   The location and service great. Loud but that’s understandable. Food, however, was just ok. The poutine was barely warm. Grilled lamb chops way overdone. Fish a little dry. I may have to expected a lot but at $60+ per person (with only 2 drinks), I expect more.

   Delicious food, exceptional service, and great live music. I even requested on my reservation that I would like to sit near the music, and they had it ready for us.

   Had dinner at Modavie tonight in Old Montreal, and overall, it was a lovely experience. The vibe was cozy and charming, made even better with live band music playing throughout the evening—definitely a great spot for a date night or relaxed gathering. Here’s what we ordered: •Seafood Linguine: Light and refreshing sauce, though the portion of seafood was a bit modest. Tasty, but not mind-blowing. •Beef and Chips: The steak was cooked nicely, but the fries were quite average •Foie Gras: Nicely seared. One of the more impressive dishes of the night. •Crème Brûlée: Smooth texture with a thin caramelized top. It’s tasty! •Apple Pie with Ice Cream: Surprisingly good! The crust was crisp, the apple filling wasn’t overly sweet, and the ice cream made it a perfect combo. •House Bread: Shockingly delicious! Warm, crusty on the outside, and fluffy inside—great start to the meal. Overall: The food was solid, not outstanding—but that apple pie and the house bread really stood out. Plus, the live band gave the whole evening a really nice touch.

    Great ambiance, service and music when you first walk in. Our server was attentive and had a great sense of humor. The onion soup was the best we’ve had. For our entrees we selected was the lamb chops and the steak Fritos, grilled to perfection.
