Friends getting together
Excellent food and great service. Reminded me of a classier Brio. Food was high end but reasonably priced. I loved that the patio faced a the open air concert area.
Excellent food and our server, Mercedes, was very friendly and attentive. The food here is always reliable and some of the better Italian in the Dallas area - and it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg!
Exceeded expectations. Service attentive without being invasive-waiter noticed if low on drinks and refilled. Good fresh bread, delicious appetizer split among 4 of us, and great entrees. Food service timed well-not so fast that you felt rushed, but not so slow that you began wondering if they forgot about you. enjoyed experience, will recommend to others and will return.
The food was quite good. The comfort level was not. The dining room is so loud that we could barely carry on a conversation. The tables are so close together that both servers and guests have to squeeze behind guests who are seated.
Great food and service in a pleasant atmosphere. We have enjoyed each of our four visits and will go back.
Nice restaurant. Some of the tables are too close together. I waited for a separate table on the side. We did not want to dine family style. The food was very good but it was very hot in there because of the open kitchen and the amount of people. We could feel the air conditioning but it barely helped.
Love the No-No’s! Excellent food and ambience. Highly recommend.
Outstanding service and the food was excellent....not a thing was left on our plates. Great value! Can't wait to come again and try other dishes.
Terrible! They take reservations but don’t know how to manage them. I and several others had reservations only to be told there would be a bit of a wait. A 30 min wait. Manager too much of a coward to talk to me, after 20 minutes and me harassing them, manager allowed hostess to seat us, never apologized, offered to cover drinks.
Italian food the way it should be. The menu is simple, but all the things I've tried so far (I've been to this place a few times already) were delicious. There is live music on the weekends, so it can get a bit noisy. Don't miss the tiramisu, it's just perfect!
We’ve dined here multiple times and the food and service have always been tremendous.
Love this place! Food and service as usually great. We came late Saturday night and our waitress must have been having an “off” night. Even though, I still highly recommend.
Food is creative and very good. Service was fairly good. Ambiance was a bit loud in there and it was hot. There are ceiling fans but a/c seemed to be off.
Will definitely go again for the food.
We made reservation and over hour past requested time. Pizza ordered and burned. Have been before and very good. This time fair. Thanks.
First time I had chicken piccata paired with polenta. Well it is not a great combination. Other dishes are good. Nice ambiance.
I had the eggplant and YUM! Nice evening so we sat outside. Inside is noisy so does not lend itself to visiting. Outside was perfect however! Last time we were in the server recommended a red blend wine, Conundrum, and we went with that again and it is my new favorite!
The weather was perfect for outdoor dining and the live music was great.
Just okay. Not a place I would return for the food but maybe for the atmosphere.
It was nice to have a reservation on Mother's Day, and we were offered the option of being seated inside or on the patio. We chose the patio, which was somewhat quieter than inside, and it was a beautiful day. The service was very nice, the food was great. The only negative was that they ran out of bread. My lasagna would have been even better with some Italian bread! Halfway through the meal, the waitress brought us a basket of burnt flatbread. I mean, really burnt. But besides that, it was a very nice meal.
We went here for the first time on Mother's Day, and we definitely will return. Everyone in our group (there were 7 of us) ordered something different, and each dish was met with rave reviews.
Good experience. The food was good as usual and they seated us on time.
Mio Nonno never disappoints. The food is always excellent.
They were not equipped to handle the Mother’s Day crowd. Over an hour wait for an appetizer, close to two hours total experience. Food was phenomenal however. Waiter could have gotten a better score by keeping my tea filled during the excessive wait times.
Fantastic experience, will be back.
Mi Nonno came highly recommended so we were excited to get a reservation for Mother's Day. The restaurant was full but there were not too many people waiting to get in when we showed up. We requested a table outside on the patio as it was pretty loud inside and that was definitely worth the extra few minutes wait. Unfortunately the kitchen could not keep up and our server let us know there would be an extreme delay before getting our food. Overall the lunch took 2 hours and we had paid the check and requested our to-go boxes even before the food arrived. Our meals were tasty and the menu has some great options, but I would never return here on such a busy occasion again. Our server did the best she could but it seemed worthy of a walk around and apology from management given the severity of the situation across the entire restaurant.
It was Mother’s Day, so understandably busy. What was not understandable was how unprepared the kitchen was. Our reservation was for 1:30pm, and were seated right away. Unfortunately our meals were not served until after 3pm, and at that, only 3 of 4 arrived, to which the 4th arrived about ten minutes later. The wait staff was apologetic and noticeably upset about the kitchen’s lack of preparedness.
Our son had to return to work at 4pm, so once served, we were rushed to eat and to request the check. Disappointing Mother’s Day experience.
Hidden Gem in North Texas, great service, superb Italian Cuisine!
Third time. Food and drinks are solid. Expensive menu but quality of food evident. Intimate seating. Placing a table next to live music at a place like this is a bad idea. Music was nice idea but not cool the way they executed placement. This is not a live music venue. Don't let them sit you where they sat us. Ruined what would have been a nice meal since the musician is basically sitting at your table. Couldn't talk to each other. Next time will not allow. Something for restaurant to consider. That was the memorable part of our meal which was disappointing considering the cost.
Great food, service end ambiance.
I usually dine here for dinner with friends but decided to bring my mother for lunch to celebrate Mother’s Day. We had the beet salad which was light in flavor but still good. She had the shrimp linguine which she loved and I had pasta Russia which is a favorite because of the light sauce but rich in flavor and spice. As always great food and my mother walked away with single red rose which they gave to all the Mother’s. Very sweet gesture and very much appreciated!
Service was okay. Could have more bread variety in the bread basket. Server could ask if we want pepper or fresh grated Parmesan cheese on entry when served. Food is pricey. Entrees could include a salad for the price.
Gnocchi is fantastic. It’s the perfect amount of softness and cheese. The pasta choice is overwhelming to choose from, can’t wait to go back and try another! Next to the live music in the Lakeside Park so be prepared for a wait and sometimes slow service.
Had 8:30 reservations and were seated immediately upon arrival. They were very busy and only one hostess who was doing an excellent job managing the crowd. Our server was friendly and attentive. Food was presented nicely and tasted excellent. Portions were generous but not too large. Arancini, beef carpaccio and the eggplant pasta dish were the favorites of the night. We will return.
Our first visit to Mio Nonno was delightful. Definitely glad we made a reservation! Food was great and the service was good as well. The place is a little loud, but hopefully next time we won't be so close to the front.
I would definitely recommend the Bruscetta!! Amazing!
Excellent food! Have eaten there twice and thoroughly enjoyed it both times. Will be back!
Beautiful atmosphere and GREAT food. Loved it and will go back.
The food is excellent and the casual patio dining was a perfect lunch choice
Incredible! Saturday nights are THE BEST!
