Birthday celebration was super nice. The food and cocktails fantastic. The place looks beautiful and clean. Amazing attention and birthday music with cake
El almuerzo estuvo delicioso , y el servicio fue de primera , es el mejor restaurante mexicano que conozco , lo recomiendo.
The food was excellent; overall, very nice dining experience. Will come back.
Our waiter wasnt very friendly.
Unfortunately, the food that we ordered wasn't great, especially in flavor. Tableside guacamole lacked flavor. My wife had Carne Anadarko tacos and she reported the meat lacked any real flavor. Additionally, there were tough pieces of gristle in the taco, not tender pieces of skirt steak or flank steak.
Great Mexican food..I was able to make a last minute reservation for 9! All other restaurants would not allow me to make a reservation for a group that big. Food was great, service was good. Only downside the bathrooms were not available? They were working on fixing the problem...pretty sure it was a last minute thing.
Food was well prepared and fresh, it was just surprisingly bland. Server did his job but was not overly helpful.
Nuestro mesero Matteo y el cantante del domingo hizo que nuestra visita fuera muy placentera. Este lugar es muy recomendado!
We had a most wonderful meal !!! We are new to the area , and found this place to be an instant family favorite !!! Loved the live music and Carlos was a fantastic server !!! We will absolutely return !!!
Great place , delicious food, fantastic atmosphere with the live music
Recommend big time
The service was wonderful for our group of seven. The food was complimented by all. We had a very enjoyable lunch.
I ordered the 7 mares (seafood soup) expensive $24.00 and it was one of the poorest entrees I have ever been served. The broth was fishy with no hint of Mexican flavor. The fish mixture called for octopus which I could find no sign of and I told the waiter of my dissatisfaction with my entrée and the lack of octopus. He returned from the kitchen to tell me the octopus was in their blend but finely diced. In regard to the poor entrée he blamed the customers by saying that the kitchen changed the recipe based on customer feed back. My dining companions sampled the dish and concurred with my assessment.
We started our meal with table side guacamole -- which was very good. One of our diners has Mahi Mahi tacos and commented that they were flavorless another diner was satisfied with his meal.
Very small portions, what I would consider minimum level service. Table was beat up.
Food and service was not very good. Took my mother, wife and mother in law and they all said the same thing the restaurant service was poor waited along time to be served our drinks and food. My meal was terrible the meat was over cooked and hard; I had terrible difficulty cutting. My wife said she had better Tacos in Taco bell and paid much less. Tell you the truth the food was very expensive for what we received. We expected better. Very sad to say because the restaurant itself was very impressive.
Good services and nice staff thanks for a great time at Monarcas Restaurant
This is my 3rd time there.. I always like it and had a good opinion about the restaurant in general. This last time it was complete different the service was horrible...I’m not sure if because it was during the week maybe, but not the best experience unfortunately.
TASTELESS!! DONT GET RIPPED OFF!!I If you’re looking for food that TASTE LIKE CARDBOARD this is the place to go...I had the mole poblano, and it was by far the worst Mexican mole I have ever had. WHAT A DISRESPECT TO MEXICAN FOOD!!! Like my 11 yr old can cook way better! Guacamole is from a bag! When the menu says they prep it fresh at your table side!!!! We were a party of 4 and paid $160.00 WHICH IS CRAZY for the horrible food, the service was nothing to brag about either. Oh and to add insult to injury THE WAITER GAVE HIMSELF A 20% TIP!!! I was only going to give him a 15% tip because he was not attentive at all and it’s not his fault the food was bad. I guess they try to make up for the absolutely tasteless food with the very nice decor! I’ll give them a 9 on that. Sorry, I usually don’t write reviews but, the experience I had was SO BAD I felt I have to let people know, especially since it’s so dam expensive.
I was extremely disappointed that my booking on Open Table showed very little openings for the evening I wanted. The restaurant showed much differently. I was also upset that our pitcher of margarita's wasn't the quality we paid for.
Food was very good and loved the decor!
Found the food lacking in flavor. Our waitress was terrific. The mariachi band was a nice touch.
Had combo meat fajitas and found the meat on the bland side and vegetables had an off flavor. Nothing tasted bad...just different. Maybe it had to do with the oil.
We also asked to substitute vegetables for rice and then later in the meal asked for cheese. When we got the ticket we were charged for both items. The waitress should let you know when there is an up charge. I specifically asked to substitute the first items (asked for lettuce instead of tortillas and rice - seems like a savings on their part) and was surprised to see a charge.
The ambience, music, and dancing were fun.
Menu provided lots of options with good size portions. Food was very good. Service was excellent. would definitely go back.
Great atmosphere, entertainment, food and drinks.
We were a group of 5. Carlos was our server.
He was very courteous. Knew the menu well.
The corn chips came out hot & delicious, every time. The salsa was amazing.
We ordered guacamole. It was made fresh at our table.
My husband said it was the best chicken fajita he’s ever had at a restaurant.
We will be going back.
Great authentic Mexican cuisine. The chips are very fresh and crunchy! The chicken Fajitas were delicious.
I have been twice and the food was outstanding both times rivaling what one would get in Mexico. Both visits were within the past month and the restaurant had very few customers (good for me but bad for them).
The food was really good, I would come back just for the food.
Went with girlfriends and had veggie fajitas. Seemed to have a lot of oil in veggies. The regular margaritas were tasty and service was good. Others had chimichanga and tacos and were not thrilled with quality.
The food is really good and authentic, the restaurant is really nice decorated with lots of Mexican art and crafts, it makes you feel like you are in Mexico, I will definitely recommend this place.
Oh my goodness this....restaurant was phenomenal! We went on an adventure looking for a Dinner place and ended up here. Our server, Jesus, was fantastic and the food was spectacular. We will absolutely be back here for lunch .The prices were also very fair. We are big Mexican fans and this place tops the list. Even if you are not in the mood for Mexican, give this place a try! You will not be disappointed!
We had a great tasty lunch. The enchiladas trio allowed a combination of tasty toppings. The fajitas were a good portion with plenty of take home!
