Great date night venue with good service and menu
Wonderful food and service. Great ambience!
Tucked into Murphy's after a long day of travel my first night in Atlanta. As Goldilock's would say, "It was just right" in every way.
Family special dinner with our son, home from college. Murphy’s is consistently excellent. Our server, Noz, was outstanding!
Relatives visiting from out of town. This was our gathering before a concert at the Fox.
Wonderful first dining experience! Our waitress, Jordan, was so sweet and made all of the food sound delicious. I had he pancakes and they were so fluffy. Oh and those cheese grits! Amazing!
Our server was not very attentive, runners would bring food and drop on the table without regard to making space or ensuring the right person got their meal. There was a drunk person next to our table that was super obnoxious and nobody from the staff seemed to care to get the situation under control (ie kick the drunktard out?). Food was overpriced (scallops undercooked, mussels seemed to have been boiling for days, blah). Disappointed overall with the service and the quality of the food. Something has changed, this place used to be great.
Murphy’s is always a pleasure. Great food, great service. We came to celebrate a birthday anniversary of a friend themat died in February. Murphy’s was his favorite places to dine with the Bonzo being his favorite dessert. We are greatful for the dessert Murphy’s gave us in honor of our friend.
I have been dinning at Murphy's for many many years. However, over the past 7 years I go less because nothing new is on the menu. I would like to see change in the menu. I don't go as much as I would when I remember they have the same old thing on the menu.
Over the years we have found Murphy's to be consistently good. The atmosphere, food, and service make it a place we like to go. On our budget we cannot go often but when we want to treat ourselves, my husband and I can count on enjoying a dinner at Murphy's.
good place to eat
Murphy's is an excellent dining choice in the Virginia Highlands area. Menu provides a variety of choices, all very well prepared. We visit regularly because of the great food at reasonable prices.
Good service and nice menu. Burger was indifferent but salads excellent. Best choice: Bonzo chocolate cake for dessert!
A lovely local restaurant with great service and relaxing atmosphere. The wine list is very good but the food could be better. It’s fine but a little improvement could hit it out the park. It would be great if they could step it up to compete with some of the midtown/Inman Park restaurants (think Ecco, Cooks & Soliders, Two urban licks). It would also be great if they could get a barista and serve good coffee. Perhaps they should poached a barista from San Francisco roasting ?! We’ll be back as we are local but would love to see some improvement.
Our server was prompt and knowledgeable and the food was great. Sangria was also quite good.
Everyone was extremely pleased with their meals and there was 6 of us.
great waitstaff, fresh and healthy food selections, beautiful ambiance. truly a yummy experience. thank you to all the staff and the chef.
Great food and wonderful service.
Steffi was an excellent server. Calamari was some of the best we’ve ever had. Great meal.
Our work group has visited here several times. We have always been very satisfied with the service we receive and the quality of the food.
Had a wonderful business lunch there. One of my guests flew in from Michigan and loved everything about it. Great lunch, great people, successful all around.
Going to Murphy's feels like visiting an old friend. The food is comfortable and reliably good, the service attentive, and if you go the right time, you can actually hear the person you are dining with.
Father's Day was memorable with the help of the staff at Murphy's! The family had a great time.
The food was amazing, service was very fast. Noise level was kinda high, could have been a lot quieter for me. Recommend a reservation if you have a lot of people coming or if you do the brunch.
Everything was perfect. We had amazing service. The food was excellent, fresh, very different. The restaurant has been open for almost 20 years and it’s always been in amazing We are very lucky to have a restaurant like that.
Love Murphys. Adorable restaurant in quaint Virginia Highlands area. Great selection of food and beverages. Waitstaff is attentive.
great restaurant.....good part of town...would be fun for casual or special night...…..great evening
Excellent food. Four different entrees that were all delicious. Scallops, brisket , flank steak and a hamburger. Never disappointed at this restaurant.
Sat outside for a business dinner, and it was a great atmosphere. Wine was amazing as always. Had the trout, not my favorite Murphy's dish, but good. Toll House Pie perfectly capped the meal.
Great food and wine.
Started with mussels and a cheese plate to share.
Brisket was tender and delicious with mashed potatoes, green beans and carrot.
Nice wine selection to choose from.
Carrot cake for dessert, with a lovely Madeira.
Service was excellent
A great experience.
Sat outside, had great drinks and great food!
Murphy’s was great as always! Comfortable and casual but still an upscale dining experience. A little noisier than usual due to the summer fest going on but still great.
While it was difficult to park and get in to the restaurant during Virginia-Highland SummerFest, it was worth it. Yummy food and excellent service. Always a fun, reliable place to dine.
Horrible hosts - very unorganized
Murphy's is consistently good - the food, service and ambiance. I highly recommend it.
Overall our meal was quite pleasant. Our waitress was not readily available when needed.
seems to be a decline in the quality of the menu and the food in past year.
Anniversary dinner. A wonderful experience. Loved the brisket and coconut shrimp. Professional, courteous and attentive service.
