed by Murphy’s but it caused the evening to end on a negative note. :0(
Food was boring. I had a lobster roll...nothing special about it. The other meal ordered was salmon. All of the food was something we could find at any chain restaurant.
Always great food and service. Need to go here more often. Restaurant was almost full at lunch today, so it's still popular.
Great as always
As always, the food, service, and wine was extraordinary!!!
Consistently good food, great atmosphere, great waitstaff!
Never fails to be a great spot! Menu is spot on, great drinks and service was once again top notch!
Always a comfortable and satisfying meal, especially for lunch.
We love Murphy's -- menu is always interesting, food is consistently outstanding, service and ambience are wonderful. My wife and I make a regular practice of going to Murphy's whenever we can, whether it's a date for just the two of us, or a birthday/anniversary, or a special dinner with our whole family. We both recommend it highly!
Excellent food as always.
Excellent service and food!! Had the scallops for the second time. Very good
Love Murphys. We went for our anniversary. Food is always good. Nice Fall menu - loved the butternut squash soup. My husband had the salmon and I went with the spinach sausage meatloaf. Both were fantastic. Can beat the $1 price on the cookies. Loved the food so much that we ordered the Thanksgiving pick up dinner. What a bargain. I can cook, but don't think I can buy the ingredients for the price they are charging and $15 to add an extra Murphy's pie is a steal.
Been going for 20 years; great neighborhood restaurant. Thank you for keeping your doors open and a steady but interesting menu.
Always a solid choice, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu
Jordyn was a wonderful Server!
Great menu. Nice variety of options. Delicious desserts. Loved the atmosphere.
