Server was friendly, but dining experience was very rushed for a restaurant that was half empty. Decor was very dated. Wouldn’t have come if it weren’t for a gift card we’ve received. If we ever receive another gift card, I would probably give it away...
Great food service the best!!
The husband & I had a great meal. The Cajun ribeye is soooo delicious and my husband had red snapper with shrimp Alexander. The service was impeccable. Cesar was an amazing server. Very knowledgeable on the food, drinks, history of the restaurant and the city. Will definitely be back.
Our waitress was fantastic. She really made the night. Our food was terrific, as always, and the manager recommended a terrific wine. All in all a wonderful night.
We love coming to Morton’s for special occasions. It’s definitely pricey but the perfect place to celebrate any special occasion!
Wife’s birthday. Good spot to have a great dinner celebrating an awesome person.
The service was great. The steaks were properly prepared and good. The cream spinach was inedible. The desserts were less than mediocre. Dissatisfied
The quality & quantity of the food was lower than expected, especially for the price. I was highly dissatisfied & disappointed.
We were vacationing
Anniversary dinner was amazing. Food was delightful as usual and ambiance and service were exemplary!
This experience was everything my son desired for his 12th birthday!
As always Great Food and Great Service. Our waiter Christopher was very knowledgeable and courteous.
very poor service. food was not cooked to temp requested
As nice of a place as you can find
There should have been full menu service availability and more options for kids . The food was very bland not exceptional as previous visits.
Over cooked steak - twice. It was eventually taken off the bill because it was obvious the kitchen would not be able to get it correct. Usually love this place but something was “off”. Food under seasoned and not as good as usual. Friendly server.
Wonderful service and great food! This was my second time and I went to celebrate my son's college graduation. Look forward to going again!
We had a wonderful time with friends. Our server, James, was excellent.
It was very enjoyable. The food was tasty and we appreciated the Bday acknowledgement. Ambiance is always amazing, along with the service!
Excellent service, as always.
Everything was set up perfectly for my boyfriends birthday! Everyone was nice, attentive & helpful! The food was delicious! Thanks to the staff for making such a memorable evening.
Birthday for my son
We were regulars for years. Had a bad meal couple of years ago and decided to try again. The steak seemed to have been steamed or Sous Vide then grilled. It was tan in color and tasteless. The sides were just okay. The bread was great. We should have stopped there. For $250 there are much better places to grab a steak in NOLA. Too bad. Our server was great! Unfortunately she didn’t prepare the food!
Seafood dish I had was terrible and the waitress never came back and asked how our dinner was. My friend was finished eating by the time we were checked on. Plenty of managers grouped and conversing about versions tables was of-putting also. I won’t be back.
Food was excellent. Service was great.
One of the best dining experiences that I've had!! The entire staff was just amazing!! Everyone was so nice and friendly!! The staff went above and beyond to make my experience one to remember!! We were in town to celebrate my birthday!!
Morton’s as a chain is fantastic but the NOLA one falls many steps behind the counterparts. Overdone steaks, slow service, lack of attention to detail, etc
Simply the best food, service and atmosphere. Would recommend to anyone.
I have been to different Morton’s locations many times. The food and service was great. My only complaint is that the restrooms were not clean. I told the hostess and she said she would take care of it. When I went back before we left it was worse. They are dated and can use an overhaul. The seats were wobbly and not needed to be replaced or reset. My concern is that if the restrooms are like this how is their kitchen? When you spend $400 on dinner everything should be on point. I love food and eat everywhere. I know what to expect in a hole in the wall. Often when those places are always clean.
The food was excellent and the service was attentive and personal. In all, it made for a memorable dining experience.
I had a wonderful time!! You all made my husbands birthday that much more awesome, Thankyou.
Not up to the Mortons standard of other locations I have been to. The service was very slow even though the restaurant was empty. Visited March 9 for dinner with my parents. Had to send my steak back because it was undercooked. We ordered coffee and it was cold and bitter and truly awful. We then tried a cappuccino and it was also cold. Would not return again. Very unlike the service and quality of food at the Houston and San Antonio locations.
WAY OVER PRICED & Beware the dress code
The prices for the food in there is another story! --WAY OVER PRICED! $40 for a 6 oz. steak is a little much. And that's all you got - steak - the sides were extra! Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted great. Our server was wonderful and very attentive. However $225 for one dinner was my entire weeks grocery budget at home. Visiting this restaurant was on my bucket list, now it is checked off and will not be repeated at these prices. Most people are wearing work attire, or casual elegant. Some people do wear jeans and T-shirts, but it is lightly frowned upon. Coming to NOLA where everything is casual and during Mardi Gras, me nor my husband packed anything but cargo pants and jeans, he wore those. But when we entered the Steakhouse, we saw others in clothes a lot more casual than that! Being a "tourist city" I don't think they enforce a dress code.
For the level expected from an upscale steak house, one would assume they knew what types of food they were serving. They didn't know what type of oysters were on the menu. I was told they were from the Boston area.
Everyone was very lovely. It was my first experience there and I absolutely loved it. I was impressed
The restaurant itself and the staff were superb. I was very happy with the ambiance and the attentive service, however, the food was not up to par for the price. I ordered prime filet cooked medium rare which is what I received but one does not expect a hand trimmed prime steak to have tough tendons throughout the meat. I was disappointed to say the least. My husband had ordered the NY strip and it was excellent. It definitely made me regret my decision on the filet. I didn't care for the mashed cauliflower or the creamed spinach but that may be a matter of personal preference.
Overall a great dinner. I was dissatisfied with my dry aged New York, it was mediocre and had some really tough ends. But the bacon steak app made up for it!
Horrible experience. Went for my wife’s birthday. They were out of several things, including the lobster she wanted. Ordered $70 steak medium rare - it came out grossly undercooked and lacked flavor for a bone-in steak. I ate my salad with a spoon because a busboy took my forks and I couldn’t get anyone’s attention to bring me another. On the plus side, though the overall service was poor, the staff was friendly. But I don’t understand how, with all the great restaurants we have in New Orleans, they stay in business. Worst $1,000 I ever spent (5 people).
We have been to plenty Morton’s in the United States. You usually can count on an amazing atmosphere and classic service. I had been eating different foods for the past few days in New Orleans and wanted to end my New Orleans experience with a bang at Morton’s as you can always count on them. Unfortunately that was not the case here. Apparently the dress code is not enforced as there were people with sweats and hats on through out. The server was very inexperienced and young. The manager was abrupt. While the server was refilling water the manager came over to talk to him about other tables that needed service. He would also slam menus down on the back of the booth I was sitting at startling me numerous times. I think the point is when you are paying 250$ for 2 people to eat a dinner you expect excellence and that is not the case for this location. I was disappointed.
Went here to celebrate for Valentines Day! Loved the food and the service!
