Inspired by the wood-fired Robata grills of Japan, Mizu offers a refreshed take on live-fire cooking atop the Hyatt Centric in the heart of Charlotte's SouthPark neighborhood. Led by the award-winning Indigo Road Hospitality Group, the rooftop restaurant combines the traditions of ancient Japanese cooking with Southern influences and Asian flavors. The chef offers a seafood-focused menu composed of wood-fired, raw, and chilled offerings, sushi, and shareable plates. True to the word Mizu's translation to 'water' in Japanese, the space's design takes inspiration from natural elements, which are incorporated throughout the chic, minimalist restaurant, and outdoor terrace with sweeping city views.

Great food and service at Mizu last night. We had to make a last minute reservation due to our previous reservation being canceled at another restaurant and we’re glad it was canceled. We’ll be back

The food was excellent. The presentation was beautiful and appetizing. The service was impeccable in the dining room and bar. We choose the curated family style tour for $70 each. Many courses were selected by the chef each delicious.

This was our first time dining at Mizu. I was hoping to surprise my husband with a different, exciting experience for his 50th birthday, and I was definitely NOT disappointed! The service was excellent from the start with the bartenders and the hostess. We absolutely loved hanging out on the beautiful rooftop patio while waiting for our party and having a drink. The restaurant went above and beyond and created a special, 50th birthday edition menu. We were super impressed with our server, Ryan, who was so knowledgeable, helpful and attentive. Service from the entire staff was impeccable and the food, OH the food was absolutely delicious! We were so incredibly impressed and will definitely recommend to others.

We had a wonderful experience tonight at Mizu, We were celebrating my partners birthday and the staff was amazingly friendly from the moment we walked in. The energy was just right around us and our server Julia was great. There was a birthday card on the table when we sat down and the manager stopped by and offered a toast when we’re seated and it was a perfect touch on a perfect evening! Thank you all again
