   Loved our hostess! She was super helpful and the food was great! I had the peach mimosa to start of with and it was amazing. Would definitely recommend for a brunch date

   I was really hoping to enjoy my experience here, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the hype. The food was just okay. The eggs were a little rubbery and overcooked, though the biscuits were a highlight—fluffy, clearly homemade, and served with a nice touch of butter on the side. The Brussels sprouts had great flavor and crispiness, but they were a bit heavy on the sauce. Overall, the food was fine, but nothing that would make me go out of my way to come back. What really brought the experience down was the service. It was genuinely disappointing. When we were seated, there were no utensils on the table, and the iced tea I was served had no ice. I added sugar but had nothing to stir it with—and the waitress never came back. I tried to flag down other staff for a straw, but they ignored us. After waiting for 10 minutes, I had to walk to the register to ask for one myself. Once the food was brought out, no one checked on us at all. When I asked for a receipt at the end, the waitress just handed over the payment device and said they didn’t have receipts. To make things worse, the tip was being calculated on top of the 10% Fairfax food tax. When I asked about it, the waitress just shrugged and said she didn’t know. The food might be passable, but the poor service and pricing practices make it hard to recommend. I won’t be rushing back.

   Great food! Southern cooking. The chicken and waffle is delicious. Semalia our server was attentive!

   Our 1st time to the Fairfax location. Previously went to the Dulles - Loudoun location. I had to ask twice about our order when I noticed a table of 6 got their food before us even though we arrived and ordered ahead of them. Finally, our meal was served and it was excellent. Guessing the kitchen staff might have been too busy ( although place had several empty tables & chairs )… or understaffed in the kitchen??? Our server was very good , just felt bad for her b/c she probably had to keep on the kitchen staff.

   Beautiful restaurant with great service. We had the Cajun seafood pasta and traditional breakfast. Go and try it!

   Monday night… empty restaurant, still a long wait for food. Once received, missing ingredients and inconsistent temperature. Loud music from the kitchen. Not the typical Milk & honey experience. Shocked and disappointed. Bright spot: cheesecake pancakes — great!

   We had an extremely disappointing visit, It was so bad we will likely never visit another Thompson restaurant. Terrible vibe, music was far too loud, (like a club at midnight) lousy service and mediocre food. We ordered the biscuits (pretty good) crispy sprouts (the only delicious item), chicken &waffles, and shrimp & grits. The chicken was not crisp and had little flavor, the waffles average. The shrimp & grots were smothered in a sauce that ruined the dish. And it took almost 40 minutes for our food to arrive- and they were no where near full. Our reference point is Southside 815 in Alexandria. No comparison.

    The servers were apologetic, very nice, and professional. They were just very slow serving our food, and the food wasn’t hot once served. I’m rooting for them because the food is so good. I will definitely give them another try.
