As such, Ms. Yoo, named after Choi’s grandmother Jungok Yoo who taught her how to cook, is the culinary reverse of Choi’s mokbar eateries in Chelsea Market and Brooklyn, where authentic Korean food is infused with American accents. Still, like them, Ms. Yoo represents Choi’s ongoing campaign to encourage Americans to savor the Korean food and culture she so passionately embraces.

Birthday dinner. Was great food, but was very empty for a Saturday night. Was hoping for a better vibe.
Food was delicious and services was amazing! Really enjoyed the meal.
Just drink here
No great for a date, unless you don’t want to speak to the other person. Everything else was cool. Nice decor
Amazing food and environment. Excellent service. Great spot!
Watered-down Korean food. There was a DJ playing loud (and not great) music on a Tuesday at 8pm. I waited a good five minutes before I could get anyone’s attention to seat me. More of a lounge:bar than restaurant. Good for happy hour.
Came here for my birthday with a large group of 12. Staff was friendly and accommodating, food was really good and the drinks were delicious. Was a little loud and was a bit surprised to not see it more packed, but would definitely go back!
Had a great time! Loved the brussel sprouts, the bartender was great!
A little loud in there for an intimate dinner or a team event, but the food and drinks + service were excellent! I would try to have the volume in the seating area lower than the front bar area.
This is a solid boozy brunch! On top of awesome house music and the live DJ, the food and boozy drink selections are really on point. I usually expect the boozy brunch eats to take backseat to the alcohol but there was a lot of attention to detail here. They even did a little table side fried rice action by cooking the egg into the rice right in front of us. The watermelon soju is dope. Seriously, a steal for $35!
A good place for group dining, very accommodating of my request for a specific table in the restaurant. Service was very attentive but not intrusive. Cocktails were nice and the food was also good - not exactly the traditional Korean food I'm used to but a more modern twist, but still tasty nonetheless. At about 10pm the tables get moved and the dining space turns into more of a bar/nightclub type scene. Overall a great experience and would definitely consider the space again for another group gathering.
The food and service were not good. I’m confused how they have good ratings online. It seems more of a bar than a restaurant.
Such a cute place. Drinks were good and so was food. I would definitely go here again. Went with a few girlfriends had a blast.
Expected more taste in the food.
Good food. Good energy. Price is reasonable. Good for dates and hanging out with friends for a good time without breaking the bank. Happy hours are the best, obviously.
It was my anniversary. We loved it. Everything was perfect. The ambiance beautiful. I loved the floral arrangements around the bar. The drinks were amazinggggg. I ordered the chicken tacos, so crispy and the sauce was delicious. Perfect date night spot. Very intimate. I will return again. Thank you !
Nicely revisited korean dishes. Nice presentations. Definitely one of the best pork bellies I’ve had. Friendly staff.
The food was excellent. The Bao buns could have used a bit more sauce but everything else including the service was incredible.
Ms. Yoo has a small intimate first floor layout but it still feels like a clubstaurant... with music so loud you have to shout across the table and servers taking orders on iPads despite the fairly small seating area. There are only two wines on the menu, one red and one white. The red is a Robert Mondavi that can be purchased in a wine store for no more than $10. It is sold for $47/ bottle at Ms. Yoo. The unflavored Soju tastes very cheap and it took forever for us to be served our very unremarkable Bibimbap. From all four people who dined with Ms. Yoo... I don't think I single one of us would return although we did have fun laughing at the absurdity of it all.
Amazing food and great service! Can’t go wrong with anything you order but the pork buns, burger and wings are awesome!
Went for Valentines Day dinner. Really cute place. Good place to go for a date.
We somewhat randomly came upon Ms Yoo on open table and were intrigued by the menu. We were immediately taken by the fun decor, including a gazebo-like structure over the bar draped with faux flowers contrasted by rectangular neon lights in primary colors. Our experience only improved from there. We ordered an assortment of dishes to share between the two of us and LOVED everything. The brussels sprouts were a particular standout. It was a bit loud to carry on an in-depth conversation, and as it approached 11pm, the staff began to clear out the tables as the space transitioned from restaurant to more of a bar/club vibe. Nothing wrong with that, but good to know when you book a late dinner!
Great food and cocktails! Not a huge restaurant (as are most places in NY), so it was a bit noisy but still a great environment. Will definitely be revisiting!
Cute concept, but food was really overpriced and there was only one poor waiter. Took forever to get the food and drinks out. The place was also empty and they had a dj...so very strange ambiance.
Loved Ms. Yoo! They have a great happy hour and the food is absolutely delicious. Atmosphere is fun and trendy. They even had a live DJ! Will definitely be going back with my friends.
Chic quiet restaurant. Perfect for date nights. Great Cocktail menu!
Waiter was terrible, got orders wrong. Food came out late, forgot one of the orders. Food was cold. Had to continually ask for water. They seemed very disorganized.
The place was lovely and service was good. Noise level is a little high but the food well worth it.
Was one of the few places on open table available for a last minute res and I had been wanting to try it. Pleasantly surprised to find the portions were larger than expected - we actually had to cancel our last main entree because we were too full. Love the decor and the ambiance. Service was a little lackluster. I don't blame the staff for this. I felt they were as attentive as they could be but the restaurant seemed understaffed.
All in all, definitely recommend. Already planning my next trip!
The food was delicious (don’t miss the pork belly board) and so were the cocktails. The wine and beer selection could be better though.
Not many options on the menu but food was great nonetheless. The rice cake mac & cheese appetizer was our favorite part. Waiter forgot to put in appetizer and brought it to us after dinner was served. He apologized by discounting us 10% which was really nice of him.
Great DJ and ambiance.
Really fun spot with club-like feels and amazing food. The drinks could have been stronger and I wish there was more spacing between courses, but overall the staff was attentive and the music was great.
Went with a date for a early dinner, and the place was a bit empty. The waiter was nice but seemed to be slow in terms of servicing us for the food that we ordered and waiting for the check took forever. The food itself was very mediocre except for the wings. The bimibap was very soupy and its not the kind of bimibap that I'm used to. The decor was nice but the place is a lot smaller than the pictures, I doubt I'll be going back.
Great tasting food and great value and great service
Food was good but it was SO LOUD. As a group of only four, we had to basically scream to hear each other speak. Courses were improperly timed, some people were completely finished eating by the time others’ dishes had arrived, and they forgot about two of the things we ordered so we had to remind them.
Place has a nice designed, is comfortable, and clean. Food is Korean take on classic American staples... delicious. Staff is friendly and welcoming.
The food was good but they ran out of the entrees we really wanted to try
Went there for happy hour, the menu was really good value. The KFC wings were fantastic but some of the other dishes were abit hit and miss. Service was excellent. The waiter made a point to let us know if we want to order any more food just before happy hour was finishing.
