Mirabella Italian Cuisine
The atmosphere is absolutely charming. You certainly can’t tell a book by its cover in this case. It’s in an older area and the bldg doesn’t look like much, but thankfully that isn’t the case when you get inside. It’s is decorated with a flair for the “old world”. The seating is comfortable and not too tight.
The menu is pretty lengthy and there are many choices. It is not inexpensive but I think the quality is worth it. There is enough to take home for the next day. We both had clams with pasta as well as an octopus appetizer. It was delicious!! This is our second time and the first for our companions. They were happy with the choices.
Great food, service and homey atmosphere at a fair price. Large portions--always take leftovers home.
Unfortunately we had to wait over an hour after our reservation time along with at least 25 other people. They must have severely overbooked for NYE. Once we were finally seated both food and service was 5/5 however we were very unhappy with the long wait to get in.
Long time top Chicago restaurant staff ensured great food and service. Very good egg plant parmesan and pasta sides. Excellent veal parmesan. Amazing bone in rib eye steak. Soup and salads just fair. Very good lemon cake. Great value. Previous germanic wall murals could use up dating. Park in shopping center across the street. If you want to experience old time at the table flaming dessert, this is where they still know how.
Great steaks and pasta. Reasonably priced wine list. Service was solid and they held our reservation for six when we were late.
Christmas Eve ,a perfect time again, got there early ....6ish Food was wonderful as usual . Service got a little spotty towards end of meal but all in all great time had by all. Eddie the Maittre D was great as always
Our Italian family dined at Mirabella on Christmas Eve, we highly recommend. The service and food was fantastic. My brother and his wife, who were visiting from out of state for the holidays, frequently travel to Italy, you can’t fool them. And believe me when I say, my brother isn’t easily impressed, he was impressed. I’ve never been to Italy myself, but I’m one who normally doesn’t even order coffee at restaurants and I’m extremely picky about food quality, I won’t even finish if I detect frozen or low quality food on my plate, but I must admit, their cappuccino is better than mine (and mine is the best), and the shrimp ravioli special was fantastic, nothing frozen or low quality here. In fact, for the first time in my life, I actually left food on my plate so I could savor it again at home! Can you tell we love this place? We’ll definitely be back, and my brother says we need to eat at Mirabella’s every Christmas from now on.
Very friendly and tentative staff!! Food was great!
We discovered this little gem when we were running errands and looking for a dinner spot. Quaint, family run, neighborhood Italian restaurant that is not to be missed. Order the meatballs. That is how you know it's going to be a great meal. Everything is made from scratch. Good steaks, which are broiled, veal dishes, and pasta. Bananas foster was a real treat. Wine selection was a surprise! Service was very attentive. We will be back!
Mirabella was so accommodating. The service was simply extraordinary. The food was good but we expected a little more authenticity. I'd definitely go back because everyone was so kind & the atmosphere was perfect.
Old school Italian at its best. The waiter was incredibly attentive without being intrusive. Entrees were great, including the Greek style whitefish, salmon pesto, and pasta. Would definitely return.
Everything and everyone were exceptional!! Definitely planning a trip back in 2 weeks for another birthday!!
We loved the steaks and the minestrone soup. The device was excellent.
All good! Everything was great!
Fun and yummy.
Good service but a little too rushed. Server was very nice but so hyped up. Maitre d' from Sabatino's. Very good food but not 5 star. Great 1/2 way spot for us suburbanites to meet our city friends/family. Reasonably priced.
This is a great neighborhood choice. Downtown quality at local prices, very conveniently located.
real sweet atmosphere and ambiance, good intentional service where we felt seen through the night, and the food was truly incredible - ESP. one dish that we ordered with Gluten Free Pasta... best GF Italian I have ever had. would definitely recommend. Though, prices were fairly high for me.
Great service and good food. We enjoyed every course and will be back soon.
Nice place. First time for us. We'll go back.
Parking is across the street.
We love this place to meet suburban friends
Large menu yummy food excellent service but this time
We had to sit outside after we ate it was just too noisy to talk
You certainly will get an excellent meal but won't have to empty your pockets! The service and ambiance were wonderful as well.
Experienced great hospitality and service. The food choices were extensive and outstanding in quality. We felt welcomed and certainly will come back again.
Impeccable service as usual!
First the positive: the food and service are quite good, no complaints there. The noise level, however, is so high that conversation requires shouting. Also, since there is no sign in front it is easy to miss the first time you come. One more thing - Addison is a busy street and there is no place to stop in front if someone needs to be dropped off. Parking is a problem too. You can use the Home Depot lot across the street but not sure it’s legal.
We ate outside so ambiance was not a factor. Food was excellent and the services was also. The price is very reasonable for the quality.
We like mirabella as a meeting place for our city friends. I had a dining reward , which I forgot to mention to the server, so didn’t receive it. Is there any way i can get those points back?
Great steaks and minestrone soup.
Always the best!!!! Our favorite place to go always 😊
Went for dinner with my parents while they were in town. Great service and food was tasty and filling. This place is pretty quiet with great service, so a perfect option for a family dinner. Bananas foster dessert was fun (made table-side with lots of flaming booze) and delicious!
This is an excellent restaurant with absolutely delicious steak and seafood. I have been here a number of times and have never been disappointed. Casual, friendly, atmosphere. Set with white clothed tables and low lighting. You can have a conversation without raising your voice. Superb waitstaff. Off street parking directly across the street. Be sure to try the grilled calamari and shrimp appetizer. Then follow it up with grilled salmon, or the steak topped with crab meat.
It was my birthday and after dinner they presented me with a piece of cake and sang to me.
3 of us enjoyed a very hearty Italian meal in a lovely old world setting. White table clothes and napkins and a tuxedo wearing host added to the ambiance. Two of us had different chicken dishes and one had a pasta with shrimp dish. All dishes were plentiful and delicious . We had minestrone soup that was like homemade and enjoyed leftovers the next day. A lot of value for yummy food.
Food and service were terrific. The place could use a little updating
Good dinner. Nothing special. Can’t come in bad weather due to the parking
An old time neighbor favorite We had a great meal and service. We sat outside on the patio for a lovely evening. The menu is very traditional and tasty.
Need to alert past customers about new parking situation.
Great, friendly staff from maitre’d to waitress. Food was very good.
Great food. Good portions. Friendly service. We will come back soon.
Overall great. Ed always welcoming. Service excellent.
