I didn’t give all 5s door the following reasons- >The window where we were seated had a fairly large crack which was distracting. >we had ordered to share but had to ask for an extra plate. Overall, enjoyed early lunch there so not crowded. Food was outstanding.

Well sadly I can't give a good review of the food or the ambiance of Mud Hen Water. First of all there work station with the cleaning supplies next to the clean dishes and rags to clean the tables is the centerpiece when you enter the restaurant. Maybe a screen to cover this would be better and less of a visual unkept eyesore!? The food was horrible! The menu was impressive sadly not delivering when the food came. I sadly couldn't eat any of my food. The chicken wasn't cooked pink inside when I mentioned I didn't get a we will cook it more for you, it was just taken away and I was told they would tell the kitchen I didn't get it taken off the bill or an apology. So all in all, being that I am a local and love to support local restaurants, I won't be back again and think that this restaurant won't be open more then a year.

Enjoyed everything we ordered and shared. Beet poke; kahala strips; long rice croquettes; sausage & clam in coconut milk & lemongrass. Portuguese green wine perfect pairing. We’ll go back to try other items. Something was going on with lights - bright then dim. Think the dining room needs some decorating or finishing touches — looks like they just moved in. But food & service were great.

It was our first time dining here and we all enjoyed the tasting menu that came with desserts. The unique dishes were all delicious and we were happily surprised with the variety of textures and tastes. My favorite was the peanut tofu. The staff were very helpful in describing each dish and how they were prepared. I loved all the desserts! I will be back to try more dishes!

My partner and I absolutely love MudHenWater, our favorite restaurant on O'ahu. The quality of the food, service, and atmosphere is truly exceptional. Among their delicious desserts, the miso rice pudding is an absolute standout. We always celebrate our special occasions here, be they birthdays or anniversaries. If it can be called one, the only downside is the need for more parking space on weekends, but the experience is worth the extra walk. We appreciate MudHenWater for consistently delivering an outstanding dining experience.

We had an excellent time at Mud Hen Water. The ambiance was thoughtful yet unpretentious. You can tell that much care was put into the design and execution of the space itself. Having it indoors and outdoors feels suitable for Kaimuki. All the dishes we ordered were delicious and well-balanced. Drinks as well. Standouts were the ulu, croquettes, pasta, and peanut tofu.

We ate brunch, and it was wonderful. The Corned Beef Hash and eggs with poi instead of potatoes was crispy and flavorful. My husband and I eagerly devoured it. The dark bread from the Bread Shop was chewy and delicious; we wanted more. We also had the Sourdough Banana Pancakes. They are thin, similar to Swedish pancakes. Another winner. Our server was friendly and attentive. We will be eating again at Mud Hen Water.

Fresh, locally-sourced food. Unique combinations of ingredients, thoughtfully prepared, and served with care, resulted in a delicious dining experience. Prices were moderate. The restaurant is located in a homey Honolulu neighborhood. The only minor problem of the evening was finding a place to park near the venue. Searching out a parking place on the street, was, like in any large metropolitan area, a bit time consuming—but, on this evening, it was well worth the effort!

Ordered 2 fish clubs: Thin Loves brand sandwich bread, small, small pieces of fish with blat (bacon lettuce avo spread and tomato) and a slice of pickle on the side. $19 each. Moku’s Kitchen’s fish sandwich way better. Guest and self not impressed.

Always a favorite and did not disappoint this time. The beet poke is fresh, the chicken rice croquettes combine beautifully with the curry and clams in coconut bread need extra bread to enjoy all the sauce.

This was the perfect place to get together with friends I hadn’t seen since summertime. Wonderful service, comfortable indoor/outdoor atmosphere. We could have talked for hours more! Delicious food, drink and desserts!

I'm not vegan, but I like a diet that eats more vegetables than meat. All of the ingredients at this restaurant were fresh and the dishes were well balanced. I liked the feeling of home-cooked food that was neither too salty nor too sweet, bringing out the natural taste of the ingredients. The servers were polite and friendly. This is a place I want to visit again anytime. Highly recommended.

Overall a very yummy meal. The waitress was very nice and attentive. I do wish she would have given recommendations vs saying everything is good. Our favorite dish was the cured Kahala. It was a standout of our vacation and really delicious. The chicken croquettes and sausage and mussels were also very good. I do think they must have run out of meatballs because the meatballs and polenta only came with one meatball… so honestly we should not have been charged the full price for that dish. The ambience was not the best because the large group behind us had children that were running around the restaurant and getting inches from our table. Not the restaurants fault, but I think the manager could have delicately told the group to get their children under control.

Early Saturday brunch so only a few tables in. I love the ambiance of Mud, Hen, Water. The food, while fresh seemed to have too many flavors combined in each dish making it difficult to savor any taste specifically - other than that, service was excellent.

Fantastic neighbourhood restaurant with authentic food. We loved the family style menu for 4, which gave us a taste of everything. We didn’t know a lot of the food and it was a great way to experience really great dishes.

Went for lunch. Innovative menu, well-executed! We got there at the end of the lunch service on a slow week day so they were otherwise occupied initially. Overall, I feel like this was a fantastic find. Price was pretty reasonable, especially for Honolulu
