Morton's is a great steakhouse for those times when you say "the heck with it, I'm gonna treat myself!" It's a little pricey, but honestly - what isn't these days?
Staff was super - friendly and efficient. Menu had ample choices, though none were really inexpensive. Steaks and sides were outstanding. Grilled oyster appetizer was tasty and fun. Wines were the typical markup over retail - but that is a well known fact of life to fine diners. Filet was excellent. "Manhattan cut" wasn't as impressive as I had hoped. Go for the filet instead - or - opt for the Ribeye if you can find room for a big steak.
Service was very gracious. You really are treated well at Morton's.
We'd go more often if we could afford it, but hey, sometimes you just want to forget about counting nickels and dimes and enjoy a fine meal.
Morton's is a great place to do just that!
Me and Hubby tried Morton’s in Rosemont, IL again yesterday evening 10/17/21 and it’s confirmed……Morton’s is not as good and on point as they use to be. This time there were an adequate amount of servers available but our server (Felipe) was very lackluster and not attentive at all. Our appetizers were the Wedge salad and Caesar Salad. The entrees were the Bone-In Ribeye with Lobster Mac and Cheese and the Shrimp Scampi Capellini. This time the steak was burnt, the Lobster Mac and Cheese was cold and bland. The Fettuccine and shrimp for the Shrimp Scampi was over cooked and very bland. Last week I received a call from Patrick one of the managers that was upset with my untimely review posting from my August visit. Well…..Patrick this post is much more timely and the review is consistent.
I made reservations for this restaurant about a week and a half ago prior to my boyfriend’s birthday.
My only special request was that I get a surprise dessert for his birthday. Upon walking into the establishment, the host ruined the birthday surprise by saying happy birthday…But that was fine. We went, sat down and ordered our food. The food was great, however, our waiter (TAYLOR) was not very attentive to my reservation. After we ate, we sat and waited for about 30 minutes before the waiter decided to Ask if we wanted a dessert menu, when I requested a surprise. I was already upset at that point, because sitting there, I saw very nice desserts beautifully garnished coming out for other birthday recipients around us. When the waiter came back out to ask what dessert we wanted, I told him he basically ruined the desert surprise. He apologized and went to get a slice of pie with three candles on a separate plate (why couldn’t we get the style of desert we were seeing other patrons receiving?) I cried at the table. The waiter came back accompanied with another waiter. He then proceeded to to sing the STEVIE WONDER VERSION OF HAPPY BIRTHDAY SOLO TO MY BOYFRIEND (yes, we are BLACK). I find that very offensive, seeing as how the Caucasian waiter followed up by saying “I don’t know that version”…
My boyfriend called the waiter up jokingly after seeing about 5 waiters sing happy birthday to another patron… so the waiter goes back to get a group of waiters to sing a better version of happy birthday… ONLY FOR THEM TO NOT KNOW HIS NAME! THE AWKWARD SILENCE WAS VERY DISTURBING!!!
We left very offended.
We had a wonderful experience! Our wait staff and the manager were all fantastic. They made us feel so welcomed and attended to.
We went to Morton’s to celebrate my fiancé’s birthday. We love the food and ambiance. Highly recommended to all our friends and family.
Excellent service! Steak was more on the rare side than medium well but everything was fabulous and everyone made me feel special for my birthday!
The ambiance was not what I expected from a pricey steakhouse.
This Morton’s didn’t disappoint. There are few places like it anywhere. A guaranteed straightforward, outstanding meal. We can always rationalize the price tag for that!
Enjoyed the relaxed dining and the food was great!
Our absolute favorite place to go when we are in Rosemont! We celebrated our 8th anniversary and everything was outstanding as usual!
My husband and I came here to celebrate his birthday and everything was perfect! The staff was amazing and the food was impeccable!! We have been to Morton’s steakhouse multiple times but this was the first time we came to the Rosemont location. We will be only coming to this location from here on out! Our server was either Taylor/Tyler and he was amazing!! Could not have had a better meal! Food & drinks were 5 stars and the staff went above and beyond!
Morton's Rosemont has been our go~to restaurant for special occasions for more than 30 years. Patrick is a phenomenal manager and the crew who works with him can't be topped.
It would have been amazing. But the table behind us & their complaining was embarrassing. Took away from the whole ambiance
My husband birthday !
Amazing experience. Food was exceptional.
As always, a fantastic dining experience at Morton's. Experienced and knowledgeable servers and the wine steward was very helpful.
Our party enjoyed three different steaks and the sea bass. All cooked to perfection.
Food delish as always! Service attentive and thorough! My only gripe would be the standards for dress that fine dining establishments now allow....Morton's site specifically says a jacket is required for men in their dress code. I spent the week finding a jacket for my 17 year old son to wear and was looking forward to demonstrating to my family that such standards still exist. I was wrong. Our family was essentially, THE ONLY family in jackets. I even saw a teen girl in ripped jean boodie shorts.......At least no one was wearing a ball cap:(
Everyone in our party enjoyed their meal. Our server, Hank, was very knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations. He was delightful. Great cocktail menu!
Amazing food and service
Another perfect anniversary spent at Morton’s Rosemont. Great food and service, but the best part is the entire staff. They always make you feel like you are the most important person in the room. Can’t thank you enough for another perfect anniversary
It's Morton's - what did you expect? Only excellence, my friend. Great service, food, and atmosphere. :-0 Will go back.
We were celebrating a birthday and the experience was wonderful. Food, wine and drink were delicious and service was outstanding.
Excellente!!!!!!!!!! The best choice I made all year
The food was indeed outstanding! The Prime Bone-In Ribeye was excellent as expected! Mojitos were delicious. I really appreciated that my food was not overly salted. Often times, restaurants add too much salt in an effort to bring out the flavor, but Morton's, let the food speak for itself!
Seemed like they hired servers and chefs the day before. Server had to refer to a cheat sheet when we asked what was in the salad. Wine came out warm and had to be chilled—twice. Sommelier (if that is what he was) didn’t know anything. Several food items did not come out as ordered. And worst of all, the snake river farms wagyu filet was worse than regular grocery store tenderloin. Maybe just temporary restarting after COVID but definitely not up to usual high standards for Morton’s.
Great steak and service.
Absolutely GREAT service
Overall great experience. Will return!
Good to be out. Great food and service.
Restaurant was great. Staff very friendly and helpful.
We went to Morton’s Steakhouse in Rosemont, IL for dinner on Friday, August 6, 2021. Dinner started with warm bread and butter, a seasonal sangria, caesar salads, and jumbo shrimp alexander which were delicious. The entrees were the Twin Lobster Tails which were very good, the double cut pork chops which were juicy and tender, a bone-in ribeye and a Cajun ribeye which were both very bland and a bit tough. Morton’s is slipping. The steaks were not seasoned at all and neither were they tender. Both steaks were tough.
Second time we have been here for dinner. The food is outstanding!
The food was excellent and the menu even had a special dedication to myself and my sister for our birthday. The food was excellent, an overall great experience!!!
Very rushed service, did not come and check on us most of the time we had to call them. Very weird vibe the beginning of the night.
Steaks were tough. Filet should be tender. Many customers dressed like they were going to the beach instead of upscale restaurant. Smelled like a locker room after a while. Restaurant downstairs with no elevator sevice in the restaurant so my 82 year old mother had difficult. Not a good night
My husband was told to remove his hat an hour into our meal. Multiple people could have told us in the restaurant before we sat down. The light hurts his eyes and he was not comfortable taking it off. After being asked and questioned, we felt uncomfortable staying. We paid full price for a meal we didn’t eat and drinks we didn’t finish. The waiter was nice but other service members were terrible. They need to get there employees in line so this doesn’t happen again.
Fantastic food. Best as usual in every Morton´s I visited.
Service very good, specially the somelier, he got what I need fast and sure what he offered to me.
