Celebrating a birthday here with my 83 year old mom. What a wonderful time we had! We are indoors, it was the day before St. Patrick’s Day (March 16) but the place was so decorated and festive in preparation for the big Irish celebration! Anyway the food was scrumptious, appreciated the happy hour prices, and our waitress was darling and very kind. Cannot wait to come back!!

The table the reserved for me was in an open air entry. It was misting that night and getting very damp. They didn’t seem to have a backup plan. They said it was supposed to stop soon.

I hadn't been to Muldoon's Pub for several years but the ambiance is what I'd remembered and liked very much. Our server was great and the food came out quickly. I had the Chippers (Fish and Chips) pub plate and my friend had the Irish Stew. Both were very good ,however, I should have gotten the full serving of the Fish and Chips as the fish seemed a bit skimpy. Way too many fries so the balance was off.

The service from our waitress was not good at all. The food was not as good as it had been in the past. The corn beef sandwich was tough and chewy, the bowls of shepherds pie were half full. We have been going here for years and we’re quite disappointed last night.

We love Muldoon's. It is one of our favorite restaurants in S CA. Unfortunately, our place to sit is on the patio, but it gets too loud at times, especially when the bar starts to get a lot of traffic. We love the food and the Irish menu.

Food always good but service poor. Was sat at a table outside under a heater that didn’t work. They said they would turn it on but never did. I had to go find the person that was going to turn it on to find out she was told it didn’t work. We moved to a table in the bar out of the cold, but their servers helped several tables that sat after us before getting to our table. When we finally got them over they refused to take anything but our drink orders and then didn’t come back for our meal orders for 15 more minutes. They delivered our main course before our salads and had to ask for items missing from our main course plates. While I thought it was all over when we left, I woke up to them complaining to OpenTable that we never showed up to our reservation. Everybody has bad days and hopefully I caught them on their one, because I do plan to go back to this great venue and location.

There are few things more comforting that sitting in a dark, cozy pub with a fireplace on a cold winter night. Add hearty Irish stew and good company, and it's all good. Muldoons is a special place to my husband and I, been coming for years. Sometimes we go long stretches between visits and it's always nice to come back to.

When the weather is right the patio under the tree is beautiful BUT during winter the cozy, romantic inside by the crackling fireplace you can pretend you’re in Ireland! Great menu, delicious food and reasonable prices all add to this local’s hide away!
