   Cold, bland rice with ok crusted shrimp is not my idea of a good meal. Service personnel is always good, but food needs improvement!

   One of my best experiences here. One item on the plate was forgotten but quickly brought. New furniture and carpet are badly needed. Service was excellent—so kind to one of our blind residents.

   The cashew topping on the trout was spicy hot. It wasn’t the previous 2 times I had it. Chef said it was the same. I say it wasn’t. I didn’t want to get into an argument at the table with chef so I declined the offer to speak to him. Apparently the art of positioning the food items beside each other on a plate has been forgotten so now 2 plates come to the table, one for the meat and the other for the sides. Ridiculous!

   Although we had a reservation (12;30) we waited 30 min in lobby to be seated and then another 15 min at the table to begin service.

   I had the flat iron was EXTREMELY tough! Very disappointed! Steaks usually very good. Sorry, this was a loser ….

   Both servers excellent. Chicken caprese sandwich on amazing whole wheat toast was the best! My guest was pleased.

   Monterey dining room service was backed up and slow. Our server kept checking and kept us apprised of what was happening. We both had the spinach salad which was wonderful. The swordfish piccata was magnificent, perfectly cooked, fresh tasting, and with a perfect sauce. That was a real treat.

    I had the tomato bisque, chopped spinach salad, Squash Delicata, lemonade, and mint tea. Maira provided excellent timely and friendly service. The busser was also excellent.
