Lemon Artichoke Soup
artichokes and lemons blended in a creamy chicken broth
Shrimp & Grits
shrimp tossed with blackened seasoning, bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes and scallions served on stone ground smoked Gouda cheese grits
It was fabulous
Service and food were amazing! Recommend the sea Scollops and the shrimp and grits!
Wonderful breakfast/brunch/lunch menu. The blackened grouper was excellent. I would visit again just for the Gouda Grits. And yes, the coconut cake is deliciously moist!
Can’t wait to return
Just loved this place
One of the most consistently really good restaurants in Nashville. Old school among a host of wanna-be new-bes.
This place is consistently good. I miss the pre-Covid days when they were jam-packed but we still had a great meal. Go with Veal Three Ways, never missed on that entree.
We dined for a business conversation. Midtown Cafe always delivers a classy, delicious meal. Thank you Randy!
Impeccable food and outstanding service. An ambient dining
gem. Great art, too. Do not miss this one in Nashville. Always good, very consistent, and never disappoints.
We had a wonderful experience for brunch during the holiday weekend. Cannot remember our servers name, but she was fantastic & so friendly! If we lived in Nashville we would for sure done here often.
I ordered the southwest chicken salad which has fried chicken on it. My main complaint is that the chicken seemed to be a sliver thin filet with a heavy coating and fried to just short of burnt, then sliced into strips. It was very chewy and the chicken was almost imperceptible in the final product. Very disappointing for Midtown Cafe which has always been so wonderful.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant. The food was amazing. The Lemon Artichoke salad was divine. i also felt comfortable with the infection control and social distancing they were using to keep me safe.
Birthday. Wonderful crab cakes and steak
Couldn’t have asked for a better meal and night.
Lovely service and meal was fantastic from apps to desert.
All the great reviews are correct—this place is great!
Our server didn't have his act together. Missed putting the appetizers in altogether and generally delayed with every request (except the check). It's a cute place and there was plenty order from.
I had a lovely experience at Mid-Town Cafe. I always do!
Even during these crazy pandemic times, Midtown knows how to ensure a convivial dining experience. Always good!
This is the Crown Jewel of resturants in Nashville. It is consistently great. Even after a tough last four months the food is simply delicious and wonderfully served. I recommend this resturant to everyone. Thank you Randy!!!!
Wonderful service. Delicious food. Overall perfect night.
It was amazing!
Great service and great food! The cocktails were perfect! I had the shrimp and grits and it was awesome.
All of the staff were very nice. Food was delicious. Really nice feature to have a van that could take you back downtown free if you spent $30 per person. We were 9 ladies out for a long weekend. The driver was very nice and accommodating. We all agreed this was a great dining experience ! We would definitely go back
We had a breakfast meeting. They have the best turkey sausage!
Even though it was busy, our table was ready when we arrived. This is often not the case, even with a reservation. Service was prompt and efficient. Food was well-prepared and tasty. Well worth a visit.
My very favorite birthday resturant.
Went based on the Nashville Eater Essential 38 recommendation. We were the youngest by 25 years easily. Ordered a Caesar salad (it was precut lettuce and shredded Parmesan cheese). The main courses were solid -sea bass and shrimp and grits. The cocktails were nothing special. Coconut cake was good but not great. Would not return. There are too many other great options in the city.
Outside construction noise made conversation difficult
First trip to Nashville
Fantastic meal! The lemon artichoke soup was literally the best soup I have ever eaten. Everyone at the table was raving about the food. I only wished that I left room for dessert! Server was attentive and friendly. Awesome experience overall.
The food was great and the waiter was very helpful and friendly.
quality food, service, and just the right amount of energy in the room
Great meal and close to our hotel. I had salmon and my husband enjoyed his catfish. The artichoke lemon soup was as goood as all the reviews said. The little muffins were delicious too. We had a bottle of wine and two beers as well as the soup and two entrees and shared a large Caesar salad. The bill was $131 including a 20% tip. Thought of going back the next day but wanted to try something else.
Outstanding food and service as always. I love bringing someone for whom it is her first time. Winner every time. Thanks!
Truly one of Nashville’s hidden gems!!! The lemon artichoke soup is out of this world!
Wonderful food and atmosphere
As always, very good food and service. We love the Nashville Originals.
Enjoy every part of the meal, the service and the conversation you can have with your friends. It has always been a wonderful experience. You feel welcomed and glad you have been there.
Always a good meal
Excellent food, drink, service. Such a really nice place. And I got a free ride to TPAC; the driver could not have been better.
Midtown is consistently excellent. It is our favorite downtown venue. This time we enjoyed the duck and the sea bass. Both were outstanding. Great presentation and perfect portion size. End with the tiramisu—also excellent.
You can’t go wrong with Midtown.
Doesn’t look like much from the outside but nice on the inside and the food is extraordinary!
