   The pork tamale was excellent and I had the whole beans instead of refried on the side. It’s so yummy. The rice was good but I added some hot sauce and mixed in the beans. The cocktails are awesome. We had iced carajillo and added a little milk and orange rind. Delicious.

   Precious was out waitress . She was extremely attentive and accommodating.

   Miguel’s Cocina is my favorite restaurant, by far, in Old Town. I am vegan and they gladly accommodate me. I have returned many times

   We love Miguel's! We have gotten takeout over ten times from Miguel's in Carlsbad. This was our first time at Miguel's in Old Town. I ordered the dish I ALWAYS order and it came out with the sauce and beans coagulated. My takeout for this dish had never had this issue. I was disappointed. Our server also needs to work on bringing requested items when urgent. My son dropped the spoon she gave him for his ice cream. We asked for a new one. While he waited for a spoon, the heat lamps started to melt his ice cream. We finally asked a busser who brought out three spoons immediately. We will probably stick to Carlsbad's Miguel's, but regardless, Miguel's food is amazing! The white sauce is my favorite! (I dream of this sauce all year until we make our annual SD trip!)

   We go to miguels all the time. This time it seemed like it really went down hill. We were inside because it's really cold however the doors were open so we were all freezing. The service was exceptionally slow. The food seemed mid. My spicy pineapple margarita was not spicy at all. Our chips were super greasy! I'm really disappointed

   The food was cold. The plates were hot but not the food. Our service was great but the four of us all said the same thing about the food being cold.

    We arrived early but it wasn’t a problem. They helped my mom with her walker and mobility issues. Two of us had the calamari wrapped poblano which was awesome. My husband had the el jefe platter and he loved it. The steak was cooked perfectly and he loved the green chili tamale. It was my mom’s 91st birthday and she received a fried ice cream as a gift. She loved it!
