Incredible! Saturday nights are THE BEST!
Wow! We've had several friends try the FloMo location and rave about the food so we decided to give it a go - could not have been happier! it was a Saturday night and it was loud, but lively. The food was fantastic - there was one small hiccup but nothing too extreme - we will be going back very soon.
Exceptional dinner and service, can’t wait to return!
Great food, atmosphere and service! Prices are not bad either!
Just after getting back from Italy it was very comparable. Loved it
Loved the live music and great food!
Loved our experience. We will be returning very soon!
We loved this restaurant which was recommended by our friend Scott who is a regular there. The owner and chef Francisco were personable, fun and we’re going the extra mile to make sure we as newcomers felt like family! We tried many of the chef’s specials of the evening and they were outstanding. We will return and take more friends with us.
The BEST Italian food in the metroplex
Guitar player too loud. Could not carry a conversation. He was very good only the volume was an issue. Food is excellent. My favorite Italian restaurant.
Easter Sunday was our first time there with friends and food was great! Looking forward to going back and trying out some other items on menu. Service was spot on and server went out of his way to write down the name of the wine I had, a blend and it was really good! The ONLY thing I didn't like was the noise level. Table cloths would help so much!
The three cheese gnocchi is out of this world, along with the pizza, lobster ravioli, and linguine! We went there after church on Easter Sunday. At first we thought we thought it was not going to be pleasant because they were short on staff, but quite the contrary. The manager acted quickly and initiated "Defcon 5". Our dishes came out promptly and our waiter kept his composure. Kudos to the staff!
This was our first time to this restaurant. We had a 12:30 reservation. We were seated immediately however it took over 30 minutes to have anyone come to our table and take a drink order. The Manager said he only had one waiter show up. Luckily the food was good. It was expensive for lunch. $130.00 for 4. Not sure if we will be back.
Excellent food with a great atmosphere!
Exceptional dining and service. Franco (chef) and Michael (server) are Michelin Star worthy. Wow!
Very good meal, and service - sat out on the patio which was wonderful but would have enjoyed a little bit of the live entertainment with a speaker or two out there. Otherwise a very good find.
This restaurant is a great add to the neighborhood. Excellent, unique menu and great service. Live music on Saturday night when we were there. Good for any occasion. Patio seating is nice and the kids can play in nearby area while you dine.
Service excellent as always. I wish they had a better or rather bigger selection of desserts. As a Moscow mule fan, I was disappointed in their Cellomule this last time: it was weak and the balance between the ginger beer and lime was off. It seems as if you have to luck out with a certain bartender — if you get the wrong one... otherwise the wait staff is extremely friendly, hospitable and prompt and the food is fantastic.
Excellent Italian food! We had a pizza, salads and pasta. One of the pasta dishes had little flavor, but the other two were great. Nice place, but the round table for four that we were seated at should've been for two people as we were pretty cramped. Service was excellent!
Food was better previously. Whole place has become more commercialized, food pre-prepared, assembly line feeling, with a rushed atmosphere to turn tables quickly. Quality of food has gone down, not quite as delicious as it once was. Chairs are not comfortable, either. Rush rush rush. Won’t go back again.
Saw it on Open Table and decided to give it a try. I usually judge Italian restaurants by their lasagna. It was excellent. Will definitely go again...
The food was excellent, very flavorful and good portion sizes (ie, not huge amounts of bad cheap food). We sat outside, thankfully because it was extremely loud.
This restaurant is vibrant, the food is beyond excellent and on Saturdays the live music is captivating. A magnificent Italian experience.
Great food and service!
My family had a wonderful experience eating at Mio Nonno. We relaxed, enjoyed the wine (and a martini), enjoyed the music, and the food. The appetizer with the meats and cheese was a wonderful way to start the evening. Even though they had a wait, we did not feel rushed; this is a wonderful thing when dining! Our reservation was granted immediately with no problem. We will be back and I highly recommend this restaurant.
The service was excellent. I had the eggplant Parmesan - and it was fantastic. It’s pretty noisy inside the restaurant ... but as an alternative sit outside on the patio - it’s quieter out there.
We have been there several times. The food is outstanding, but it can be very noisy depending on where you sit.
This was my second visit to this restaurant, and my first visit was when they had been open for about a month. They definitely have perfected the food and service since they have opened. I highly recommend the Alla Crema pasta dish. Service was great, and I like that they have a fun modern atmosphere without feeling too stuffy. Show up ten minutes prior to your reservation.
This restaurant is excellent. The food was fresh, tasty, and served hot to your table. The service was very good with lots of recommendations since we were first-timers there. I did have to ask for a beverage refill, however, but it was a busy evening. Staff was friendly.
the wine list is somewhat limited, however this will not stop me from returning, may make this our 2x month go to place.
Everything was good and my wife and i enjoyed ourselves. There was only one issue that should be addressed. We were not finished with our appetizer of polenta when the server brought our entrees. I told him that we weren't finished yet. He apologized and took them away and when he brought them back at the proper time they were still hot. The timing just needs to be improved a bit. We liked the overall experience and will be back one day!
Pasta Primavera was good. Veal Picatta spinach was very salty. Food came out very fast (too fast). Wine list could use improving as far as selection. Overall, a good experience for our first time there (just not quite as good as I expected). Probably would return.
Mio Nonno was quite the busy place on Saturday at 8pm. The service and food was really good. We especially liked the heated patio which enabled us to have a conversation with our friends.
The menu was big enough but not too big. My lasagna was delicious and the portion size was adequate. My wife enjoyed the Al Amode pasta dish and took half of it home. The wine-by-the-glass list was average.
The restaurant noise level was moderate at 6:15 PM on a Friday when we arrived, but increased considerably by the time we finished. We sat outside on the 'patio' away from the live guitar music. The little bistro table was way too small and the waiters / bus staff struggled to place the items. I recommend ditching these tiny tables - or only sitting drink's-only parties there.
I love the restaurant. If i could recommend one thing to the owner, it would be to get new chairs for inside. The wooden chairs are very uncomfortable....and if you have a big butt like me, it is terrible to attempt to get comfortable in those chairs.
Everything was GREAT!!! Franco made it a point to come over to wish my daughter a Happy Birthday in the mad craziness of his dinner rush!
Outstanding service, great food, terrific music. We loved the atmosphere. Next time we are going to sit outside in the enclosed patio. We are already talking about our next trip there with friends!
Food was delish.
Love the food. Authentic Italian. Not the usual American Italian. Better than the usual. Decor is good. Only negative is it is extremely loud at dinner time when full. Hard to talk with friends.
