Sat outside - beautiful day, great environment, savory food
Arrived 5 min before reservation. Checked in again with host 25 min later and was told they had no table for us and others had been waiting 40 mins and it would be at least 40 more min. I said we had a reservation and she said that didn’t matter and was not apologetic. Left without getting a table and won’t be back
We made reservations thinking that we were reserving a table in the bar so we could see the band. Not the case. We arrived at 8 and it was practically shoulder to shoulder standing room only. A little to tight for me. There was a private party in an a joining room that possible could have contributed to the congestion that night but by the time we left at 9:30, we were happy to be reducing the head count before the fire marshalls arrived.
Food was ok. Server was very sweet but had too many tables. Was a bit disappointed given all the hype.
a beautiful restaurant, offering a wide range of options, which we appreciated because of a vegan in our party. Our meal was delicious, they were able to take us a bit early, service impeccable, and the whole experience totally delightful.
A very pleasant evening. Server was very friendly n courteous. Food was great!
The food, service and ambiance was amazing. We went for dinner, and had an amazing experience.
Great value Valentines dinner with lots of food plus leftovers!!
Told our waitress that we had to get to a movie and she expedited all 4 courses.
Reservations were made in advance for an early Valentine's Day dinner with my wife, we showed up and no table was reserved as we were told the dining room was "full" and that a special event was happening. I was not informed of this in advance. We were offered a seat by the bar or told to we could wait in the dining room for a seat to open up at the bar. Not what we were expecting from a restaurant of this supposed caliber with reservations made.
We made reservation for pre-valentine's day dinner. I wrote openTable communication section that Please offer warm and cozy table for Valentine's dinner. Rain was so hard. When we arrived, Receptionist did not read openTable comment and Seated us near door and near outside toilet. Food was not expected. Potion, cutting, taste all different than before. Unfortunately we disappointed this changes. Is there chef changes?
coffee was just warm and second offer was too hot. I need drop ice to drink up.
Raining day, Wish Receptionist read OpenTable comments and offer cozy table or far from toilet.
We were seated outside even though it wasn’t busy at a table which was too small, although we had booked.
We managed to be moved inside which was much better if a bit loud.
Food was superb as usual though.
Interesting that the table next to us got a “birthday dessert” and our table did not. We were there for BD get together!
Our friend would not have liked us to remind the server of the occasion for a “frivolity “.
Great server, bar steward’s 1st day! She’s a keeper!
Great night overall, food good and the band Past Action Heros was great. The bar area is tiny...not enough space for everyone but still a good time.
EVERYONE was very friendly-from the car driver to the waitress. great customer service
Very good evening and all entrees and appetizers were very good, thank you. Though, my favorite, the Chicken Livers, were a much smaller portion than every before and a over cooked. Also, the over head music could be a little more tasteful.
We came for the happy hour menu. I had the peri peri chicken and it was delicious. The veggies were assorted and fresh. The yellow rice was very tasty and the chicken was awesome. And my husband always enjoys the penne pasta.
Great food, good service. Parts of restaurant open to outside so on a chilly night it can be a bit chilly. They did turn heat lamps on though.
The view and food were outstanding. Our server was very kind, but did make mistakes on a few things. We still enjoyed celebrating there and will visit again.
Food overcooked and under cooked (asparagus). Ordered rare filet mignon and got medium well.
We came here for a birthday brunch and were seated pretty quickly on the roof. The options were nice and I highly recommend the Bloody Mary! I want to come here every weekend!
Great food, service, friendly staff, great ambience (including the exotic birds). My only advice is to eliminate the speakers in the dining area. They are so loud we can’t hear our dining partners. I do love the music, but we can hear it without the speakers in the dining area.
I've been here many times and they never disappoint.
The waitress was terrible, the food came out wrong twice. The manager Mauricio was very nice and said he would personally cook our food if we returned and gave them a second chance.
Service was much improved
Great meal. Both had the happy hour peri peri chicken. Very tasty and just the right amount!
we live locally and have been to mozambique several times and usually have a great time, with good food and good service. we went for new years eve with a 1015 reservation and were seated well after 11pm. the whole evening appeared unorganized and staff seemed confused or overwhelmed. It seems like they overbooked themselves as they promoted the event "keep your table all night" for anyone dining after 730pm. Nobody was leaving their tables and there was a line until midnight waiting to eat dinner. we missed all the music and dancing because we spent the majority of the night waiting around. We missed "the ball drop" at midnight and were seated in the lower patio with only 2 other tables at that point. It was really disappointing and unfortunately I'd hesitate before planning another holiday night there.
I love Mozambique for any and all occasions! NYE was fabulous, as always!
Great food, phenomenal service. The atmosphere was beautiful as well.
I have enjoyed dinners, lunch and afternoon drinks and appetizers here. Always great service and delicious food!
The staff went out of its way to give us a great experience for our Brunch on the terrace. Excellent waitress and hostess greeting us. We would highly Recommend for Brunch or Lunch. We’ll try dinner next time.
Absolutely fantastic food and service.
Food and service was Great! Seated inside but it was chilly. Asked to have fireplace turned on but was told that it was broken. Ceiling heaters were too high to properly warm our bodies.
I come here a lot, and I’m never disappointed with the food! Tonight we had a great server named Josh, he was nice, attentive and funny. Made some nice drink recommendations! African Mojito for me, and a classic apple martini for my friend. My friend also got her favorite, the Peri-peri chicken, and I love the lobster special!! And we finished it off with a double fudge brownie and pistachio ice cream dessert! Hands down my new favorite dessert! You MUST try it!
For a relatively light but generous bite, Mozambique’s happy hour menu is the best! With much to choose from, I had the peri peri chicken which was perfect - tasty chicken with a side if the spicy sauce along with very tasty rice and fresh zucchini. My guest always enjoys the penne pasta. We were a happy couple!
This place is one of my favorites! I love a lot of their foods, the calamari as an appetizer, the lobster special for entre, we also got the lobster and steak special entre, and the bread pudding for dessert because it was a birthday! The double brownie and pistachio gelato is also amazing! And the penne pasta! Unfortunately this particular evening our service wasn’t the best, which was sad since usually they’re very friendly and attentive!
Great service, great food, great ambiance. This was a great choice for our team holiday gathering.
Used to love this place both for the ambiance of the lower levels rooms and outdoor terraces and the quality of the food not to mention the sugar coated fennel seeds at the hostess desk. They've revamped the logistics and the lower level is now all private parties. The quality of the food has dropped drastically, the formerly succulent pork chop was beyond overly dry even when they redid the meal for me. So Disappointed. Used to bring friends here but we won't be returning ourselves. And the fennel seeds are no more!
Love the happy hour menu. Had the penne pasta and peri peri chicken and they are both fantastic.
