Monkeypod Kitchen - Ko Olina
Our restaurants are founded upon a passion for craft and we are dedicated to mastering the craft of food, drink, and merrymaking…with Aloha! Our menu features fresh island fish, hand tossed pizzas from our kiawe wood burning oven, and homemade pies made from scratch.
Thirty-six craft beers served at twenty-nine degrees are on tap, representing the coldest beer and best selection of microbrews on the island. Our culinary cocktails feature unique ingredients such as acai spirit, coconut water, and Kula lavender. Our passion for craft also extends to our diverse wine list, which emphasizes sustainability, drinkability and fun.
We make it a point to eat at Monkeypod Kitchen at least once every time we visit Oahu. We also insist on having Christopher wait on us. He is the best and always shows us a good time. Nice to see someone that enjoys his work as much as he does. Unfortunately, due to the virus we will have to order carryout tonight instead of seeing him before we head back to Oklahoma.
Great experience. Good good. Super service!
Great as always
Excellent service and the food was delicious! Drinks were excellent and made to order!
I didn't like the seat that I got. There was no umbrella over my head. Luckily, it didn't rain. The fish taco wasn't much food. It was good. Lot of people and noisy.
I highly recommend this restaurant. My sister-in-law who is local told us this place was worth the drive and it was. The food was very tasty and original, and the service was even better than the food.
Great value during happy hour for appetizers, drinks & pizza!
Food was amazing, a little pricey but par for the course in the Ko Olina area.
Went on a Friday during Lent, so we are limited to seafood only. We had the lomi lomi and garlic truffle fries for appetizer and they were amazing. For an entree, I had the poke tacos and my husband had the ahi tuna sandwich. My poke was good but the sandwich was really good and perfectly cooked. For dessert, we had both the banana and coconut cream pie which were huge portions and delicious! I worked highly recommend this farm to table establishment and don't leave without having the Mai Tai! The pineapple foam on top really makes it the best in the island!
The food and drinks were great. Large menu with many choices. Great for large groups and children.
Experience was very good overall, but they were “out of” three of the menu items that I ordered (at 6:15 pm). Also quite pricey (but that is true of the area in general). Otherwise very good food and service.
Grossly overpriced main dishes. $42 for a piece of fish, brown rice with nothing on it and a few vegetables. Nice setting and good service.
Great food! Great service! A quick 5 minute walk from Aulani! Great Mai tai!
Excellent friendly service.
We are huge fans of any Merrimans restaurant so we’re super excited to try MonkeyPod. Everything was fantastic! Great service and food! We will be back!
Great food and service. We had a party of 11 and everyone was happy. A feat in itself! The ceiling fans were full speed but that’s was good for some and not others.
Awesome atmosphere! Very family friendly as well. Not only was the food good but we had great service also. Our daughter has celiac’s disease & is on a gluten free/dairy free diet & they were very accommodating to her which is an even bigger plus!
One of our favorite places to it in Hawaii. Eat here whenever we are in HA
Our servers at different times
Rachel and Dallas always provide great aloha service !!
We were lucky to get Aly as our server ...she was charming, efficient and knowledgeable about the menu. We all enjoyed the delicious signature Mai Tais for our cocktails, accompanied by shrimp potstickers. Entrees were macadamia nut mahi mahi and hubby had the special mahi mahi with lobster cake...there was a snafu with his, which was rectified with both Aly, the runner and her manager apologizing..they also comped us a dessert for our trouble. Great place to go with family, friends or spouse ...get a reservation or prepare to wait!
We came here about 3 years ago and remembered the food being pretty good. This visit, the quality of food definitely not the same. Service was really good.
We had a blast as usual the monkey pod is one of our fav place.
The service is always excellent from the hostess to the servers.
Food always fresh and nice live music
Love love this place
We just had the best experience at Monkeypod! We came in with a party of 20 (with 10 kids!). Angelica was amazing!! She made serving a 20-top feel like she was serving a 4-top. Our waters were always filled, she was kind and patient, and she was as quick and slow as we wanted. Best service I’ve had at Ko Olina. Oh! Did I mention that the food was amazing? I had the Saimin with bulgogi pork instead of Kailua pork. Delicious. Make sure to catch happy hour! Great deals. Will absolutely come back, especially if Angelica is our server!
Amazing food and drinks, plus great service! Highly recommend. Best fish tacos I had in Hawaii.
I got my meal on a happy hour. So the price was great but to be honest I would not pay the price for the regular menu. I get that it at ko’olina but make your menu unique to that area. I feel like Moku does the same menu but better so I could pay more there than you guys. Just a thought. The staff was great and nice and attentive. Parking isn’t good at all unless you valet your car.
YES! Excellent service! Food was excellent and delicious!
Amazing! Everytime I Conner to Hawaii, I makes sure to come to Monkeypod!
The macadamia-crusted mahi-mahi, with bok choy and brussel sprouts, was fantastic. Cooked perfectly with just the right amount of seasonings, it made for a wonderful lunch. Local-style musician sang and played mellow tunes that suited the setting. I highly recommend Monkeypod - Ko Olina to friends and family.
2nd time on a week that we ate at Monkey Pods and again it was well presented both in the food and service experience Given that pretty much every eatery in the Ko Olina area is somewhat on the high side with regards to price this restaurant keeps the value well in sight The menu may not be huge but what is prepared is done well The service made the entire evening enjoyable and will definitely make a third trip before we leave the area
Amazing food and service!! Best restaurant on the island!
Our waiter was very helpful leading me to a delicious cocktail and when asked gave us great food suggestions
Restaurant was good and waitress was just okay
Good happy hour
Birthday with family
Great vibe here and food fits the scene! Beautifully presented and delicious. Their mai tais are also noteworthy! Within walking distance to the resorts in K OIlina
We loved the atmosphere here. Open air seating is amazing. The food was delicious. We’ve already been a second time and plan to go one more time before our vacation is over. The only complaint I would have is you get very small portions (I usually can’t eat everything on my plate, but I can here) for a lot of money.
Second time to dine here. Last was 6 years ago. Always stay across the street from here. The place is really noisy. Lively and energetic. But when the live music started, the loud noise gave way to a great one man band. Kudos to our server Brandon for his excellent care and very upbeat demeanor. He was busy but never rushed. Always checking in on us and recommended the best dishes ever. Will be visiting this place more often from now on.
Great atmosphere. Food was amazing and the service was awesome. Everyone was very friendly and great with our two kids. Much better than eating at the hotels.
Always solid food preparation went for happy hour good drinks. Like the variety. Deviled eggs are to die for. Ahi steak is amazing. Don’t forget the pies very good. We always make a trek out this way just for Monkeypod even staying downtown
