Morimoto - MGM Grand Las Vegas
Everything was really good except for the steak but of a let down for the price
While the food was good, it was nowhere near worth the price charged. Wine list quite extensive but also about 2x what is charged off the strip. Go if you have $ to burn, but there are better dining options just two blocks off the strip.
Great food, my only complaint would not knowing how many pieces of sushi comes in each roll. Some can with only a few, others had more.
We were in Las Vegas for training and this was by far the best meal we had.
Our service was amazing. The food was very delicious and great value!
La comida es muy buena pero si es un poco caro... quizás ese precio con porciones un tanto mayores valdría más la pena
Si lo recomiendo
Morimoto challanges the top japanese restaurant in Vegas to be the best one. Great food and outstanding sake list. Nice and friendly staff
Absolutely amazing on all fronts. I wouldn’t hesitate to eat here again. It was such an amazing experience.
Let the Chef pick out Sushi for a combo plate appetizer that was fantastic. The Morimoto Pork was also an excellent dish that had unique flavors.
Great food & outstanding service
We came to celebrate my friend’s 30th birthday. We had a wonderful time. The service was great, and the food was amazing.
The server was only there to take our order. Did not recommend anything on the menu. The hostess was very nice and wished my best friend a happy birthday, however our server forgot about his birthday. I witnessed the table next to us have a birthday dessert with a candle. Would have been a nice touch if she remembered
This place is amazing.
Truman was our server and he made the entire experience amazing.
Great food, great service, all served up in a beautiful place. What else could you want?
Excellent food and service.
Wow what a great restaurant with outstanding service and best sushi we've ever had. Cannot wait to go back.
It was excellent!
The food was FANTASTIC and Jeffery, our Server, was WONDERFUL!!!
We enjoyed the 10 piece Sushi Combo, Duck Fried Rice, and J Vineyard's "Black Label" Pinot Noir. The Sushi Combo is a chef's choice and beautifully presented. Years ago we had the Duck Fried Rice at Morimoto's in Napa; it was superb then and again tonight.
Over the years, we have enjoyed several J Vineyard wines, but this was our first experience with their "Black Label" Pinot. It was so good we went shopping for it the next day to take a few bottles home.
KUDOS to the Morimoto management and staff for a truly memorable dining experience!
What I got for the price I paid was disgusting. I understand quality vs quantity however the portion size was incredibly small
We've had better sushi in Seattle. At average hole in the wall places. Way over priced. Additionally the location of the restaurant is at the casino level. Which means all of the smoke winds up entering the restaurant. So the "delicate flavors of the food" all wind up being overpowered by cigarette smoke flavor.
Service was excellent, waiters were very knowledgeable and offered good suggestions on food. Every dish tasted different and was very enjoyable. The flaming chocolate tart was excellent.
Fish is always amazing quality. Morimoto is a consistent go to when we want sushi in Vegas.
The sushi was pretty awful. I was expecting an Omakase experience and this was far from it. In fact it was the exact opposite. The cuts of fish were good, however there was way too much rice on each piece, most pieces lacked wasabi, and the rice was cold. The sushi was the equivalent of buffet sushi. It lacked any creativity. The service was bad and the hostess had a Los Angles Sunset Strip snooty attitude
I can’t speak for the hot menu items. This place seems good for large groups if you want to go drinking. Don’t expect high quality sushi. If you like all you can eat sushi restaurants you might like this place.
I’ve eaten at Morimoto in Philadelphia and that place was excellent. It was a night and day difference between the two. I would never go back and was extra it disappointed.
Excellent service amazing food would definitely recommend this place
🙌🏽 Hands down the most flavorful sashimi we’ve had! Glad it’s wasn’t just a hype! 🖤
Awesome start to finish! The Wagyu Beef Carpaccio is a must order.... it is sooo good, we ordered a second one...We also really liked the braised pork belly appetizer on the hot appetizer menu... our waiter was awesome... I would definitely go back again & recommend dining here.... great for foodies, date night, special occasions or if you just want a really good meal
This is the second time my family had dinner at Morimoto. The food. Remaining good quality, we enjoyed it very much !!
The food was underwhelming and the seafood overcooked.
TBH, the food was sub-par. I was SO SO excited to dine here, as I’ve seen almost every episode of Iron Chef! But... We ordered the black cod and the duck duck goose, and neither was worth the money paid. The one shining light was the yellowtail cooked at the table. The black cod had a strange aftertaste. The duck was a little undercooked and I ended up cooking it more in the clay pot that the yellowtail was cooked on. We also really wanted a vegetable noodle dish, but everything had some form of beef/pork/chicken in it and the kitchen was unwilling to substitute or help us find a solution (e.g. put some noodles in a miso soup). All in all, I’d give this place a 5/10 only because the ambiance was nice.
The best Japanese restaurant in Vegas
Just an outstanding experience all the way around. Highly recommend
Sushi was very good, Laksa soup was also tasty. Our server was fantastic, as was the whole service team.
Overall the experience was great. Our waitress Lisa was very kind and helpful walking us through the menu. Price was reasonable for a celebrity chef restaurant and the fine ingredients. Definitely will recommend it and come back next time when visiting Vegas.
Everything was great, from the apps to the main courses. The sushi is amazing
Great food! The ambience just doesn’t match the NYC location. Sadly, neither did the service. She was kind, but overly rushed and appeared very stressed. Overall, the experience was not a reflection of the NYC I’ve frequently visited in NYC.
The food was amazing! Will be back for sure! Thank a You!
The restaurant is beautiful. Gorgeous, but it just moves slowly. The food is totally worth the wait....absolutely amazing with great visual appeal. Very pricey but every bite was worth it.
Our server was amazing but that's where the great experience ended. Drunk obnoxious loud table next to us, food was mediocre at best with portions being very small for the large price you paid. First and last time I'll go there. Wouldn't recommend it and I loved Mirimoto on Iron Chief.
