Amazing dinner that was well seasoned and balanced every course. Will come back to try some things that were sold out by the time we started and cocktails were solid as well!!

Menu is locally sourced and changes periodically, so you never know exactly what you're going to get, which I love! Every dish is full of flavor and unique, so you're in for a treat no matter what you get. I'd highly recommend the chicken long rice croquettes, schezwan veggies, and keona hummus!! Great service and cocktails, too. Can't go wrong.

Friends in town. Recommend MHW as we’d been there before. Was as good as we remembered and just really interesting food, not “just” great flavours. Clam & Sausage in coconut milk is just amazing. Staff knew there stuff too, which just adds to the passion about food.

Can highly recommend the Family Style plan. It’s like an omakase of vegetables. If your family/friends lean towards pescatarian and have one carnivore (to eat the chicken), this meal will make you happy.

Beautiful delicious only-in-Hawaii food. Nice thoughtful and balanced cocktails. Warm service. Dining outdoors there is occasional traffic noise and strong breezes blowing away our menus and napkins repeatedly that night, but the sky was beautiful pink and we were very happy to be at this wonderful restaurant.

Mud Hen is a great place to eat. In the heart of Kaimuki town, that place is a gem. Great food and the staff is friendly.

We always make sure that we dine here Everytime we visit the island of Oahu. We enjoy the ambiance, staff and the food is always very delicious.

Some of the best food I’ve ever had! I feel it’s a must do in the Island of Oahu and I highly recommend the Family Style Menu, every dish was a home run for me. I’m definitely going back and now I have a must go to restaurant for every time I have friends or family that visit.

There are only a handful of places I eat out at these days—something dictated by outdoor seating—and this is one of them. I love sitting at a picnic table on the patio drinking whatever the kitchen sink cocktail of the day is and grazing on laulau.

Every time we go we have such a good experience and the food is always incredible. They have a good thing going!

Definitely get the breadfruit, the fern shoots, and the brownie!!

Delicious twists on Hawaiian classics, the sausage and clams were amazing, order the croquettes.

Delicious! Everything was delicious. We had hummus, chicken rice croquettes, fish sandwich and the outstanding Rice butterscotch miso pudding. Cocktails were superb but a bit pricey. And dog friendly! Definitely going back.

Had the fish and luau fish….it was really good! Very tasty and lots of depth of flavors.

Mud Hen Water offered delicious food with unique ingredients but at higher than average prices. The ambiance was good but none of the menu options struck me as unique or tasty enough to warrant the prices. The menu itself is slightly confusing and there is an emphasis on family style dishes. Individual portions are quite small.

Everything was amazing except, the music was terrible at times. Very childish sounding.

Quality service, really delicious and innovative/thoughtful dishes, comfortable, clean and upscale casual atmosphere.

Food was familiar but with a very unique flare.
My wife and I shared several small plate apps and an entree. Couple of drinks and was still just under $100. Very good deal for the quality of food. Compared to other fine Waialae eateries, it’s a great deal. We are definitely going again soon.

This was truly an amazing meal! The dishes were unique in flavor & presentation highlighting the fresh vegetables from local farms. We loved everything and have eaten at a lot of great spots around here but this stood out significantly for its quality, vibe, and service. Kalani, our server at the bar was so cool and friendly. He was very knowledgeable about the restaurant and food. The highlights were the croquettes, beet poke which tasted exactly like ahi tuna, and the chocolate brownie! We highly recommend and hope to come back!

I took myself out on a date to Mud Hen Water and had a beautiful experience. The waitress helped me select menu items, including dessert!, that were vegan & gluten-free. I really enjoyed the combination of health-supportive ingredients and flavor, and left feeling like my microbiome was very happy. The space is also beautiful. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience! (Also say yes to the mimosa at brunch!)

Beautiful patio and delicious food.

Recently had brunch, was disappointed in a go to breakfast favorite hash & eggs. Eggs were done nicely, bakery items yummy but the hash really fell flat. Maybe it was the manner it was prepared...portioned small, pressed down and not much meat flavor. I was expecting a more generous serving of a savory homemade hash. I do like this restaurant but unfortunately it did not deliver this time.
