Milestones Grill + Bar - Millstream
It's the passion in our recipes that makes a visit to Milestones truly unforgettable. Whether you come for a favourite meal or love trying new and trendy dishes, Milestones is all about great food without the pretension. We're an impromptu meeting place for friends and a cozy spot for date nights. We're familiar and friendly, but always on the cutting-edge. We're nights to remember and remarkable flavours to savour. That's how we set the table at Milestones. Be part of the story...
A regular costumer, always happy to go back!!
One of my regular places to go, great service and food! Very friendly and enjoyalbe for all occasions.
Everything was awesome !! Everyone at table was very happy !! :)
Always great food and service!!!
Everyone is very accommodating and friendly too!!!!
First time trying the prime rib
It was excellent, very tender
Fast prompt courteous service we enjoyed our time there
We were greeted and seated immediately even though we were early for our reservation. The waiter was phenomenal and patient as we were quite chatty and not ready to order. The food was great, too.
I always love Milestones, but they were out of Prime Rib. Can't hold that too much against them though because it happens to many restaurants. Mushroom soup was excellent with my steak. Noise level was a little high but still had a great time.
Good place with lots of menu choices. Busy night and we were still served our meal in a relatively good amount of time. Mains were cold (was only complaint) this evening, must have sat at the pass for a bit.
TIMING IS EVERYTHING
We've dined at this Milestone's location four times in the past few months and each visit has seen our experience declining in either service, food, or ambiance. This latest meal, during Victoria's "Dine Around" period was simply a mess.
The restaurant was busy, even though it was early in the dinner period (5:30), but things got off to a bad start with a distracted waitress that seemed to be serving (trying to) in several separate areas. Drinks were slow in coming, then she tried to rush the pace of our three course meals.
We'd barely finished our starters when our desserts arrived - to our amazement - and were quickly returned to the kitchen. Shortly after, our mains appeared, but the chefs had obviously finished my steak well in advance of the plates for the other three diners in our party. The steak was lukewarm and overcooked (not medium-rare as ordered), the mashed potatoes and vegetables were even cooler.
It took several minutes before we could attract our servers attention to request a new steak, and then a substantial wait while my tablemates nearly finished their meals. That really put a damper on our experience, although the restaurant did take 20% off everyone's main, and apologize for the inconvenience.
Finally, the desserts arrived, but they were almost certainly the ones that had been delivered earlier, as the sauces were cold and congealed and they tasted dry and stale from sitting out long after they had been prepared (cheesecake and ganache).
All in all, a forgettable experience and one we don't wish to repeat at Milestones. We won't be returning any time in the near future.
The overall experience was good. The only disappointment was the waitress was not aware that it was a special 75th birthday meal (even though it was in the booking details) After telling the waitress at dessert time the cost of one of the desserts was removed from the bill (which was very kind). I just feel like she may have been a bit more upbeat if she had been told from the reservation that it was a celebration. Why ask if it’s a special occasion on the reservation app if it doesn’t get to the wait staff?
Food was delicious!! Server was amazing! Although with children the hour wait for our food was a bit long.
It was great experience. Service was very good, fast and curtsies.
We had amazing service. We both ordered off the superfood menu and it was delicious!!! Would love to see that menu stay.
Great dinner . Everyone really enjoyed the dinner. Service was very fast as we were going to a movie so that was important. We had beef dips, one with salad, the other with fries and one fellow had a pasta penne dish which he loved.
Food was cold, steak was chewy, parmesan fries were meh. The Bellini was the best thing about my meal. The fish taco was good, service was great and they comped me a dessert for my birthday, which was nice but it was sickeningly sweet.
Really enjoyed the butternut squash ravioli and chopped salad. Great place for an inexpensive night out with great food.
Thank you we had a lovely meal. Chili chicken a bit too much sauce but other than that delicious and friendly service
Our visit was the first one for us at Milestone's this year. The menu has seen some changes, but most of the favourites are still on the list. We had another couple meet us for a casual dinner.
The service was excellent and attentive, and a request to re-fire a cool (not quite cold) steak was accepted graciously and a discount was offered without hesitation. My cool dinner was one of the only downsides to the evening but it was apparent that the chefs were trying to send out all the dishes simultaneously and mine must have been first to the pass.
One other point that I could make is that the booths seemed just a touch small for two couples, although there is plenty of room for a single couple.
We were on time for our reservation, orders for drinks were taken right away. The water arrived but the beer took over half an hour and then they tried to deliver it twice. Our food order had not been taken yet so we asked the waiter who brought the drinks to take it. At 1 hour sitting we had no food. unacceptable. We were to.d there would be no charge for the food , two of the meals were packed up to go. And delivered 1hour and q5minites after we sat down. The other two meals were 1 hour and 30 minutes. Won’t go back again.
Our server was great but our food arrived stone cold and I had literally 13 fries in my cup. We saw a runner come out with our food m, make a lap and go back to the kitchen, then about 20 minutes later our food arrived as i said cold. Our server gave us a discount but honestly the bill was still 75 for 3 entrees that we had to go home and reheat
Tonight my friend and went to Milestones to celebrate. We started with the calamari and then our dinner arrived way too fast. When I went to enjoy the vegetables the green beans still had their stems the prime rib was cold and the garlic mashed potatoes tasted like they only put half the water in the powder to make them and there was not garlic in them and my mushrooms I ordered I didnt get till I got my second meal brought to me, and i had to ask for it again. Then the second prime rib meal was just as awful I sent that one back... my friend said it best a cheap restaurant meal at Keg prices... His meal was just a meal no real taste at all...so disappointed...
While the restaurant was a bit over run the night we were there and the kitchen was 'slow' it gave us a more relaxed time to enjoy our meal without feeling like we needed to leave in a hurry. Our waitress was great at keeping us happy, informed and looking out for us! (more tequila!)
Oh and when the food arrived it was super delicious!!! bravo whoever thought up the Mediterranean chicken!!
the kids at the next table were a bit rowdy and uncontrolled, parents were sitting across the aisle at the "adult table"...but we made the best of it.
Using Open Table did not get us a reserved table - just an available one in their closed patio. Salad came split in two plates which was nice. Mediterranean Chicken ordered was overdone. Sweet & sour crispy chiken was really tasty.
by mid-ways into our meal the noise level was too high for an evening spent at a higher level restaurant.
At 5:30 PM on Sunday the signature item prime rib sold out. The cod substitute was good but small portion. The steak substitute was overdone and dry. The discount offered was appreciated. But entire evening was disappointing. Should have had free prime rib dinners for another time.
Hi! It was a birthday celebration. My husband and I decided to share the chilli chicken rice bowl and asked if we could substitute for the plum sauce. The 2 portions arrived but I must say I was disappointed as there was barely any sauce on the chicken so it was on the dry side. I did not alert the server because it would have meant waiting and it was busy. I did mention it to the server who said she would pass on to the kitchen and let me know which she never did. The other couple ordered 2 tacos and found them bland and they also ordered the chilli chicken spot and found it s not dry as well. Just want to pass on to you our experience. Thanks
The initial service was very quick, but we thought the time before the food arrived was quite long. We all really enjoyed our prime rib dinner, but were all disappointed with the garlic mashed potatoes, which were probably left over baked potatoes smashed up (including the skins), and none of us detected any garlic at all. However, the server acknowledged our comment and provided us with 2 share desserts to make up for it. Overall, it was a very enjoyable evening.
Our server (forget name) was very attentive, gave suggestions and was very friendly.
We only had a light lunch but it was very good and would order again.
There is a good selection of appetizers and lunch items.
The intriguing menu and delicious food always make the Milestone's experience pleasurable.
The only complaint would be the cost of the white wine by the glass from the bar menu. It was shockingly high! My delectable roasted mushroom soup was $8.50 and a 5 oz glass of Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc was $11.75! Outrageous!
Also we waited at least 15 minutes for our drinks to appear.
After that everything was wonderful!
Good food & attentive waitress. Interesting menu. A better than average meal.
Service was extremely slow (11/2 hrs for food, 30 min for drink) and some meals were cold.
Server was great . Air conditioning was much to high so it was too cold inside . Other customers complained too about it .
There was a slight mix up on the bill - combing two meals together instead of three separate bills. It wasn’t noticed until after it was paid. The waiter brought the manager over and she spent 10 minutes at the table telling us how difficult it was going to be to fix it instead of going away and figuring out what she was going to do. It put a damper on a pleasant outing with friends.
In a mostly empty restaurant the hostess tried to seat us in the bar. She was perturbed when I asked for one of the many empty booths. I ordered salmon - in a seaport city - but only 1/2 was cooked OK, the other 1/2 was overcooked and dry. Sides were excellent. My friend enjoyed his burger and Caesar salad. Very good service!
I hope this was an anomaly as Milestones is usually a good choice
Great food ..great service! Initially we asked for the lounge as it is usually quieter..we had a hearing impaired person with us that has difficulty with ambient noise...somehow that was overlooked in the reservation..however..where they put us was fine.
Service was pretty terrible. Food was wrong or horrible for 3 out of 4 people at our table. Very overpriced for what you get. Would not go back, ever.
We specifically went to try some of the 8 new menu items. However, we were informed that they had run out of the Cauliflower Bites. Not a good thing when they had just sent out a flyer advertising it!
Always good food and service here. Staff are friendly and knowledgable about the menu.
Went here for a family birthday. Although I booked it online... And said it was a birthday there was no recognition whatsoever... But they did to seat us in the correct place away from AC and in a quiet spot as I requested. The food was good. Not outstanding nothing to write home about but it was good. Would I recommend it? Yes... Although nothing special. The waiter was okay... But again seems somewhat confused when it came to paying the bill partially our fault but mostly his. Initially I thought that I saw his eyes roll back in his head . Nice kid... Probably just had enough that day.
Our waitress (can’t remember her name) was very good. We did not have the promo code, from booking our reservation, for the free appy but she managed to see that we did receive it. That was appreciated.
Order got mixed up so the table did not get to eat together. 3 of the 4 people got their order, but one of the 3 order was wrong and had to be sent back. After about 5 min the 4 person got their meal, but everyone finished their meal before the order that was mixed up was served. Thankfully they did refund the mixed up order, since they mixed it up. But still disappointing.
