   The food was absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked, the mojito both alcoholic and virgin were equally excellent. Great experience and will be going again

   Went here for a special meal, being our anniversary, and booked on line. Booking asked if it was a special event and so I wrote it down on the form. I confirmed the booking by telephone and was asked again if it was a special event and so told the lady as well. Wasn’t expecting anything extra but if it is going to be asked I would think someone would just say Happy Anniversary otherwise why ask in the first place? We Had the special 4 steaks sharing meal, which is what had made us book in the first place. Steaks were very nice, asked for rare but came more medium rare but were really very nice nevertheless. What was disappointing was that it was a meal for 2 (£28.50 each) but came with a single portion of salad and a single portion of chips to share, definitely not enough for 2 people (the portion of fries would have been quite small for one person). Given how Great the meat was, it was a shame to go home talking about the single portion of fries between 2 people - it just seemed a bit silly from the restaurant point of view, given the quality of the steaks, to then stint on the sides, which would make such a minimal difference from their side. It was a meal for 2 people so give 2 portions of fries! As we were still hungry we got a desert to share and had churros and ice cream. Tasty but a little small, only 3 small churros and no ice cream came along, until we pointed out that it was supposed to come with some ice cream and then some ice cream appeared soon after. Overall, great steaks, we would go again but probably better value to choose a single meal each rather than share a platter and have a single portion of fries between 2. This is actually a shame as the 4 steak meal is a good option for the meat. Maybe get extra side orders with the platter but this shouldn’t really have to be be necessary given the meal that we ordered.

   You Would expect a steakhouse to turn out great steaks - this was not the case, both mine and my partner’s steak were cooked incorrectly having said that I pointed that out to the waitress and she was very happy to replace them but they came back incorrect again (I didn’t send them back) and 2 out of the 3 side dishes were cold, I sent them back but they came back lukewarm! Staff were nice food was a disaster!

   Very expensive for what you actually get. Waiter immediately tried to upsell us to a more expensive wine after we asked for the house red (this was even before we’d ordered food so he couldn’t even use pairing as an excuse). My steak was medium rare as asked for, my partner ordered a medium steak and received a well done steak with literally no redness.

   Yum! Very tasty food! Great steaks, incredible burgers and nice chips too! Generally all round very good and would go again. No the cheapest but not overpriced. Sound (acoustics - tiled walls) made it a bit loud (depending on the neighbouring company!) and I'd suggest some of those soft things on the feet of the chairs too! :) But otherwise, nice decor, handy location and I would definitely recommend it

   Been to Mingo's several times including when it was previously Buenos Aires. Always excellent food - great starters and fabulous steaks at reasonable prices. Good wine list. Service can be a bit hit and miss but the previous two times I have been there, it was very good.

   Really good food excellent steaks - service was a little slow but it was Friday evening and it was busy - overal really good

    Bit disappointed. Prawn starter looked weird and pretty tasteless. Steak order wasn't right for 2 of the 4 Service was on the slow side but waitress was nice. Was expensive for Purley Probably wouldn't revisit in hurry!
