Welcome to Moonraker at Pendry Washington DC – The Wharf, a signature rooftop hideaway with a Japanese inspired menu of light bites and sushi alongside handcrafted cocktails, a curated selection of Japanese whiskeys, and more. All set around a stunning central bar boasting panoramic views of the waterfront. A laidback lounge by day evolves into a buzzy nightlife scene alongside a handsome bar that sets the scene for intimate soirées and nighttime meet ups, all by the Potomac.

Reservations are limited to (2) Hour Dine Times.

Our Culinary Offerings conclude at 10:00 PM weekdays, and 11:00 PM weekends, excluding Sunday.

Moonraker does not have a dress code but does recommend appropriate casual wear.

    Meet us at our rooftop hideaway for an intimate sushi making class led by Moonraker’s very own, Chef Marcia Lozada. Guests will be welcomed with sake to start, then will be guided through the step-by-step process of making a Veggie Roll, Tuna Maki, and Sunonomo (Japanese Cucumber Salad). The class will conclude on a sweet note with instruction on how to put the finishing touches on Moonraker’s famed Profiteroles. 21+ event.     Very chic bar with unparalleled views. The cocktails are creative but pricey at over $25. The food menu is limited and alright. It’s the ambience that wows here

    If I could give this place 0 stars I would. We had an 8:15pm reservation for the waterfront patio on the roof, which I confirmed twice with the restaurant leading up to it. We arrived on time, the host said it would be a few minutes as the table was getting cleaned. After 20 min of waiting, I checked back in they said the other people didn't even leave yet. The offered to sit us in the inside back bar area and then would move us when a table was available. We accepted but reminded them we had a reservation and it was 30min past that time. We went and sat in the back, which was practically empty, and not one even came to our table to 10min so we decided to leave. On the way out we ran into the manager and told him we were very disappointed, it was 45min past our reservation time. His response..."Well a lot of people want to sit here." I said although I understand other want to sit, we had a reservation. If you are going to operate on a first-come-first-service, then don't take reservations in the first place. He just kept explaining that people wanted to sit, not understanding how reservations work. After an hour of waiting for our RESERVED table, we left. Nothing was offered for the inconvenience and no care was even taken that they wasted our time, not to mention this was a special night for my 30th Birthday / my parents 42nd Wedding Anniversary. We were also 1 of probably 4 groups at this time that this exact same thing happened to.

    Interesting experience with amazing views of DC and Potomac river. Perfect food and service. Excellent place for special occasions.

    It was amazing experience as always this is not my first time coming to Moonraker so definitely enjoyed my time.

    Views were amazing, service was slow. Food was good, we really enjoyed our time there. I’d go again.

    Drinks were great. Service wasn’t as good because a large party came in when we did. It took almost an hour to get our drinks. Will definitely go back as I have gone before and service was better.

    I had the best brunch in this gorgeous rooftop and restaurant! Redd was our server and he was extremely attentive, friendly, & made sure we had the best experience! Already looking forward to coming back again! Items tried ~ cosmo, aperol spritz, glass of vueve clicquot, ebi roll, & spicy tuna crispy rice

    Best service in town. Thanks so much to Keiko for taking care of our entire family of 7! We didn't have a reservation but she was able to help us so much. Much love to this place and its crew. Def coming back!
