   So I usually am a huge fan of Modavie but a few things that transpired on my last visit will ensure I nor anyone I know will ever go there. Firstly, I was speaking to what seemed to be the manager(s) as soon as I got in and the man was very nice (he was wearing a suit) the lady with glasses was extremely rude and dismissed me while I was speaking with the man. I was sat at my friend’s table and the food was overcooked. Calamari should be lightly fried not crunchy like panko fried chicken. Lastly, a fight broke out in the already very loud music area. It felt unsafe and already you can’t hear yourself think it was incredibly chaotic. Save your money there IS better.

   We enjoyed it. I thought I booked a table upstairs with the band but ended up on the lower floor. May be there’s a better way to check and confirm booking preferences.

   Decent experience overall. Band was playing very loud. They were good but loud . Several people kept asking to have there tables Moved I had the lamb chops which were good. My wife had the walleye which was a little disappointing. Not much flavor. Place was crowed and our waiter had many tables but he did a great job. We never felt rushed. I would give them another chance

   Great place. the Jazz trio was excellent and perfect for the place. Highly recommend. See Lorenzo when you go. He will take care of you. Food was top notch and very good. The Lamb Pasta was a favorite!

   Wonderful atmosphere, delicious food, impeccable service and great Jazz/Blues band. Checked all the boxes for a perfect evening out.

   Table for four at a lovely restaurant. Food was excellent, cooked to perfection. Lovely spot upstairs where we were able to listen to some jazz standards.

   Highly recommended spot, but we were quite disappointed. Made a reso for 5pm, the entire restaurant was empty and they told us our table was being prepared. Turns out they were having a staff meeting and we didn’t get seated for almost 1/2 hour. Table bread was quite literally inedible - unable to even cut it as it was so hard. The lamb chops were nothing remarkable and the steak was comparable to a small town diner, covered in sauce to disguise the fact we had to saw through the meat. Server was fantastic though. Bottle of wine was good. Lots of potential but completely disappointed by the food quality given the cost.

   Lamb cavatelli (goat cheese, morel, gremolata, lamb demi-glace) was wonderful.

   The evening was amazing. The server was especially attentive. He encouraged us to linger over our exceptional bottle of cold and crisp white wine and our delicious bread. The mushroom risotto was the best I have had and my husband’s rosemary infused sauce with the lamb was a treat. Right down to the crème brûlée and coffee the food was exceptional. Now add a wonderful ambience in a stone building and great jazz playing. Thank you for a great evening.

    We had a very enjoyable dinner at Modavie. Our waiter was wonderful and the guitarist played great music at the perfect volume for us to be able to enjoy it, but still converse. We were visiting with our adult daughters from the US. We would highly recommend this place as a must visit!
