The Mt. Vernon is one of my regular local haunts. And the specials are truly special. Steaming twin lobsters just out of the pot for under $14.00 when it's on special are amazing. You really can't get better lobsters anywhere for twice the price. And the nightly dinners for two are a tremendous bargain. I especially like the prime rib (Mondays), which comes with soup or salad, potato and vegetable, and dessert. A steal when the rib is so delicious. And unless they run out, dinner also comes with pop-overs. And there's a terrific wait staff. Mt. Vernon also has one of the best Bloody Mary's around!Is this helpful?
