   This restaurant no longer exists! I booked and turned up to discover it wasn't even there. You need to update your records!

   The restaurant has moved to new premises and it was not a pleasant experience. I suggest you book a different restaurant

   I was amazed to find that the restaurant had moved from it's premises on Queen Anne Street to Drury Lane. It has downgraded from a 5 star upmarket Indian restaurant to a 2 star High Street. Poor décor, stroppy waiter (we had to request glasses for our water and cutlery), 1 unisex toilet as the other was out of order, threadbare carpet in places. Although the till receipt stated Moti Mahal, the menu was Majestic restaurant and there was no signage above the restaurant door. If you never experienced the previous restaurant, you will find probably find this ok. If you are expecting the original MM, you will be very disappointed. The food however was very good. Check your bill as we had a 50% offer and it wasn't deducted. I had to remind them.

   The service was absolutely appalling! Firstly, we asked for drinks from the menu and were told they didn't have it, then we asked for another and the same thing, so I proceeded to ask what do you have and was met with an abrupt reply, "what do you want". Secondly, it took about 30minutes or more for our order to be taken and then another 30minutes to receive our starters. I had ordered the tandoori chicken which was nice to begin with, until I got to the bone and realised it wasn't cooked through! At this point I had had enough, so pushed the plate aside and waited for the main. I ordered lamb madras, but received the chicken madras. Again at this point the experience was already a shambles so I just had the chicken madras. When we asked for the bill we were told, we needed to go out to a cash point as their card reader had no paper roll. On top of that we paid a 12.5% service charge. To summarise, average food, terrible customer service and extremely inattentive staff!

   It should be closed. I came here because of a special offer from Open Table and unlike what I would normally do, I didn't read the reviews before-hand...big mistake! Entered the restaurant and experienced the first bad sign, I had to beg not to sit at a table next a very drafty door. Then we had to order drinks three times. At this point I was approached the first of many times by a very large and intimidating guy who couldn't understand a word I was saying in response to his repeated question. This same guy paced back and forth behind us over and over again almost the entire visit and didn't do anything in the restaurant. Had to wait an endless amount of time for someone who was able to explain what the restrictions were on the offer. Everyone kept saying I don't work here I'm just helping out. Eventually we got our meal which was seriously lacking in the dishes main ingredient. Also they forced us to order starters that we didn't want. As we ended our meal suddenly the guy that had been pacing screamed at another waiter at the top of his very loud voice cursing and looking like he was about to do violence to him and anyone else. Fortunately he left right after that and I quickly asked for her bill which took forever and they tried to over charge us by about £15. After much arguing it was reduced. I've left out a lot of bad details that I know trip advisor would not allow me to divulge and that you probably wouldn't believe. Simply put, don't subject yourself to this place.

   I was tempted to this 'new' diner by Open Table offer of 50% off mains and I wanted to eat curry with a friend as I was working in the area. Food was OK but got the impression it was trying to be something special - most of the dishes had unrecognisable names bit turned out to be fairly ordinary curries. I ordered lamb chops (off menu) which came with a nice sauce but the meat was very tough. The biggest disappointment was that the food was stone cold when it arrived at the table. We were past caring then, so ate what we wanted, paid and left. PS. The first Bill did NOT include the discount that I asked for on arrival. PPS Avoid the loos!

   Ive been to plenty of Indian restaurants in covent garden and I must say this one has fantastic food. Its a nice small place and it was particularly busy when we went but the service was very very good. We enjoyed the atmosphere of the place and the staff gave us a very enjoyable experience. Will definitely go again! Highly recommended!
