Your team member Gary was awesome! Please tell him thank you for his excellent service. It was also a pleasure to meet Michelle. Hats off to the Chef! The food was delicious.
Gary was a wonderful server! Great atmosphere and incredible food!! We will be returning.
Even though I've passed Moshulu ever since it's been docked at Penn's Landing, we came here for our anniversary as a special treat, and we were not disappointed. Everything was excellent, and the entire Moshulu staff was very kind & attentive to us.
We came to the Moshulu years ago and continue to come back for our anniversary. Wonderful and a very special place. Lovely!
We were there for the second time to go to d.j. Herbert’s Freedom party. Glad we preceded the 10:00 evening with this special restaurant.
Awesome tasty food! Great staff !
Will definitely recommend to friends and family!
I spent $130 with tip and only had an appetizer and 2 bloody Mary’s. I ordered the burger but didn’t eat it because it looked like frozen patties that I could get at McDonalds for $4. My Fiancé had 2 mimosas, half of the lobster bisque and 1/4 of the salmon and grits. All was subpar for the price and atmosphere. Save your money!! There are plenty of better places to spend $130 and not even eat your meal. I feel ripped off!
Absolutely perfect! Unique, delicious, nicest staff
Great experience. Food was great, but not stellar, service great, not stellar. Last time it was just my husband and I for our anniversary and the waiter we had, (closely shaved head and goatee) was phenomenal and super attentive. This time our waitress got lost and others had to fill in.
We were seated on the river side along the windows. The staff was amazing and the food was great. We had brunch and enjoyed it very much. Marci was our waiter, and what an attentive and knowledgeable guy he is. The manager checked with us to be sure we were pleased. Will definitely be back.
Had a wonderful time for his bday...we got a complimentary glass of champagne n icecream
A excellent and elegant birthday dinner!
Ann, our server, was absolutely amazing and does a fantastic job!
Thanks so much
I went here for NYE with a group of people. It was a set price for a four course meal. Drinks were not included which was fine. What was not fine was that when we tried to order a cocktail, we were told we could not because the bar was too crowded and our server couldn’t get to it?! This was prior to us even receiving our main course! Ok. So our server tells us to order “simple” drinks. Okay. So I ordered a gin and tonic. But did I get it? The answer to that is a big fat no. I was given what tasted like tonic only and told they ran out of Hendricks. Our server was very nice. I will give her that and she did apologize but this is just unacceptable. We paid $150 per person just for food. We had an expectation that we’d be able to order alcoholic beverages. It wasn’t even midnight yet. There were some other issues too but I was willing to let them go as it was crowded and it’s NYE. They were totally understaffed and not at all prepared and it showed.
Outstanding experience. Good food and Gary was an awesome server. Will recommend both restaurant and server to family and friends
As this is the first time eating dinner here, I was very underwhelmed. We were there for approximately 3.5 hours for a four course meal and service was very slow. My group was six people large, and they sat us in a corner where there were chairs stacked right behind one of the guests. We could also hear the kitchen washing dishes over the music playing (not the most desirable spot). The food was good and the portions were filling. I do not think the atmosphere and dinner combined was worth $150 per person plus 20% gratuity and any drinks ordered. Therefore, I know we will never go back there, especially not for a special occasion.
Oversold ny’s party
Lines for drinks 20-30 minutes= 4 drinks btwn 2 ppl
No champagne toast
Wine spilled all over wife and I by waiter
Way overrated and overpriced- very disappointed
There is only one venue for New Years Eve in Philadelphia, The Moshulu. The fireworks over the waters of the Delaware River with Ben Franklin bridge backdrop is spectacular. The ambience is friendly, festive and enticing. Superb food, service and views. Treat yourself and have a happy New Year.
New Year’s Eve
An excellent meal with a beautiful view of the Delaware Bay.
I was disappointed this time. The food was not what I tried last time I was there.
Recently redid the bar. Great sitting area and unique drink menu. Atmosphere was very nice. Food was good. The lobster bisque was AMAZING.
Good service. Comfortable setting and safe bet for special occasion and/or family dining. Food isn’t cutting edge but still perfectly good.
The renovations are lovely! Service was outstanding. Cheese plate, Tuna Appetizer and dessert were great. Maine Entree the fish was dry!
Very disappointing the dress code allows hoodies & jeans in a fine dining room for dinner.
The food, service and ambiance were excellent. Did not like that I could not choose a tip less than 20 % without creating a scene. I am more of a 15 to 18 % tipper. The price was a little steep as well.
The atmosphere was beautiful. It was nicely decorated for the holiday. The service was also very attentive and friendly. The food was good but not great. I think for being on an old ship there should be more exotic seafood options. I had the scallops for my entree and while they were perfectly cooked, I think the pairings could have been better. My boyfriend had the lamb loin and it was also perfectly cooked however the lamb was overseasoned and the curry sauce to go with it was very overpowering. The dessert was delicious. Also, the cocktails and wine offerings were great. Our sever, Naudia, was excellent. She was very friendly and did not rush us. Overall, I would go back for drinks and appetizers but not for a special occasion.
Very cool, unique, and beautiful restaurant. Service was impeccable. Food was delicious. A tad pricey but portion sizes are large for what they consider small plates so I would say it’s well worth every penny. 100% recommend.
Everything was nice and picturesque, except some loud tables. We even had to shout to talk with each other.
Seriously won’t believe what I write but here goes honestly - Drunk, obnoxious, privileged, disrespectful, “regulars” couple who travel 1.5 hours every Friday night and lucky for us Saturday night too to eat at the Moshulu. None of the staff could control this drunk women not even her “daddy”! The women even invited herself to another couple table where they were celebrate a birthday directly across from us. We tired out hardest to talk over the loud screaming conversation. We spent the entire 2 hours hearing about “Daddy” & “Daddy” almost begging her to leave the poor people alone. At least this drunk paid their bill. The birthday couple left & we spent another 30 min hearing “Daddy” begging her to leave! Our famous drunk then began to repeat out loud- I want to suck your xxxx. Enough!! I spoke up, leave her!! I’ll call Uber for her. Well, the drunk perked up & said no! And out of the booth she slides. “Daddy” gave me 2 thumbs up as they walked away! Shame! Shame! Zero control by the entire Moshulu staff - ruined our dining experience! But they got there 3 bills from us. Never again, should have gone to the Chart House!
It was great besides the sugar baby yelling daddy! And trying to motorboat some other patrons
Wonderful, romantic place!
Outstanding. They outdo themselves every time we dine with them. They're family now and to us, the service, quality of meal and ambiance is impeccable.
My husband and I took our 6yr old here. He loves boats and we thought he would get a kick out of it. We sat by the window, it was very cool inside. We went for brunch and ordered the waffles, cheese steak omelet, and Greek omelet. The food was great. Service was great, we will definitely be back.
Phenomenal experience!!! Terrific service, vibe and the food was incredible. Will be back.
Excellent Service and atmosphere. The food was off the charts good. Manager even came over to say hello and checked on us. It was my daughters Birthday and they made it a special occasion. Will definitely go again.
It’s a wonderful restaurant- it’s beautiful. The food steak an eggs were extraordinary. The price is in high scale. The waitress and people that work there are very attentive. It is a place to celebrate 🎉 any occasions.
Boat was super cool. Appetizers were amazing.
Beautiful restaurant with great ambiance, fabulous food and exceptional service! My husband and I were there to celebrate our 26th wedding Anniversary. Gary was our waiter and he made us feel like we were his only customers. He was very friendly, respectful and extremely attentive. Best service I’ve ever had! It’s nice to see someone in the service industry who truly seems to enjoy their work and really cares about giving their customers a great experience. Dinner was served at a nice pace and we weren’t made to feel like we had to rush out so they could have the table, which is something we’ve experienced often at other establishments. John and Jeff were also great. Jeff gave us a nice tour after dinner. I would highly recommend this restaurant!
Loved the ambiance of being on an antique sailing ship, so much better than a restaurant in a shopping center!!! Great staff, from the hostess to the server, to the manager. Prices a little steep, but food was great.
