I'm a cocktail and food critic. However, I only trialled the cocktails on this insistence. The cocktails were creative in flavour and presentation as described on the drinks menu. However, when I ordered to compare two of the same drink separately, the decoration was inconsistent and lacked attention to detail. I'd recommend rectifying this. Overall, I thought the service, ambience and presentation was excellent. 6./10.

The food was quite good but the service left a lot to be desired. When were were seated we were not told we had to order at the bar. When we did order we had to go back and ask for our drinks a second time. It wasn’t super busy but the two staff who were on seemed more interested in chatting than anything else.

I searched roof top bars after being cancelled at last minute elsewhere and because midnight has a roof and a bar it came up. I was assured of a cosy booth and the events manager was very helpful. On arrival i saw the bar is on the ground floor overlooking the road outside and my guests were seated in an area away from booths and not conducive to any conversation. So my initial booking was not adhered to but it was easily fixed. The booths are generous and our group of 8 were very comfortable. The bar staff were very good. Hugh was attentive and professional and remembered our orders. The food was great, oysters are divine. I asked for dessert - pre requested and was told "oh we dont serve dessert here" by an uninterested waitress from the restaurant. I assured her that if she checked with Maija the event manager that it would be fine. - communication across staff needs improving but they do their best to assist when you push. We had a wonderful time and thank you. My advice is do a site inspection first to ensure its what you want, book, confirm every detail and deal with the helpful Maija and ask for Hugh in the bar.

Midnight bar is a funky, modern place for drinks, cocktails and nibbles. Love the booths! Cocktails were excellent and the bar snacks delicious, and mostly gluten free too! Amazing. The only thing I could fault was the service. Our table was made to order at the bar while the table next to us received table service. Trying to get in and out of the booths to order is really disruptive to a night out plus the interactions with staff through table service really help to create atmosphere at a venue. It didn’t feel good at all to be treated differently to other patrons. I probably would not choose to return to Midnight on that basis.

A relatively quiet Saturday night here was still as slow as a wet week for service of drinks. Our party of 4 stopped by for a pre-dinner drink and we'd allotted an hour. At the 55-minute mark our drinks arrived, we downed them in haste and left.

Food was incredible!! The staff were lovely, although when one of the servers made a small mistake, we didn't enjoy watching him be reprimanded for it. Excellent for allergies and once again the food was AMAZING! Will be recommending to others.

The ‘Cause and Effect’ event was outstanding. First class service, knowledge and experience. Braddon Merchant are in a class of their own with food, wine and customer service. Next level and by far my favorite dining venue. From all seven of us that attended, thank you Braddon Merchant for an unforgettable experience.

Great location in Braddon - perfect for an after work drink if you're looking for somewhere a little bit fancy. Food was really nice and good for some small share plates while you have a few drinks.
