The steaks are well prepared and melt in your mouth.
Great restaurant, food, and service. Time to return.
We arrived early and were seated early, which was great. The ambiance and service throughout the evening the evening were exceptional. My only complaint was that the waitress recommended both the Cajun ribeye and bacon wrapped scallops. My wife didn't like the scallops, although she usually does, and my Cajun ribeye grew old about halfway through. I didn't finish it. Wife's bone-in ribeye was to die for, however.
It was our anniversary dinner, and the note from OpenTable carried over. They offered us a free creamy chocolate cake and ice cream dessert, which was very nice of them. It was excellent.
Was surreal to be the only seated guests in the restaurant, but excellent service.
It was really good!
Overall it was really good. I had indicated when making the reservations it was a birthday, but it went unnoticed. After we were seated it took about seven minutes before the waiter came by to ask if we needed anything (in the past they’ve been in the spot, but it appeared they had reduced staff). From that point on the waiter was very attentive and took care of us. Food was great. Steaks came out perfect. Overall a really good experience given there were protests downtown and limited staff (quarantine protocols).
Exceptional food and service. Love it
Visited at 6p friday as reopening during pandemic. Were 4 tables seated and a good amount of staff. Staff were excellent and clean.
Waitress seemed poorly trained. Food came by three people, one with mask two others without.
We were given limited wine list. I asked for a particular wine I had seen on the wine list before but we were told by the waitress that the sommelier said that only the limited list was available. I decided to walk over to the walk-in wine cooler and then asked the bartender—he said they did have the wine I was looking for. Odd.
Food was very good. Then the manager came over with mask, but pulled down below his chin and does the happy talk.
Near the end of dinner without our asking he comes with another bottle of wine, ready to cork it and saying we can take it home if we don’t finish it—very pushy used car salesman tactic to drive up ticket.
Again, food very good but service bad. Go to the Galleria Morton’s where Eric runs an excellent operation.
We had a great experience and wonderful service from both the server and the sommelier
Excellent service. Our steaks came out perfect. The smoked Gouda potatoes were delicious.
Great Place. The staff was very attentive and had a great attitude. The food was very good as expected. However the cheesecake amazed my wife and I. Thank you Morton's!
We were disappointed that the hostess and our waiter approached our table with their masks under their chins. The manager, when thanking me when returning my rewards card also did not wear a mask. One of my guests is undergoing cancer treatment and we expected that Landry's would have strict compliance with safety procedures.
Steak, salads, veggies and desserts were all very good but the crab cakes were far from Morton's caliber, I've had better at neighborhood dinners. I'd never ordered them at Mortons before so I don't know if it was an anomaly or normal for them but it was very disappointing. We usually go to the Post Oak location.
What a fabulous evening!!! Great food, the best service. Love, love, love this restaurant.
Wish they would replicate themselves and move into the Woodlands. Morton’s Grille in the Woodlands has worst music, worst management, worst vibe.
Great. Loved it. This is my second visit within a week. Both of us had a great meal.
We really enjoyed the food but had fruit flies at our table. I have never had that experience at this level of restaurant before. I mentioned it to the waiter and he said some one must have left the door open to the outside. This is unacceptable and the GM should find the cause. I would not return or recommend this location until they fix this problem. My comment is meant to be constructive not critical. I reamin a fan of Morton's.
Great service and steak was cooked perfectly, Pace of meal was great!
Never a disappointment - crew is top notch, service is second to none and the food is wonderful.
Great food and excellent service. Will definitely be back!
I’ve eaten at Morton’s many times in the past for lunch and my experience this time around wasn’t at the level I’d expect when dining at a steakhouse. I ordered the lunch filet and asparagus. I specifically asked the server if the steak comes out on a hot plate and she said, “yes” so I prefer my steak medium rare. My steak came out on a cold plate and rare. My waitress never stopped by after our food was delivered. I had to flag down the manager who happened to be behind the bar. He took my steak back to cook it and even the second time my steak wasn’t cooked correctly and served on a lukewarm plate at best.
Not my favorite Morton’s location. It was my daughter’s BD which I had told them in advance. Went totally unnoticed by our server. Server disappeared for long stretches of time. Screwed up the bill by charging for too many drinks.
Overall a C night at best. So average I can’t remember what I ate.
I would recommend Morton’s by Galleria.
We had a really good time and the food was outstanding. We aren’t heavy eaters and having an appetizer usually determines what and how much we eat. We happened to split a wagyu steak and they graciously split the steak for us and served on two different plates. They also split our salad. We really appreciated that. We aso really like the personal size sides. Again we aren’t heavy eaters so splitting this size is absolutely perfect. The attention to detail was great and while we have been to other Morton’s steakhouses we enjoyed driving into the city this go around to celebrate our 17th anniversary.
Service was great as usual. Great food.
Amazing and beautiful experience.
First time at Morton’s. My husband made a valentines reservation a month in advance. However, even with a reservation at 7:00pm, when we arrived we were placed on a wait. We were not seated for 45 minutes. Once seated, we waited an additional 15 minutes for a server to come to our table. Since we had waited so long, we placed our order right away. We ordered an appetizer which was fine and came out pretty timely, our main courses came out after another 20 minutes-my husband ordered the filet with lobster and I ordered the filet oscar style. Both medium well. When they came out however they were both rare. Disappointed and starving, we sent them back to the kitchen. Worst mistake. They came back beyond well done. They had also put our newly OVERcooked steaks on new plates, which is where we lost our side of asparagus and the sauces that accompanied the steaks. Exhausted and completely over it all at this point, we ate what we could and asked for the check. A manager did come over at one point and asked how things were. My husband looked at me and then back at the manager and said, “well...” and the very smiley manager quickly responded with “good good good” and left the table. We weren’t interested in tracking down another manager on a holiday night to discuss our horrible meal. But we were extremely disappointed to pay a bill close to 200.00 (without alcohol), that was less than subpar. First and last time at this establishment. Back to the much superior quality of Capitol Grille and Perry’s for us.
The food we received was cold and not very flavorful! On our baked potato that we received wasn’t warm enough to even melt our butter or cheese! Not to mention we had to ask for the cheese! It wasn’t given at the same time as the other condiments! Our creamed spinach was disgusting and cold. We didn’t even take 2 spoonfuls of it! I understand it was Valentines Day so maybe they were understaffed and overbooked but the food was not very appetizing at all. I definitely won’t be back!
This place was just wonderful! Tino was are waiter and I’ve never had a waiter as amazing as him , I will highly recommend and definitely be returning next time I’m in Texas
Great Valentine’s Day experience
Wonderful Valentines dinner.
Great place for a business lunch , great lunch menu and staff is great !
The manager helpful! Valet parking ruined the dining experience.
Great service by Darlene and table side visit from Myriam. Perfect business lunch!
The entire evening was without event. Everything was as expected, perfect! Thank you to everyone at the facility for a nice evening.
This was our first time and we all LOVED IT! the place was warm and inviting. Seating was comfortable. I cant say enough about our service! it was professional yet casual, and we all felt like we were treated like royalty. The food was super flavorful! we had the lunch Ribeye and mashed potatoes.. YUMMY! and Dessert was the chocolate mousse. I will be craving that. I have been to many steakhouses, but I have to say that this experience was wonderful. It is pricey, so we cant go all the time, but when we can, we plan to visit again. THANKS Mortons :)
Service was great but too noisy.
The food quality has gone down. Doesn’t taste as the same as other top rated HOUSTON steakhouses.
