Our famous Reuben is half off on Tuesday’s
Can't decide which? Try both! Corned beef and pastrami piled high on grilled rye bread, served with melted Swiss cheese, sauerkraut and Russian dressing
Great food and nice atmosphere. A little hectic and loud but still had a great meal.
Our server was a bit rude that was disappointing since we were celebrating my daughter’s birthday.
Love the choices of food available. Go to place for the hot pastrami sandwich. Great ambience. Bakery has variety delicious treats. Overall great experience.
Such an enjoyable meal. Sorry I don’t live in the area. I would eat here all the time
As always, the food was good and with large portions. The thing that really keeps me coming back is the people. The hostess “Shannon” was the best I have ever seen. Very happy and wants you to be happy also.
Overall Milton's is an outstanding restaurant! Parking can be a challenge, but easy freeway access. The service, menu and bakery are just the best! If I'm working in North San Diego, I'm finding a way to eat at Milton's. Breakfast, lunch or dinner, Milton's is one of the best, if not the best restaurant in the area!
Such a great lunch. We loved it
Overpriced for what you get and there’s nothing special about the sandwich at this deli. The fries weren’t that good-mushy. Got some items from the bakery and while they were good, they were way overpriced too. The service was excellent but I don’t feel the need to go here again.
Just ok. Too loud. Overpriced.
Good food, Gina was an excellent server
From the friendly hostess , the great waitress and great food. It was a very pleasant experience to dine at Milton’s.
The split pea soup is recommended as well as the brisket of beef platter
Good food. Deli atmosphere
We love Milton's! Great variety, and consistently good food.
Couldn’t either of the deserts the brownie lemon square both like they just came out of the freezer the chicken pot pie was not good my friend enjoyed the ribs pickles were good service weak didn’t seem like there was any management around
Christmas Day lunch! Busy, busy , but the hostess kept everything running smoothly. We were a group of 8 and our table was ready within minutes of arriving. Our server was outstanding. She was attentive, our orders were taken in a timely manner and the food came out in a reasonable time. We ate leisurely and enjoyed each other’s company, never felt rushed. Milton’s was packed, so noise level was high. We enjoyed a really nice lunch and as we have been there before, we’ll be sure to return.
Given it was a holiday was Ok
I have gone to Milton's many, many times since it opened. I was disappointed in our experience several days ago. My husband ordered ribs and they were very tough and difficult to eat. We ordered several pastries, both at our table and in the entry, to take home. The Napoleon that my friend ordered must have been made several days ago. The vanilla cream was so jelled, it could have bounced and the pastry itself was completely soggy. To charge full price for pastry that is on its way out is not good business. Most of the pastry that we brought home seemed certainly not to be fresh that day and as a result, most of it was wasted at our home, making it an expensive miss for us. When that is the case and you're already charging a lot for it....it doesn't make for a desirable experience.
Food was not hot and we were the first guests.
Great food !!
I always enjoy going to Milton's, but this time I was very disappointed. We were there for Breakfast. I had to send my meal back it was cold. , second part was on egg was cold and the other was very warm. My husband had to send back his toast as it was cold.
Usually we enjoy our mail, but this time it was disappointing.
great food, slightly overpriced, and service was slightly less that I would expect especially for the early dining with uncrowded occupancy.
The service was great, staff was so warm and welcoming. We had a lovely Mother’s Day lunch - the food was delicious. We will go back to Milton’s.
After Winemakers Contest event.
Good breakfast just got old coffee which was too strong and burnt. Blintzes were yummy
As we walked up to the front door we had to witness the Manager/Owner standing right outside yelling at the hostess about the elevator. She immediatly came in and sat us but she was visabilly shaken and upset. The servers were wonderful but it is extremly loud inside as there are high ceelings with only hard surfaces and no materials utilized to create sound breaks. There was no music in the restraunt, which may have been good because of all the noise. The restrooms were cleanish.
As for the food. The Matza ball soup I had was delisious and my daughter said so was the Tomato soup. My husband thought the ribs were good and really liked the coleslaw. I got the corned beef sandwich which I found a little bland and I did not like the potato pancake at all. My daughter took here sandwich home to eat as she filled up with the soup so I'm not sure how she liked it. My son in law had the burger and said it was great.
We probably will be back but I think I would order differently next time.
This is one of our favorite places to come when we are in town.
Easy, not stressful and the server was very comfortable and accommodating!
The service was terrible. We waited for 25 minutes for a waiter to come. Finally went back to kitchen and got one. Waiter did not know the difference between a hotdog and a bratwurst. Food was excellent . Would not go back with a group again.
The Corned Beef Reuben wraps were outstanding and the Pastrami is the best in San Diego. Always very lean. With a hugh selections of desserts afterwards, Milton's is a great choice.
Food and service were great! Tables we’re just a little close to each other.
It isn’t exactly fine dining but, for SoCal— a pretty decent deli. Good selection of menu choices.
Our waiter was tremendous- quick, efficient and friendly.
We will be back!
The food is good, but seems kind of overpriced
Good enough for what it is. Nice big deli sandwiches, lots of choices, all day breakfast. Doesn’t compare to delis in NYC but just about the closest we have here (other than DZ Akins).
Neighbor find for sure. Chicken soup every time I am sick. Great for the family and groups.
Just moved to San Diego area. So glad to have finally found such a good Deli
Really enjoyed our dinner. Came here with my family and 2 friends. Food was excellent and plentiful. Would actually prefer smaller and less expensive portions but everyone went home full
Service was ok. Took a really long time to get water glasses refilled. But overall would go back.
Breakfast all day. The best corn beef hash and poached eggs around.
Quick meal before travel. Nice
Took 45 minutes for the food to come out after ordering. Server wasn’t apologetic but said “Are you bored yet?” It was Christmas Day so I’ll give them a pass, as I’m glad they were even open.
Will come back and try lunch and dinner soon. The deli options were good and deli staff was friendly.
Host/Mgr or Owner was friendly.
Definitely would prefer a booth for next time.
Mentioned in the “notes” space that it was our daughyer’s Birthday. Also mentioned it to the hostess and our server. Received no birthday anything. I said something to a different hostess on our way out and she gave us s cookie. Just what is the point of mentioning this in writing or verbally. Took forever to get a tiny loaf of cinnamon raisin bread for 5-no bread plates. Asked for them twice & finally got them wet with dried on food 3 and long hsirs on 2!!
Food was mediocre-not hot. Suggest only ordering s bagel to go🤪
