It was our wedding anniversary and we were treated special. It was very much appreciated. The service and food was amazing. We are regulars when in the Saratoga Springs area. We enjoy the consistent quality and service and we also enjoy the Power Hour before our dinner reservation in the restaurant.

Showed up on time just to be told our reservation was canceled. They had no explanation as to how this could happen and did nothing to accommodate us. Horrible experience

I made reservations nearly a week in advance and we arrived at our scheduled reservation time at 4:30 , Sunday June 16th, and were seated. We drove nearly an hour to get to Morton’s Steak House for Father’s Day dinner. The restaurant was nearly empty when we walked in. We were given menus. We ordered and were served Saratoga bottled water. Suddenly lights started flashing and then stopped. We were ready to order cocktails and our choices for dinner. Then lights went going again. This happened over a period of about 15-20 minutes. Then our server came up and said restaurant would be closing -that kitchen is closed. Then the General manager came up and said the ventilation system had been having issues all that day and we were asked to leave and told be sure to comeback another time. No compensation offered for us at all, except the Saratoga water. I think they should’ve notified us, earlier, so we could have not have wasted our time getting all dressed up and driving there and we could’ve made other plans. It was obvious that they knew service was off that night because the dining room was empty, except for us and another table. It was 5:00 pm when we left. We were very disappointed. You’d have thought that they would’ve offered you a free drink at the bar, at a minimum, or a gift certificate since we came there and they pretty much knew in advance that their kitchen ventilation was on the fritz… They did not care. I doubt we will ever go again to Morton’s.

Steaks were prepared as ordered, wait staff was pleasant but not great. Brussels were not cooked enough and soggy. Fries were ok. For what we paid I will not be returning.

GM Adam runs a great restaurant; tonight's waiter normally works in the restaurant but was pressed into service at the bar due to the Belmont crowd. We always start with the house chopped salad split for two; definitely large enough for two. I had a ribeye and my wife had the smaller filet. We added to the bill with sides of brussels and mashed potatoes and 2 large bottles of sparkling water and 2 wines, but we won a couple of bucks on the Belmont so it was all good. Spent close to 2.5 hours at our table watching the races on the bar TV; no pressure to leave.
