Mille Lire promises a constantly-changing menu of regional Italian cuisine. And is a nod to “la dolce vita,” or “the sweet life,” of Chef Matarese's childhood in Italy. Diners can look forward to antipasti, along with pizzas fired in an Italian oven and pastas made fresh daily with an imported pasta-maker. Entrees include chianti-braised short ribs, diver scallops with cauliflower puree, octopus, and much more.
A full menu of beer, wine, and hand-crafted cocktails will keep diners from going thirsty. A curated wine list features the best expressions of Italian regions that perfectly pair with Chef Giuliano's creations.

The service and food were both excellent.
The experience was terrific. Attention to detail, from the artwork to the garnishments on the food, was superb.
For a random day lunch, this place is heavily slept on. The lunch offering is brilliant considering the 2 course offering. Delicious apps, fantastic pasta, great cocktails. The ambiance is absolutely beautiful, perfect for dates, well lit, etc. Service was quick, and enjoyable, regularly checked on, water refilled, plates cleared. If you're coming, park in the garage and validate with your phone number before leaving the restaurant. I honestly love this place and rave to it to all my friends and family. Next time I'm coming for dinner.
We had a Valentine's day dinner and there were some special dishes. Foods are great, but taste almost the same. I am not happy with the cleanliness because tablewares are not clean and there are a lot of white furs on the black napkins. Overall experience was not so well.
My request through Open Table for a special desert wasn’t taken care of.
My wife and I visited Mille Lire this week for the first time and found it to be a pleasant surprise. We had an excellent waitress who gave us some great tips on ordering her favorite things from the menu. We had the crispy Brussel sprouts for an appetizer which were incredibly delicious. Then we each had the squash and ricotta filled pasta in a butter and sage sauce which was also lighter than expected but so delicious. Good wine selection. Wonderful Italian restaurant in the Oak Lawn area. We will return soon!
Happy hour prices are not available in the regular dining room, therefore we moved to the bar area. A woman brought a yorkshire terrier into the area and sat it in the booth. The dog didn’t have anything on it indicating it was a service animal. The manager was aware of the animal and allowed it to stay seated in the booth. At one point, the dog came over to our table and jumped on us and then proceeded to run through the dining room. It scared other patrons and the manager had to pick the dog up before the owner even realized the dog had ran off. This seemed unacceptable in a restaurant much less one that seems as nice as this one. Overall, it was a pretty disappointing dining experience.
Service was slow and inattentive. Food was decent, but expected outstanding based on the reviews and reputation.
Waiter was forceful with his opinions and place wasn’t very crowded. Wine the waiter recommended gave me heartburn so couldn’t eat much. Bread and spread was great! As were the cauliflower.
The ambiance was contemporary and romantic with friendly attentive service. The Music was a little loud at first for comfortable conversation. But they turned it down thankfully. The pasta and appetizers were outstanding. We will be back. Great place for a romantic date.
Great Food, Great Service makes this restaurant our favorite in Dallas.
Took my mom here for her birthday. The meal was excellent and the service phenomenal!! We loved every minute of our dinner. Thank you!
A bit of understated elegance describes the decor. I went for lunch around 11:30a (right when it opened to avoid the crowd). This afforded me the opportunity to take in the food, the service and the aesthetics. All winners in my book. I even recommended the place as soon as I got back to the office. I will be back.
Easily one of the best Italian places in Dallas. As an Italian guy originally from the northeast, believe me. It’s legit & our city needed it.
Fantastic food, energetic atmosphere and friendly wait staff. Definitely recommend.
Lovely! Venue is beautiful, brunch was great and just the right amount and service was awesome as per usual
Can’t beat the lunch special! I will be back.
This Italian Restaurant is one of the best in Dallas, I was very impressed and surprised that more people didn't know about Mille Lire! I would highly recommend, there is not a bad meal, service is excellent!
Maybe the most authentic Itialian food in the city...exceptional food and service at a reasonable value.
We especially appreciated the extensive wine list that offered a range of wines at a good price. We can't wait to visit again.
What a nice experience. Not our first time there but food and service was *really* good!
My favorite restaurant in 6 States! In spite of the place being packed (3 separate large groups) - Chef Matarese and staff's attention to individual detail was impeccable. Appetizers are so wonderful it is truly difficult to make a "wrong" selection. As for main courses, I am not certain I have had Halibut that was Chef Matarese's equal. Mille Lire's food faithfully reminds us of our travels in Italy and why we do love the place, the staff and especially the food experience. There is a reason the Italian Embassy has blessed this Dallas outpost as one of it's own. This is as good as it gets folks - the real deal - just like being there. BTW: Wine under $100 on Monday/Tuesday is 1/2 price - what a deal!.
The food was terribly disappointing. We had the grilled octopus as an appetizer and it was drizzled in a sauce that was overdone and made it too spicy for us to enjoy. This should have been offered on the side. The Caesar salad was dry and flavorless. The risotto was thick with sweetness because of a pasty brown gravy that tasted more of a jar than that of a fine chef. Very disappointing to say the least! Our server, however, was lovely and professional and the environment pleasant.
Food was wonderful! Our server, Kassidy, was knowledgeable, attentive, and gave great recommendations. The ambiance was terrific. We had a very nice meal and look forward to dining at Mille Lire again!
Fabulous, the food is prepared with a lot of thought and care...
Great and perfect Italian food. Outstanding. Service great again. So nice. We will be back.
Excellent meal and service. We will ask for Matthew again!
First time dining for dinner, and the food was outstanding! Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and professional. We took his advice and ordered some things he recommended that would not have normally appealed to me, and the flavors were out of this world! Don't forget to try the house made burrata. The chef is exceptional!
Not their best night. Loud and intrusive music and very slow service (although, to be fair, this was acknowledged and free desserts offered as recompense. The food, when it arrived, was good
This restaurant was absolutely the best Italian in Dallas as it’s stated. The food was excellent, great variety of delicious entrees. And don’t forget to order dessert, they have an awesome panettone bread pudding & tiramisu. Truly authentic Italian. Service was above top notch. Atmosphere was great, quiet but yet very bright & cheerful. Can’t wait to go back.
We had an amazing evening with awesome food and great service.
The food was so so delicious. Their truffle Cacio e Peppe was worth every penny!
Enjoyed our server and the food was amazing
Mille Lire is truly one of Dallas' finest restaurants in all regards! Keep up the good work guys!!
We ate at Mille Lire on New Year’s Eve and our food was excellent! Our waiter, Matthew was very polite, friendly and knowledgeable. I plan to make reservations for next week with other friends so we look forward to enjoying our food and friends again!
The manager who served us completely forgot about us and we ended up having to go to the bar. We sat with Hasni at the bar and he was phenomenal, but both of my parents were extremely disappointed by the manager’s lack of service.
I was so excited to try Mille Lire but the service was bad bad bad. I usually give servers the benefit of the doubt but our server made mistake after mistake with drinks and the check. Our appetizer was amazing but my pasta was lacking flavor.
Having been to ML twice before I expected so much more than was delivered on Monday. The service was very slow. Details of orders were not noticed. The lamb meatballs are wonderful but our order was one short of our request. One dish was charred and not in a positive way. They did take it back and did not charge for that dish. It was half-priced wine night and the bill came through without the discount. I will go back to give the restaurant another chance, keeping in mind my previous wonderful experiences. It was so disappointing the other night.
Delicious food with great service! I’ve been here for happy hour and loved it so I thought I’d give brunch a try. I wasn’t sure how it would be since there isn’t a ton of food on the menu but I love authentic Italian food. We were very pleased with our experience. I love their Prosecco bar! The flavors are so unique and definitely a great deal for $3 each. We split the burger and the fettuccine and there was plenty of food. Both dishes were delicious—especially the fettuccine! Would definitely go back.
Food great, service not so much
