Mitchell's Fish Market - Cleveland
Excellent dining night out
Everyone enjoyed their dinner. Only disappointment was the vegetable that came with our meals. It was broccoli that looked and tasted like it came out of a can. Nobody liked it. Our server was wonderful !!!
Excellent food and service. Wish the full menu was available, but I understand the limited menu is due to the pandemic.
It was amazing. They followed CDC guidelines and were very nice.
We were very impressed with the social distancing! All tables were set with napkin wrapped silverware, and those tables used for social distancing had a small tent sign that said "Reserved, for social distancing". This created a pleasant atmosphere. There were 4 other couples , and a family of 4 seated in the same vicinity.
Kudos on the social distancing! We felt very "cared for".
We had a wonderful experience! 5 stars for everything!
Fantastic patio and food.
Very good food, fair price and good service
Delicious food, great service!
My husband and I have enjoyed many different seafood dinners at Mitchell’s, but we both have our favorites. We always have great service In a relaxing atmosphere and a delicious meal at Mitchell’s!
Our lobster was soft, we spoke to the manager about and she did nothing, not sure we’ll be back!
Kind of a slightly more upscale Red Lobster. Staff looked stressed but still performed professionally.
Food was good. Still had to wait 45 minutes to be sat even though we made reservations.
We had a 6:30 reservation to celebrate our anniversary with our parents and 3 children. We arrived at 6:25 and were told it would be a few minutes. We were extremely disappointed that we had to wait an hour to be seated. Based on that experience alone, we probably will not return.
Birthday lunch with a friend.
The new server Megan did a great job. We hope to get her again.
Excellent food. Service was solid; not great considering there were only like 5 other customers in the entire restaurant.
Great choice for Lent with so many options to choose from.
For a restaurant specializing in seafood, I was disappointed to have the send the shrimp back as it was overcooked. When it came back, it was undercooked. It was also too salty.
I had to remind my waiter to bring my drink, and the water glass had food stuck to the side. Overall, disappointing for the money spent.
Excellent service and delicious food. We came for my wife's birthday and we odered the shark fin dessert. The wait staff was so kind to bring it with birthday candles. We had a wonderful time and will be back again.
Food is excellent, service was not what I would have expected. Our server was not attentive at all to our table. We had to continually ask for drink refills, dessert, and check.
We were given a table in a room at the back of the restaurant for our 8:30, Saturday reservation, which was beginning to empty our, and was well removed from the traffic and noise at the bar, which was beginning to build. Our Lobster Bisque tasted fine, if a little light on actual lobster. I ordered the Cedar Plank Salmon, which came perfectly cook, but while it tasted fresh, it had very little flavor. The grilled asparagus on the side was not fresh, being stringy, tough and, like the salmon, pretty bland. My wife's scallops similarly lacked flavor and had an unusual, dense texture. The Apple Hash on the side had too little apple to lift it above plain hash browns. Not a bad meal in any way, but not better than mediocre, and definitely well below expectations.
We made a reservation for 7:45 and we did not get seated until 8:25. That’s wayyyy too long of a wait for someone who has reservations. If you can’t honor reservations don’t take them. That’s why I did not rate our service very high. Our waitress did a fine job, but the fact that we had a wait to be seated so long put a damper on things.
Even though we were seated a half hour past our reservation time the night turned out pleasant. All four at our table enjoyed our meals and the service. I wish the fish (stuffed flounder) was a larger portion than the mash potatoes though.
We waited over an hour past our reservation time and the restaurant was in chaos. Food was good but not a very pleasant environment to enjoy time with friends.
The hostess was so accommodating and our waitress was awesome - we left a phone on the table and she ran way out into to parking lot to find us. It’s the simple acts of kindness that matter.
Good there is always great.
We went for a late lunch, just before Happy Hour. Great service, food was hot, and atmosphere was Excellent including the music . Top Notch.
Waiter was inattentive and forgot appetizers and side dishes Manager was also uninterested Poor value for the money
It was just ok. Made reservations, and they put us right in the path of the kitchen. I asked them to move us, and they were agreeable. The soups were good, had the clam chowder, and my wife had the lobster bisque. My wife ordered the Chilean Seabass, and I had the Mahi Mahi, again, both were ok. The Seabass was not seasoned very well, and the Mahi Mahi was dry. The cheddar grits were the best part of my dinner!! I might be a little rough on not recommending them, but for the cost of the dinner, it really was just ok.
This was our first time. Food was good but cold. Manager offered us a free dessert, which we declined as we dont eat dessert and she gave a generous $5.00 of the bill. Haha. We may try it again sometime
As usual we had Judy as our server and she did a wonderful job. Wife and I had the bacon wrapped shrimp for an appetizer and it was wonderful. Wife and I both had the twin lobster tails for dinner. Wife really enjoyed the meal but I thought the lobster was dried out. Everything else was wonderful.
The service was good but the lobster wasn't fully cooked. My husband was sick for 24 hours. Typcially it is a great place to eat. We think that since it was Valentine's day that the kitchen was moving too fast. :(
The food and service was excellent the portions was just small
Twenty people waiting when we got there with a reservation. Slow and poor service. Ordered drinks took a long time. Salmon was a very small piece. Again had to wait a long time for our dinner. Asked for a dessert menu which I never received.
Asked for a check and left.
At one time this was a very fine restaurant, sadly no longer.
Unless things change I would not go back.’
Don’t wast your time or your money.
For a better meal and service go somewhere else.
Easily the worst food I’ve been served in a long time. Overlook the service. It’s Valentine’s Day and busy.
We had a 7:45 reservation on Valentines Day. Pulled up to valet parking and nobody came out to park car after a few minutes, so I parked the car myself instead. I was the only car at valet. I spoke to two valet guys when I went inside and they said they saw me but thought I might be just dropping off at door. Not sure what they are thinking because I pulled up to valet sign and did not drop off. I had to wait 10 minutes to check in at hostess stand in line and another 15-20 minutes for table. We went to bar for cocktails while waiting for table. Hostess found us for table seating and took another 10 mins just to pay bar bill. Took too long and wife had to go to table without me while I waited to pay. We ordered more drinks, bread, salad and dinner. Everything arrived in time, but bread took about 15 minutes and was in the oven...? Table service was good and tasted acceptable for price.
It has been some time since our last visit to Mitchell’s. I would have preferred not to wait so long for bar tab, table and bread before meals. The salad and meal prices are lower than I recall and nice glasses of wine are still a little pricey. I would be happy to spend a little extra on entree to improve quality a bit for our taste. Some fine tuning is required at valet, hostess and bar service. Felt things are not well organized and could have been much better for the occasion. A little surprised and disappointed.
Nothing special. Service was bad and it was not busy
the service was terrible. the manager apologized, it was a holiday (Valentines Day) but he did apologize and ended up not charging us for our entrees. we didn't even ask him to do that. the food was exceptional, and aside from how way too long it took, we would go back and give the restaurant a second chance
We enjoyed our dining experience at Mitchell's on VALENTINE'S Day.
We were greated by a friendly receptionist and seated. Our reserved table was not the best, it was too close to the area where the register was located.
Our cocktails were good.
Our waitress was friendly and helpful. She was also very busy.
Our meals were very good but we both had mashed potatoes that were barely warm.
Great meal and accommodated special request for a booth.
