   What’s not to love when you go to MORTON’s for their Power Hour. Definitely, you need to try their short rib, tacos and fillet sliders.

   This was my first time visiting in many years. Certainly not the Morton’s I remember. We had an 8:00 reservation, but it was around 8:40 when we were seated. My Cajun Ribeye wasn’t good. Service was not up to standard. Our server packaged our leftovers, then took 10 minutes to bring the check, then took another 10 minutes to come back to get the payment, all the while we had ice cream dessert packaged to go. Just not a good experience, and not the experience I would’ve expected from Morton’s.

   The hostess was in the closet for 5 minutes before greeting me and I had to get a server to help me. Then when I declined sitting in the bar area, I was sat in a section with no server. I had an 8 pm reservation and had to glad someone down at 8:20 just to get a drink. Apparently, no one knew we had no server. The server that did come was very nice. They offered us nothing for the 30 minute delay. There were only 2 other tables in the restaurant. The food was sub par and it was overall not worth it.

   Our waiter, Ted, was excellent! He helped us choose delicious steaks and sides! He helped us celebrate our friend's birthday and retirement with great food, tasty drinks and his service was top of the line!

   Overall a great place for steak! We had a good time at the Troy location overall - although a few things caught our attention: * Server smelled significantly of cigarette smoke - which we found ironic considering the dress code specifically mentions clothing emitting offensive odors is not permitted * Server failed to mention the side salads are rather large / another server who we've met at another dining experience came to us after the fact in an attempt to correct by mentioning we'd most likely want to split a salad next time when ordering large steaks. * Music was somewhat loud and upbeat to the point of being out of place for a high end restaurant *Lighting was much darker than we're accustomed to - dining along the perimeter booths left us eating in the dark These were all somewhat minor issues, but for a meal for two well above $250 without drinking - they were enough to mention considering our other high end experiences
