Think creative dishes like watermelon crudo and an arepa sampler with sauces like creamy guasacaca alongside colorful cocktails and wines from South America. Savor it all in an industrial-chic space surrounded by glass windows and with flower garlands draped over the bar. It’s all led to rave reviews, including by The Washington Post food critic Tom Sietsema.

    The food was excellent! I liked everything except for the beets. Sometimes it was hard to hear the explanations of the dishes because there were people at the bar that was right next to our table ordering and talking to the bartender at the same time.

    It was amazing! Wonderful. Delicious! Fun! A real treat. I wouldn’t say this is a good value because it’s not intended to be. We did the tasting menu and shared the pairing. We were delighted by each and every dish! We loved it so much.

    The experience at MITA has been nothing but stellar from the moment I contacted them. They have been very responsive when I indicated that I was very cautious about dining in a close environment (yes COVID is still around) and they offered options to use the more private area. The moment my friend and I came in, we felt well taken care of and every part of the menu was explained in detail with interesting background stories. Every dish was a delight for the eyes  and the taste buds.  The service was impeccable and I really recommend the place to celebrate special occasions.

    Mita brings an unforgettable dining experience. I had the 4-course tasting menu at the bar. Portions were generous, the staff was kind, and the price was more than fair for what I was served. Every dish was incredibly flavorful, unique, and came with a rich history. Their food is art!
