Classic seafood spot on the wharf feel. Great friendly service.
Made a reservation and when I arrived there was not a table ready. We had to wait 15 minutes. Other then that it was awesome. Don’t remember our waiters name, but he was awesome. Great vibe, personality, totally a good experience. We were on the outside patio.
Our server Debbie was on it, attentive and sweet. The food was great and everyone was satisfied. First time being there since I moved to Santa Barbara, will be visiting again.
Good food. Good service. And I love the setting and building.
Excellent food and service. Went above and beyond for my moms birthday after just having noted it when booking the reservation. View and ambiance 5 stars!
Other than it’s location, it is nothing spectacular.
Had my moms bday here. Staff was amazing, food great, very nice setting
The menu is very limited, but the food we ordered was good. the view was incomparable, and we had a nice time. this is not the place for wine, awful wine selection, probably the beer and cocktail offerings were better.
Very good seafood. Mostly fried, but very tasteful. Outstanding views as restaurant is on the wharf over the water.
Lunch on the wharf over the ocean❣️
Delicious lunch, friendly wait staff and beautiful view! My father ordered the Maine lobster special (which I am always skeptical ordering on the west coast) - it was fresh and delicious.
They even surprised us with ice cream to celebrate my parents 68th anniversary.
Awesome service by Ricardo. Food was delicious, especially with the Clam Chowder & Seafood Linguini.
Service was excellent. Food was okay. Priced a bit too high for the quality.
It was good
Great spot on the wharf with outdoor seating. Service was excellent and quick. Fish of the day great!
We visited here while in vacation. The service was good but the food was mediocre. Great cocktails and nice view
Food was good, my meal came very late, service was a bit slow.
Food, service and view were amazing! Would highly recommend!
We were running late and the host graciously changed our arrival time. Ricardo our server was friendly attentive and agreeable to everyhing we asked for. I had fried fish tacos and hubby had half fried shrimp and fish. Dined outside in an unusually cold windy summer day.
Food was great, service was great, and the view was great; a wonderful way to sped a day off
Food was delicious! Grilled fish tacos were excellent and GF. Server was super nice and knowledgeable.
We asked for outdoor seating but that was not available. We were promptly seated at a window table which was very pleasant. great view of all the activity on a pleasant, though foggy late morning in June (there is a reason they call it June Gloom).
Service was spot on from beginning to end. Food was quite good but nothing over the top. No complaints and we will return.
Didn't like the food. Oysters were really big and not great.
The clam chowder is not as good. Not wnough potatoes or clams. Veey disappointing.
Standards are failing.
Had a table by the window looking toward the harbor where we could see all the boats coming and going. It was a beautiful sunny day, and our waitress was friendly and helpful. I had a delicious margarita and then perfectly cooked shrimp and chips. It was a delightful way to spend some time. It made my friend and I thankful to live in such a beautiful place.
I know this wasn’t the best choice, but we were doing the sunset cruise and this was right across the way. I got the grilled fish tacos and they were not good. I never send food back and I had to send this back. The server was great and took it off the bill but just a warning. It was verrry fishy tasting and not warm. My husbands fish and chips were pretty good.
Outdoor seating was wonderful. Waiter was extremely polite. Food was excellent
Always great food and service. Ricardo was outstanding.
We were first timers. The service was great. Really enjoyed our time there. Good view, good food, and good service! Would definitely go back.
Lunch for an early Mother’s Day celebration was great! Attentive server, great food and beautiful view. We’ll be back!
The location was great. The staff was incredible. Very polite, attentive and accommodating. The food was ok, but my biggest problem was the menu selections, or rather lack thereof.
My wife and daughter love seafood, so I was happy to take them to a nice seafood restaurant for lunch. They had lots to choose from on the lunch menu, but I didn’t.
I don’t eat any seafood so I was left to choose between a burger, a chicken sandwich or a steak. That’s it. None of those options sounded good, but I went with the burger. It wasn’t bad but I really didn’t appreciate being charged an additional $2 for a lousy piece of cheese on an already-expensive hamburger. That was a very low-class touch.
The side salads were nice and fresh and the portions were generous, so that was a positive.
We probably won’t be back any time soon and if we do come back, it will only be after they add some non-seafood menu items.
The server was very attentive to my food allergy. The food was great and we had a table looking out at the water. Had a lovely time.
The service was great our waiter was so nice. The view was amazing where we sat right next to the window so all you saw was the ocean. The experience was great. I ordered a latte which was delicious and the sirloin sadly that was just good not great. The steak had to many tendons I have never had a steak with so many. What I did eat around them was delicious. The mashed potatoes and veggies were very good as well. I would go back but would try something else.
Also my poor friend tried to order 2 items and they were out which is weird that they'd be out of lobster. I understand due to the pandemic this was the issue.
Very nice staff. Perfect views of the ocean. Food is delicious and fresh! One of our for sure places to go to when coming to Santa Barbara.
The ambiance and the service was outstanding. But the taste of the food was fair but not upto the mark. Would love to visit again because of the ambiance.
Moby Dick is a restaurant that I truly and wholeheartedly enjoyed. The food was tremendous, everything just appeals to the palate. I recommend the clam chowder and Santa Barbara crab. The service was incredibly friendly and considerate. Like the titular white whale, I'll be chasing this restaurant down till the end of time. 10/10
Great! I loved the environment. Very happy. Staff was great!
Great brunch on the water! Portions are perfectly sized. Service was fantastic. I had the Lobster Benedict. Wish they had put the lobster on the Benedict, but it was served on the tail shell to the side. My son had the French Toast and it was gone in less than a minute - probably too small of a portion for an 18-year old. Hubby had the pancakes and they were perfect. We will definitely visit again!
