As previously known as the “77” wine bar, Mill Lane Bistro has been taken over by Cyril, a French ex-manager of some of the best places between Paris and London such as “Hotel de Crillon”, “La Tour d’Argent”, “Tom Aikens” or “Scott’s” in Mayfair.
His concept is to bring Michelin star’s food to a relax Bistro style served food at affordable price.
“After 16 years of hard work in the industry, I have decided to create my own place and offer my experienced services to people who enjoy good traditional food and fine wines at low prices”
The well-trained team will welcome you as in their own Parisian living room, you can either enjoy a glass of wine by the fireplace with the very generous “charcuterie board” in the winter months or some great lighter dishes on the terrace when warmer days are coming!
It truly is a one-of-a-kind venue,cosy and comfortable in a superb location such as West Hampstead.

Delicious classic French dishes, washed down with some good rose. Exactly as you would hope. Good value on the mid-week deals too. A delightful local treat

A very good local bistro (although not local to us). Good place to meet friends for a relaxed meal and chat. Attentive and good service.

A favourite with locals who enjoy a piece of France on their door steps. Not the posh formal style, but the local country bistrot.

Had a lovely meal at Mill lane Bistro on Valentines Day. Took the lunch on the day option and seemed to eat earlier than the rest of the bookings, who started to arrive as we were leaving. But even though there was only one other couple eating at the time we were, that did not detract from our experience. The lunch menu was very good, with enough choices for an enjoyable meal. The only negative was that it would have been nice to decorate the place with a theme for that weekend; something a bistro we used to go to did, which made the event even more special.

Slightly unfortunate that as the night before Valentines, there was only a rather expensive set menu, but overall really good.

Just nice French food. Simple French style Bistro serving lovely food at a reasonable price. Decent wine list and nice service.

Have visited Mill Lane Bistro a few times before and have thoroughly enjoyed it. This time the food was ok but the service was below the usual standard (maybe because the owner was absent on this particular evening). Waitresses seemed slow to take orders and we sat for ages just waiting to order drinks. The thing that really annoyed me was that when presented with the bill we were overcharged by about £75, being charged for 2 bottles of port instead of 2 glasses. Our party had spent £200+, so luckily we noticed and had it corrected. It was a fun night out, but just not as slick as usual.
