Our restaurants are founded upon a passion for craft and we are dedicated to mastering the craft of food, drink, and merrymaking…with Aloha! Our menu features fresh island fish, hand tossed pizzas from our kiawe wood burning oven, and homemade pies made from scratch.
Thirty-six craft beers served at twenty-nine degrees are on tap, representing the coldest beer and best selection of microbrews on the island. Our culinary cocktails feature unique ingredients such as acai spirit, coconut water, and Kula lavender. Our passion for craft also extends to our diverse wine list, which emphasizes sustainability, drinkability and fun.
The food was really poor. We ordered a pizza that was terrible. Expected more given the price level.
We had an amazing evening at Monkeypod the food, drinks, service and live music were so good.
Our waiter Nick was extremely pleasant and entertaining his suggestions from the drinks to the food were spot on The pizza and the poke tacos were excellent as well as the deserts We will definitely be back
It a great place for casual events; the food is excellent and super tasty (a bit on the salty side tho'). I loved their innovative cocktails and the novel approach of classic dishes. Expect to wait if you have no reservations for dinner. The personnel was friendly, and the service was excellent.
Service was excellent! Love the new set up with no windows so we can hear the music from the musician!
Our server Nicholas was fantastic and the food was delicious. We were there on a Friday night and the live musician was awesome. Great experience all around.
Best option we tried in Ko Olina, by far. Service was dialed in and food was very good. An ocean view would be nice, but that's admittedly nitpicking.
Waiter forgot to put in our appetizer order. We waited one hour for food. Ordered saimin and by the time it arrived all of the soup had been absorbed into the noodles
The restaurant was loud and hot. Food was average or below.
Food is consistently good, service inconsistent. There must be considerable turnover amongst wait staff. Some are incompetent and indifferent, others are friendly, responsible and highly skilled. The managers try to make things right for the former, but it leaves a sour note.
We have always had excellent service. Justin was super friendly and made my dad feel extra special on his birthday. Happy hour is an excellent value and the music is always wonderful.
From greeting to dessert, this restaurant offers nothing short of extraordinary food, drinks, services, and an overall magical Hawaiian experience. We've already booked another reservation for today.
Our server Angelica made our first experience so good, we came back a second night. The food was delicious. Had the corn chowder and it was one of the best I’ve had. I also had a burger, I think the island burger, was also one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. My husband had a couple of bites and he agreed. Finished with a piece of pie which we loved. We had Angelica the second night and the service was as good as the first night. Request her section!!
Sadly...the server or the kitchen lost my son’s Keiki pizza order. After 70 minutes it still had not arrived. We spoke about this with the server and an additional server, and after an additional 25min it arrived. I had to tell them that we were not paying for it. The safest part (beyond my 7 yo son being hungry, is that the staff was unapologetic. And, my poke tacos had zero flavor.
Food was good and reasonably priced for what we got. We went during Happy Hour and where pleased with what we received and the service was good.
lots of lively vacationers foot traffic at 4pm - Saturday. good happy hours prices. Potstickers were delicious. Mushroom truffle pizza a tad bit underdone but good flavors
So good! Food tasted amazing, waitress was friendly, and all around great experience.
The atmosphere was great. We enjoyed the openness. The menu posted Out front was a lunch menu but we were there for dinner. Didn’t realize until we tried to order. The server was new but very attentive and asked questions. The kitchen staff who delivered our food spilled it on us and didn’t apologize. When we pointed it out he said “they fill the dishes to full”. The bartender delivered a piña colada in a broken glass but noticed it and returned with a new one. At the end they comped us 2 pieces of pie that were delicious. We would go back but they need to do some training.
Ambiance was awesome, food portion was decent & food taste was delectable.
Best Mai Tai EVER
Food a bit bland given the ingredients they had to use
I wanted to like it. But the fish was like rubber. It could have bounced off the floor.
We dined at Monkeypod Kitchen on our last evening in Oahu after a week at the Four Seasons next door. What a breath of fresh air. Our waitress was fabulous, food was delicious and the manager, Tom, ran an excellent operation the evening we were there. There was a slight miscue in the kitchen and our dinner took longer than normal to come out. However, upon realizing what had happened, both our waitress and Tom immediately took action and took care of the situation, going above and beyond to ensure we were completely satisfied and left the restaurant happy. The Four Seasons left us with much to be desired after a week in their restaurants (both service and quality-wise) and I have to say the staff at Monkeypod Kitchen outshined The Four Seasons 10x over. We are visiting from Beverly Hills and are well accustomed to high prices and the service to go along with it. However, Monkeypod Kitchen is quite reasonably priced, very well run and treats their customers as if they are paying 5-star prices and deserve 5-star service. Food is absolutely wonderful. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while now and decided to do a Valentine’s Day dinner. We were seated at a table in direct sunlight so we were sweating while dressed up. I ordered the burger medium rare and it came super well done with the bun partially burnt. It was dry and the portion was also really small and not worth the price. It didn’t come with fries either unless you paid extra which I thought was even more of a ripoff. Other members of my party ordered the fish and chips and they didn’t give many pieces of fish for the price they charged. The taste of the food was t that great either. I was very disappointed. The only bright spot was our server and the speed at which our food arrived at our table considering the occasion. I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you like being ripped off.
The food was great and the waiter was accommodating for our 3 yr old.
The ambience and mood of Monkeypod is great! Fine dining Hawaiian style with unique food and drink. Not a bad seat in the house. We had a great time dining here twice on our recent Oahu vacation.
Music was too loud
First time there and an awesome experience! From the moment we checked in and greeted nicely. Waited a few minuets for my table as it was Valentine’s Day so a bit busy and understandable. Service Food Atmosphere all great...I’ll be back!🤙🏽💯
The one on Maui is our favorite. This one is equally as good. Great food and great mai tais.
Good food and good service. Resort prices, because it’s a resort.
Had fun with my wife and friends. First time sitting upstairs!
Vibrant and lively, good service, food tasted great although pricey. Good to make reservations beforehand.
Food was good but disappointed no happy hour on Valentine's Day
Great expectations, low reality. The “bread machine” was broken, so no bread items at all. No pizza, no sandwiches, no good. And they ran out of two or three other menu items to boot. What was once a restaurant with a great experience was this time a great disappointment.
We love the Maui location so we drove all the way from WAIKIKI to this location. The vibe and atmosphere of this restaurant are great and so is the food. My only complaint is that they were not able to give us bread because they were low on the dough and my fish taco shells fell apart as soon as i picked them up.
Great food—all fresh. A bit on the pricey side.
Our server, Robert, was fantastic! He was very friendly, explained the menu beautifully, and was attentive on each round through our area of his section. The setting was as lovely as ever, and the music was great. We were not as impressed with the food, which was a HUGE surprise, because we normally love it! Something seemed a little off (Deviled Eggs, Wings, Fish the wings were delicious; the fish and chips tasted off putting; and the mahi-mahi was good. Both of us had upset stomachs and associated movements within one hour of leaving the restaurant. All in all, we love the place and will go back. I think we just hit it on an off night.
We heard rave reviews about Monkeypod, but the Cocktails were watered down . The tonic in my gin and tonic was flat and the gin was negligible. We sent our drinks back, and just drank water .
The food was good, but not GREAT, like I had heard. If the manager had made an effort to replace our drinks, it would’ve been a much better experience.
