As always this is a very special place. The service and food quality is absolutely spectacular!
Head to toe fantastic
Service and staff impeccable.
This is the way a restaurant should be run.
We felt spoiled the minute we walked in the door.
The food was fresh and prepared beautifully, absolutely delicious.
A bit pricey but I had no problem with it because I felt so special, food was amazing and the whole vibe was what fine dining is all about .Raoul who I assume runs the restaurant was so caring and helpful.
I immediately came home and booked another reservation for a holiday dinner .
Total winner of a night out
Food and service was excellent !!
It was my brother-in-law's birthday. My mother decided to take him to Mistral - his favorite restaurant in the Valley. He enjoyed the wine, his John Dorey fish and the dessert. My mother also liked the experience very much.
I had the onion soup, and it was excellent.
Mistral never disappoints!
The food and service are excellent. The best French onion soup in LA! Made the traditional way. It’s full of sweet onion flavor and the cheese… melty, stretchy and delicious. Another favorite is the steak tartare. Again, the best in LA!
Excellent service. Cannot beat the service and ambiance. Food is marginal but makes for a great spot for special occasions.
My wife and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary at Mistral on what happened to be Thanksgiving Day. We were seated immediately (we had a reservation), and from there things just got better. The service was excellent and very prompt. The food was absolutely delicious (I highly recommend the chocolate souffle). And the staff were very friendly and personable. Can't wait to visit again.
Great food and service. We will be back soon
We didn’t realize that it would be that busy on a Sunday night which affected the experience. Very noisy birthday party I close proximity to our table. As usual the food was great and service was good. Took so long for our chocolate soufflé that we decided to have dessert at home. Hopefully next time it will be a better atmosphere.
I was a little disappointed in the food, although very good, I've had a little bit better from them.
Great food, great service and great friends.
Friend’s Birthday. Raspberry Napoleon did not meet expectations. Had no flavor even with the raspberries.
My Paparadelle and mushroom entree was soupy-like. Reheat the next day was a little better. Birthday friend’s mussels were up to expectation.
Best dish was Caesar salad & was the freshest that I ever tasted.
Thank you Henri and Raul, always a pleasure to dine at Mistral!
I’ve been here many times. The food is always great, as is the service. Quiet and lovely
Great food and service. One of our favorite places.
Waiter was not good as in other times that we have been there had to call for more iced tea abd for bread
The food was strangely under seasoned, which isn’t common at French restaurants. The duck lacked acid and was pretty bland. The soufflé was beautiful but lacked in flavor. The best dish was the angel hair pasta, tasted fresh and flavorful.
My favorite restaurant for many years. Henry and Raul know what they are about and always so welcoming. I have only had great meals here!
Excellent quality of food prepared perfectly great service and lovely setting🤙
Great food and amazing staff! The top restaurant in the valley fir food and style.
We went for our 21st wedding anniversary. They knew and brought out a chocolate soufflé compliments of the house. Food is absolutely remarkable. My wife had a salad and the dressing was to die for, I wish I knew their recipe. Treat yourself and you significant other for dinner. Break up the hum drum of everyday life and have a romantic evening.
We have made the reservation based on good reviews and unfortunately weren’t really impressed with their food and atmosphere although service was good.
Mistral has amazing food, highly recommend the John Dory, I don't usually like fish but this is delicious! The chocolate soufflé is always a hit!
I've been going to Mistral for almost 30 years! Each time I'm there, I'm reminded why it's my favorite restaurant in the world. Owner Henry, General Manager Raoul are always warm and welcoming. Their wait staff is outstanding, with many that have been with them for 10, 20 years or more. The fact that the food is amazing and you can't find a better french fry anywhere else aside, Mistral never fails to deliver a wonderful, highly satisfying experience.
Clearly, I'm not alone with these thoughts. Mistral remains incredibly popular with the "old regulars" like me and younger people alike. As it should!
We had lunch on the canopied back patio, adorned with a few large potted plants. It was occasionally noisy from construction going on next door. The trout was uninspired, accompanied by green beans (fresh and crisp) and a scoop of bland purred potatoes. The desserts, on the other hand, were excellent (chocolate souffle & creme brulee). Waiters were attentive, luncheon menu was limited, and prices were high.
Wonderful food, service, ambience. A little hard to hear but just happy to see people going out to eat again. Highly recommend1
First, if you miss the Chocolate Soufflé, you have missed the whole point in indulging in a dinning experience that is a true special treat. The food is absolutely superb and the wait staff is attentive yet not obnoxiously disturbing you. I had a business meal with a very important person from out of town and needed to discuss some pending transactions. The menu selections are fantastic and easily understood by a non French Speaking person. I selected the Caesar Salad and Beef Borgionion. My business partner selected the Onion Soup and Lamb chops. The Cesar Salad was a huge disappointment. The lettuce was wet and the dressing was completely unremarkable and very weak. My colleagues' onion soup was pure heaven for him. The main dishes were beyond what we could have hoped for. My beef was so tender and so perfectly sauced that I thought I was in paradise. My colleague's lamb was cooked to perfection and seasoned absolutely perfect. Both of us remarked as to how enjoyable the meal was. Once the main course was finished and the Chocolate Soufflé arrived.. we were both blown away with how wonderful it was. Do not miss the desert even if that's the only reason you go there.
My only critique is the prices are beyond what I expected. Oure meals without wine or cocktails and only drinking sparkling water came up to over $190.00 That's a bit much. If money is no object, please go here. If you are a normal human, go here on a very special occasion and get the Chocolate Soufflé. Parking was terrible. $9.00 cash only for Valet parking. If not for the prices and valet cost, this would have been a 6 star rating from me. Just the same... You will not be disappointed dining here. Just be prepared for the cost.
I have been going to Mistral for virtually all of its existence. I have enjoyed great cuisine here during that entire time. The quality of the food and service is and always has been excellent.
The prices are up there. Here, it’s a matter of “getting what you pay for”. There is a quality/price coalescence. The quality is unequaled. Ergo the prices.
Alas, Mistral for the most part has become a special occasion place for me these days. Even still, it’s always wonderful.
Our dinner was, as ever, outstanding.
We had reservations at 5:45 and I plan to sit inside but they brought us out back in a nice enclosed space and that was better because it was a warm evening and inside was a little too noisy for my taste. It was the last day of dine LA and I had a three course meal with the salmon as a first course, the beef borginon as a second course, and the chocolate soufflé as dessert. My wife got the lamb chops as the main course and a crabcake as the first course.
Every morsel of food was absolutely spectacular it was my first visit there. The waiter helped recommend some wines to pair with our food and they were absolutely splendid. All the wait staff managed to be attentive to us without being smothering;Every single person who we interacted with was pleasant professional friendly and courteous. I do plan to go back more frequently and I commend everybody associated with the restaurant.
Jay, Joseph, Juan, Melinda, Peter & Peter make the place great !
This is best restaurant in the valley!
This has been our favorite for years. Even after moving a distance away, we continue to come back as much as possible. The service is not seen anymore in most places. It is superb. The ambience is perfection. The menu has choices for everyone and the results are delicious.
Always a favorite. Back after a couple year COVID driven absence. Was like we’d been there yesterday. Still doing everything right!
This was a wonderful visit to Mistral. We had a very nice evening dinner with superb, delicious food. We would definitely return again.
great!!!! we loved it here so much. would highly recommend
If you want consistent fabulous food and service, Mistral is your place to go! Never, ever disappoints. What a gem!
We have been coming to Mistral since they opened over 30 years ago! Always great food and service. This place is head and shoulders above any restaurant in its class. By far the best in the valley! Henry and Raul have everything running like a finely tuned machine. The wait staff has changed over the past few years with the pandemic and we miss our old favorite servers but the new staff has done a great job!
Great as usual !
Great Service food amazing as usual
