After our initial drink order, it took almost 20-25 min for the server to come and get our order. It took about 30 minutes for our beers to come and they were slightly warm. It took almost another 30 min for the food to come, where one of the dishes were not cooked through and was tough. It was sent back and then it came back 20 min later and still was not cooked through. And the restaurant was not busy or full! Pretty unacceptable and they added a standard 20% on a party of 2!

The worst service I’ve had is a very long time. It literally took 45 mins to see the server to order drinks.

Upon arrival for our 7:00 PM reservation, we were greeted by an overly loud sound system which made us feel as though we were going to a night club. Some may consider this energetic but it was next to impossible to have a conversation. We were seated promptly but had to wait for about 10 minutes until our server arrived; it seems to me that they are short on staff as the place was only about 50% full. The server had difficulty with our drink order although it was very straightforward. It seemed as though she was having trouble with her handheld device. There is a footnote at the bottom of the menu in very small font that a 4% kitchen appreciation fee so that their employees can make a living wage. I didn't take notice on the check so I don't know if they applied this to our beverages as well. I don't want to see people underpaid but I think it is very underhanded for an establishment to post prices which do not include all their costs. IMHO this is BS and I resent it. Include all your costs in the quoted price. Food is average at best. Service was very poor. Drinks arrived at the same time as the appetizers although the drinks were ordered well before the apps. Entrees arrived within a minute or two of the apps. Our order was incomplete but our server was MIA. I flagged down the food runner and told him that we were missing an item. He found our server to rectify the issue. We didn't see her again util we were finished eating. We declined dessert and asked for the check. She produced her handheld device which showed a total price but no way to see an itemization. I asked her to see an itemization. She had to go somewhere to get a printout. It was then that I saw a 20% gratuity automatically added. I mentioned that to her and she said it was their practice to automatically include the tip because it was Cinco de Mayo. This was the first we were aware of the automatic tip (we were a party of 4). I think this should be more prominently advertised.

Vibrant fun spot with great indoor/outdoor seating and good food and drinks. Dip trio was nice, particularly liked the queso, it was smooth with nice cheese flavor. Chips for me were perfection. Very thin and warm absolutely great. The shishito peppers were also a hit with our group. Not sure if we got several of the 1/10 hot ones or if it was the spices they were dusted with but they carried great heat. I really like empanadas and these did not disappoint. Perfectly golden brown, crispy and flaky crust with nice filling. Highly recommend. Some of our group really enjoyed the coconut rice but I unfortunately did not. I have never had it before so I can’t say if this is what it typically tastes like. Great cocktails that did have some heat which was great. Will definitely return.

The food was very good. We had the birria, the pork taco and potatoes. The amount of food that you get is not enough for the cost of the food. (But you are in the warehouse district). We love a spicy margarita so we ordered the habanero. It was not spicy and not very tasty. I would skip and order something else. The music was terrible that they play in there but that is just a different taste in music.

The decor and atmosphere are great. It’s very artistic looking inside. I really enjoyed the food, although I thought portions were a little small for the price. The thing that got me was the service. I came in after a business meeting and was reviewing some documents at my table after I finished eating. The restaurant was almost completely empty, so I wasn’t taking up space from anyone who was waiting for a table. The waitress kept hurrying me to leave. She didn’t quite say it this way, but it came across as basically get out. The pushiness definitely soured my experience.
