We were excited to try this restaurant for Father’s Day! However, the overall service was not great and the kitchen was slow. We ordered before dinner drinks. My husband got his, but I was told that ingredients for mine were not available. I ordered another drink, which I never received and eventually asked for it to be cancelled since we had finished our food and it hadn’t arrived. We ordered biscuits as a starter. There were only two biscuits and when it was served we were told one of the fresh made jams was not available and given packaged jams. It took a long time for our entrees to arrive and when they did, my gumbo was lukewarm, my son’s Cajun pasta, for which we paid extra for blackened chicken, was small and had regular grilled chicken and was a small portion. My husband ordered a steak, which was okay but the best part of the dish were the potatoes. All in all, we will probably not go back because for the money, the food and the service, it was not worth it.

Worst service ever. No kids menu. Food didn't come out at same time. Signature Sweet Tea watered down. Gumbo cup was a half cup. One meal in party never came until we asked about it after about 10min. Because no-one came to check on how our meal was going. Lobster was over cooked. And clearly cooked before rest of meal. Party of 3. 2 of the 3 finished before the other meal came. Didn't offer drink refills. Will definitely Not refer Milk and Honey to anyone. I don't care if they are individual own. Ok food for the price. Should have known not to stay when we were seated and people didn't look delighted or happy. And don't offer a bar if you can't make a drink. Worst Father's Day dinner by far.

Food was okay, shrimp and grits were bland and would’ve expected more considering it’s their signature dish. The chicken and waffles were decent but very pricey for what it is. Service was very slow, they also had a dirty rag at the hostess stand. It was a good to try but will not be going back.

Me and my friends attended Milk and Honey for brunch due to hearing great things about it. The restaurant exceeded expectations with its delicious food, kind staff, and great prices. Will definitely be back and we have already recommended it to both family and friends. (P.S. The smothered chicken and biscuits were incredible)

I had eaten at Milk and Honey at the Dulles location and had a great experience. I was excited to go back and we went to the Fairfax location. It was completely different. I ordered the same thing as last time, chicken biscoff waffles. The chicken was overdone and dark, there was hardly any biscoff. Our waitress was nowhere to be seen until we only had about a quarter of our food left. We asked for more biscoff, which was brought, but way too late and our drinks were never refilled. I don’t plan on going back. It’s too expensive for food like this.

Food was really tasty and portions were large. As a starter, we ordered the fried green tomatoes to share. This dish came with three breaded and fried tomato slices placed on a creamy sauce and covered with a salad. While the flavor was really great, a lot of the crispiness of the fried tomatoes was lost due to it sitting in the sauce and buried under the dressed salad. That was unexpected and a little disappointing. Again, the flavors were punchy and had the tomatoes retained that crunch, this would have been one of the best dishes I have eaten. For main courses, my husband ordered the shrimp and grits and was pleasantly surprised by the number of shrimp he got but the dish was a little too soupy for his preference. I ordered the smothered chicken and biscuits. The batter used for the chicken was delicious. The chicken is thigh meat, which was juicy and flavorful, but texture is not to everyone's taste. My husband loves thigh meat so he enjoyed this a lot. I asked for extra sauce because it was quite a thin sauce and I needed more. It was brought out without issue. The dish also comes with cheesy eggs and these were amazing!! We also split a cheesy hash. It was pretty good, but had quite a bit of spinach in it, so be aware if that might be an issue for you. We were both expecting a little more of a kick from the cajun sauces in our dishes, they were quite mildly spiced. Overall, this is a really solid brunch choice with a great selection of southern staples and a very friendly and attentive staff. Our server, Semaria, was wonderful. Our minor criticisms are based on personal preferences and we enjoyed the food and left the restaurant very satisfied. We would definitely go back.

We were at Milk and honey in Fairfax for brunch. The restaurant was tastefully decorated and our server Kiki was amazing. She was cheerful and helped us choose the best options. Our mimosas were perfect and the shrimp and grits and cheesecake pancakes were out of this world. Since it was my birthday, Kiki brought out a delicious dessert for the finale. Loved the true Sputhern food. We will definitely go back
