   Had dinner at Modavie tonight in Old Montreal, and overall, it was a lovely experience. The vibe was cozy and charming, made even better with live band music playing throughout the evening—definitely a great spot for a date night or relaxed gathering. Here’s what we ordered: •Seafood Linguine: Light and refreshing sauce, though the portion of seafood was a bit modest. Tasty, but not mind-blowing. •Beef and Chips: The steak was cooked nicely, but the fries were quite average •Foie Gras: Nicely seared. One of the more impressive dishes of the night. •Crème Brûlée: Smooth texture with a thin caramelized top. It’s tasty! •Apple Pie with Ice Cream: Surprisingly good! The crust was crisp, the apple filling wasn’t overly sweet, and the ice cream made it a perfect combo. •House Bread: Shockingly delicious! Warm, crusty on the outside, and fluffy inside—great start to the meal. Overall: The food was solid, not outstanding—but that apple pie and the house bread really stood out. Plus, the live band gave the whole evening a really nice touch.

   Great ambiance, service and music when you first walk in. Our server was attentive and had a great sense of humor. The onion soup was the best we’ve had. For our entrees we selected was the lamb chops and the steak Fritos, grilled to perfection.

   Terrible service. Waiter was rude. He brought cocktail late and even missed one order. Instead of amending things he was arguing He even said “go ahead and cancel your entire order”. We walked away - worse ever place to be in Montreal!

   Beautiful ambience created by the live singer! Food was incredible although service was a bit slow. Great value for what you're receiving!

   We went for a business team building and our table was great, food was excellent and the service was amazing. Definitely recommend it. And the music was really nice too!

   If you don't mind paying for an excellent meal this is well worth it! The food is amazing, appetizers and mains. The drinks are a bit pricey for what I'm used too unless they're doubles, that's the only downside I would say. The servers and hosts also speak French and English, so very easy for a non-francophone to enjoy your meal. I would highly recommend!!
