View Private Dining DetailsAndrea was the best waitress ever; very attentive to our every need. The wine selection was perfect with their 40th Anniversary bottle. We'll be back.
Sea bass was good but both the steak and asparagus were bland and tough plus the mushrooms were burnt. Expected so much better for the price.
The food was good, the staff was nice but the ambiance of the restaurant was off.
We had previously dined at a Morton’s in Chicago and had a really great experience. I decided for our 12th anniversary we would dine at the San Antonio location. We were really impressed with the attention to detail both in service and dining experience! Rudy made some really great pairing recommendations for our meal, drinks and dessert! WOW! We really loved it all. 😎👍👍
Phenomenal
My husband and I love Morton's here in our hometown area of Dallas. But this past weekend, we went to San Antonio for a long weekend for our 40th anniversary. I made a reservation online for Morton's in San Antonio. You have the option when making the reservation to say whether this meal is for a special occasion, so I checked of "anniversary". Well, when we were shown to our table, our waiter greeted us by name, wished us a happy anniversary and handed us our menus! It was a lovely, large, heavy weight paper menu and across the top, it said "Happy Anniversary, Mr. & Mrs. ____". Wow! Talk about feeling special! The meal was just amazing, as usual. We were so full that we declined the free celebration dessert, but it was so nice that it was offered. This is truly an amazing restaurant, where you actually feel like they appreciate that you chose that restaurant to come to! If you're thinking of where to go for a lovely dinner, celebratory or not, do yourself a favor and book a reservation at Morton's!! You'll truly enjoy it, I'm sure!
Anniversary dinner for the wife and I. We had four guest with us and we all had a great time. The food was great, and our service was outstanding.
It was great.
Morton's was very busy due to the NCAA basketball tournament. We had a reservation at 530pm, showed up 10 minutes early and were seated promptly. We ordered appetizers and steaks at 540pm. Appetizers arrived at around 600pm. We were told by our waiter at 650pm that our orders would be right up. We were told at 715pm that our food was being plated. Unfortunately, the steaks didn't arrive until 735pm and they were luke warm. The mushroom side appeared at 745pm as we were finishing our steaks. Two tables near us left without getting their dinners and said they had been waiting for their food for more than 2 hours. We were just getting ready to do the same when our food finally arrived. I have dined at Morton's in many different locations with excellent results. Very poor experience this time.
Service was really bad. It was the worst steak I have had in a long, long time. I eat at a lot of big mane steak houses and this was the worst experience ever. Didn’t get what you are paying for.
The food was great (although my steak was overdone) but apps took forever, wine didn’t come until after the meal was served. Bathrooms were a mess, water and towels everywhere and no TP in women’s, even after I said something. Quite a bit of “not my job” attitude. My daughter misplaced her phone and was ensured the restaurant didn’t have it. Then we used Find My iPhone and found it in the hostess stand drawer. When I asked the sommelier why the wine was late, his response was “well I just got the order from your serve,” passing the buck. I would definitely go to Morton’s again… But I would not go to Morton’s in San Antonio again.
Morton’s used to have a dress code. There were customers in T-shirt’s and shorts. It was loud and annoying. Not fine dining. When your waiter at Morton’s pours the “new” bottle into the “old” glass, you have a problem. That’s fine at senior frogs. Not at Morton’s.
We sat in the bar area and service was very slow.
Morton’s is my all time favorite restaurant. The food and service are always fantastic!
Great food and Great service !!!!
Aniversario de bodas
The entire experience was excellent! Perfectly cooked steaks with tons of flavor.
Great anniversary dinner to celebrate my wife and I.
Poor service
Very good food great service parking a little crazy but doable
Brian our server was fantastic, dinner was outstanding. Morton’s never disappoints!
Our waitperson was excellent but serving too many tables. My husband's steak was great (14 oz bone-in ribeye) but mine was not anything special. We were disappointed in the meal as a whole, especially since our bill was over $350 for two ( drinks included.)
Morton's continues to be one of the best steakhouses i've ever been at. Surpassing the even Perry's or the double eagle steakhouse Del Frisco's at some point. Food is great overall, but I feel like a salad should come standard with a steak/entree of your choice.
What continues to disappoint me is the cost of the food and their continuing resolution to not pay their employees accordingly. Wages for servers, bartenders, and the like has not changed or increased in the past 15 years(per average) and the expectation is for me to pay them. The expectation is for me to front the bill instead of the company paying them what they are owed. Morton's needs to step up and be a leader in this space.
Both food and service were excellent.
Excellent service and food
Recommend the Cajun ribeye
Valentines
Everything from the moment we arrived to the time we left was perfect. The staff was attentive and friendly! Would like to commend Our waiter Bryan was awesome!
nice experience my wife and I will go back. The food was great and the service was awesome .
Absolutely loved our experience. The only thing we would like to improve next time would be the service.
She was still great, but forgot about a drink .
Food was fantastic and they were very aware of our timelines.
A fine meal. I had the bone-in ribeye, my date had the bone-in filet. Both were excellent. The broccoli and Brussels sprouts were very goo as well.
Everything was fantastic definitely going again!
Mortons is always reliable. The food was good, the service was lacking. It took forever to get our order taken, and the busser had no clue how to serve, handing plates across people or just putting them down. But one can always count on a great steak and that is usually enough.
We had 7 pm reservations on Jan 24th for a birthday celebration. We were a party of three. We were seated promptly. The waitstaff was courteous. Our order was in at 7:30. The food was out at 9pm. Very disappointed. There was a very large private party occurring at that time. The food was good but the wait was awful. For being a high end restaurant not worth it. The decor was also dated, dark and very loud. I live in SA and will never return. Never saw the manager apologize that day for awful service. The waitstaff was understanding but things out of their hands. Valet parking is $6. We had no issues with parking attendant.
Yesterday I did receive a phone call from the manager who did apologize for all that happened that day. Apparently, Management realized the dining experience for all patrons that day was poor. I know that things can happen beyond their control but when someone is paying top dollar for a dining experience, expectations are high. This experience is what I would expect from a large chain restaurant.
The food was great but they were short handed on a Monday night
Bartender was overwhelmed and needed help
Steak was great, as was the rest of the food!! The service was really good also. We enjoyed trying them out during restaurant week. Only down side was no free valet parking. You either had to pay the valet to park your car and tip or park in the garage and go through the mall. Most upscale restaurants in town offer free valet. Also, the noise level was too high....music too loud causing people to tap louder.
Great dinner and service! Love the remodel and ambiance!
Great atmosphere and food. Maggie is a top notch server.
I UNDERSTAND THAT THIS IS AN EXPERIENCE THAT IS UNMATCHED. I THINK PRICES ARE A LITTLE EXCESSIVE AND ESPECIALLY ON DRINKS. GREAT EXPERIENCE BUT ONCE IN A LIFETIME DUE TO COST.
Excellent service, excellent food, it turn out to be a memorable evening for my husband’s Birthday.
This restaurant used to be very crowded and good, but not anymore. Probably only 10% of the tables were occupied.
The porkchops were very salty and dry. So salty they burned my mouth. Furthermore the asparagus had balsamic vinegar on it. We sent it back to get other asparagus with out balsamic, so they sent us asparagus that had the balsamic wiped off.
Ordered cream Brulé for dessert. The table next to us had been served it and it looked delicious. The waiter took our order in came back after a while and said they had no cream Brulé tonight. I then asked what were they eating at the next table and he said cream brûlée. I asked why do they get it and not us? He answered that too many people were ordering this and what was left in the kitchen was substandard. I find this hard to believe since very few people were there.
I won’t be back. I don’t know what happened to this restaurant. Maybe it’s Landry’s influence.
