   Food has too much salt, different type of fish- whiting, trout or flounder would be nice. I love supporting the home cooking of this business, but it does not support my blood pressure.

   This was my first time going here. Everytime I say I was going to go something came up. I first went to the one in Silver Spring but they were only serving brunch so I drove to the one in Gambrills. I made reservations and got there and waited for almost five minutes before anyone came to the hostess desk. The table she was going to sit me at wasn't available so I just went to the bar. The Bartender was attentive and provides great service. The food tasted good. I was a little concerned with the deviled eggs presentation but it was good. Will probably go back to give it another try.

   It seems that Miss Toya's have been popping up in several places. Clearly, the formula is working. I was excited to try the new location in Gambrills, which was still in soft launch mode when my friends and I showed up for lunch for our book club. The drinks were not only fun to look at, they were delicious. I had the Louisiana Tea. We all shared a sampler of appetizers which included some jerk chicken egg rolls, lemon pepper wings, and salmon bites. We quickly destroyed all of the appetizers wondering if we should order another round! I did not have the cornbread, but it looked like it could be a desert. My friend really enjoyed it. She also raved about the Sweet Tea, and she is from the South and confirmed it was pitch-perfect. Our group enjoyed the catfish, the fried chicken with mac and cheese and collard greens, as well as the fried chicken sandwich, and burger. My true test of collard greens is if I can take the first bites without the assistance of hot sauce and taste a balance of seasoning. Test Passed! The mac and cheese had just the right "pull" and also tasted homemade and with love. My 1/2 fried chicken was seasoned well with good crunch. We all left full and with food to take home and enjoy later. No room for desert, but we are certain those treats are also winners. It's a lovely atmosphere where the service is attentive and friendly. The general manager also came to greet us and ask us about our experience. We look forward to returning and enjoying their happy hour and trying their Sunday Brunch, which wasn't available on Saturday.

   The food was good, but overpriced. Service was okay. Not the level of the 20% gratuity that is automatically added to your check. Pay attention so you don’t add more tip. The bathroom needs to be cleaned. No paper towels and trash can overflowing. Lots of staff standing around talking, so there was time to clean it after I told them they were out of towels in the restroom. We tried it, but won’t be returning.

   The food is the star here. The fried chicken is definitely some of the best I’ve ever had. My wife had the catfish and that was also amazing. My son got the jambalaya pasta, which was a huge portion; very good and easily made 2 meals. Dessert was excellent as well. The place is very noisy, so be warned. At the end of the day, the food + cocktails are a little bit pricey (assume $50 per person for apps, cocktails, food, dessert) but I would definitely go back for the fried chicken, especially. Service is also really good.

   Excellent service and food was hot and delicious. Service was prompt and waiter was very attentive. Constantly checking to see if we needed anything else. Manager made rounds to see if we were satisfied. Our experience here was totally outstanding!! We will definitely be back!!

   Had a great experience. Our server was great. Food was good, a bit salty but glad everything was seasoned.

   I have visited the Silver Spring location, but the Waugh Chapel location had much better food, in my opinion. Also the venue is smaller at W.C. Our server, Gigi, was top-notch! She recommended the lamb chops, pork chops, and catfish entrees. Every single dish was excellent! I will be back again. The only reason for the 4 stars is that the bathrooms could’ve been better maintained.

    First time eating at this location in Gambrill. While there are some issues with rate of service, the servers and managers were all upbeat and friendly. Gigi was a great server, knowledgeable about the menu and offered great alternatives for my sister's dietary restrictions. Fried green tomatoes were great Loved the snapper They carry Uncle Nearest I'll be back
