The staff were kind and views are amazing, but I was very disappointed in the drinks. I paid $26 for a cocktail and asked that it contain a different vodka than was listen on the menu. They said it was premade and therefore substitutions weren’t allowed. It took over 30 minutes to receive my pre- made drink because the bar was “backed up” and once I got it, it tasted like a weak, bland cocktail from an all inclusive resort. We had ordered the Maryland Crab roll, and I was skeptical that they brought the correct order to us (I hated the roll they brought out) but my husband ate it nonetheless. Turns out they had brought a roll with salmon, which I hate and would never have ordered. They did bring us the order that we asked for when I noted the error and the waitress was kind about it. We heard other customers complaining about the drinks, the wait and the prices as they were leaving as well. I would check another rooftop out before returning here.

The food was excellent, the service was not. Our waiter definitely forgot to put in our main food order and then lied about by blaming the kitchen. When he came over to ask what our order had been that is when I knew he lied. After we finally got our food (after tables that had come in after us were finished) we got the check and it was wrong. He had added an extra drink charge. He fixed it but did not apologize. Plus there was something going on with the manager and the staff. He was pulling waiters and bartenders over to have conversations. It definitely affected the service in negative way. Also the bartender kept breaking glasses. Overall a very strange vibe.

Moonraker is my new favorite spot for casual drinks with friends or colleagues. Keiko is an amazing server and provides an elevated, exceptional experience as do the rest of the team from the hostesses to the bartenders. Highly recommended!

If I could give NO stars I would, THIS HAS BEEN THE LOUSIEST SERVICE EVER!! I had a reservation for a party of three, we ordered two drinks and two sushi rolls, the server took forever to bring the drinks, I literally had to ask a few times for the status of the order! After almost an hour, they brought me one order of the sushi, and never brought the second one, after asking a few people there they brought one one out of the three and after asking a few waiter and waitress, they all keep asking us don’t you receive the order? It was the most disappointing experience ever. I would Not recommend this place to anyone!!

My wife and I were unfortunately very disappointed with our recent visit to Moonraker for our anniversary. Based on our experience, we do not plan to return. I had made the reservation 3–4 weeks in advance and specifically requested a nice table with a view of the water and monuments. Despite this, we were seated in the back bar area, which felt more like a cafeteria than the setting we expected for a special occasion. Our request was clearly disregarded. Service was also underwhelming. Sushi was mediocre at best and arrived within 5 minutes, while our drinks took 10–15 minutes to reach the table. This sequencing made no sense, and the martinis were disappointing. One olive?? Seriously? I ended up finishing my wife’s for her. We quickly ate, briefly looked around the main bar and patio, and left. I had planned to give my wife a ring after our dinner, outside on the patio with the view we anticipated. Unfortunately, the atmosphere and experience completely killed the moment, and I chose to postpone. When guests plan ahead and leave detailed requests, it’s reasonable to expect some level of consideration. In this case, nothing we requested was honored. We can overlook average food. What we won’t overlook is the complete disregard for basic, advance requests, especially on a night as meaningful as our anniversary. Sincerely, Alec Ross

We didn't have any food only drinks. Our server was energetic with great personality. She was training two other servers who seemed like they wanted to be anywhere else but at the restaurant. Neither of them smiled once or said a word. One of the trainees poured our drinks, a glass of rose and champagne as if he was paying for them. Our server had to prompt him to pour more which was still not an adult size pour. They cleared our glasses. No one asked if wanted refills then brough the check over without us asking for it. We've had drinks at Moonraker several times before and by far this was the most disappointing experience. Hopefully, it was a one off.

A mixed bag. The food was pretty good, we really enjoyed the hamachi crudo and spicy tuna /walls street rolls. The pistachio dessert was underwhelming. Service started fairly well but didn't continue, it got very slow, they didn't bring items, and we couldn't even order more food or drinks when we wanted to so we eventually gave up and took the check. Prices were a little high for the value. I suppose part of that is related to the views, which were good but typical for rooftops in DC.

Very chic bar with unparalleled views. The cocktails are creative but pricey at over $25. The food menu is limited and alright. It’s the ambience that wows here

This is one of my favorite rooftops in DC! The views and service are fantastic. However, the prices are a bit outrageous—$35 for each lemon drop cocktail is definitely excessive.
