We've been to MidiCi several times, for both lunch and dinner, and always seem to have the same experience. Staff is very, very pleasant, the food is consistent and good, but the service is pretty haphazard. Not BAD, you just have to stay on top of them. After the food was delivered, I had to ask for a napkin and utensils twice. The napkin(s) came after the utensils and a stack was plopped down in between us. Refills had to be requested also. The check came quickly enough! None of this is enough to deter me from returning, but the staff still needs a little up-training.

Delicious food in a vibrant atmosphere. The meat and cheese board do not disappoint! Our party of four had plenty to share. We followed the appetizer with pizzas and a calzone. All were delicious, hot and fresh. We had "adult" versions of the lemonade made to order - delicious! The outdoor area adjacent to the restaurant was great! Lots of yard games (corn hole, jenga, chess, checkers, etc.) and plenty of comfy seating. Great area to relax after dinner.

This was a great spot. Walking in the ambiance was old style mixed with modern. That was nice. My wife and I were greater with smiling happy staff. We were seated at an outside table per request. The exterior table setting great. Clean. The wait staff was on point and attentive. I ordered a calzone...it was by far the best I've ever had. The value was great for the quality of food and service. We will definitely return.

This place is so good! The service is excellent and the food is delicious! I love the open kitchen in the center of the restaurant and the outdoor seating area had lawn games and great activities for people of all ages. The homemade lemonade is fantastic and they'll flavor it for you. We loved the peach best! The service is warm and friendly. We will definitely dine here again when in the area.

The hostess was so rude. We had a reservation at 9:00 and she did not believe me. I had to show her my phone and she was still not going to seat us. She obviously wanted to get out early. She checked with her manager to see if we were allowed to be seated. Reservations are available on Open Table past their 9:00 closing time on Sunday.

It was ok. Pizza crust was chewy and even when cutting, had to be more torn than cut. And that was a “well done crispy crust.” The toppings were flavorful and the salad was awesome.

Went to Midi’s to grab a glass of wine and a bite to eat before a movie. We wanted to sit outside as the weather was great — arrived on time and were immediately seated outside. Wine, salad & pizza was awesome. Only wish I could remember our servers name as she was very attentive but didn’t rush us. We will return.

Truffle pizza was delicious. It had a soft, thin crust with a lot of flavor. Burrata caprese appetizer was amazing! Loved the look of the restaurant and it is located in Celebration Pointe so it's a nice space to enjoy time outside after dinner. Waiter was very outgoing and attentive. We are definitely going back!

I didn't like it at all. Perhaps better for college students, but seemed pricy for what it is. Two calzones, a personal pizza and two side salads was almost $60. Toppings were a little skimpy on the pizza.

We took the opportunity to try this place again. We had an issue when we visited a few months back & the owner wanted to make it right. First - the owner is so nice & accommodating. We had pizza, salad & appetizers. I had also ordered a drink but had to ask for it a few times after our food arrived. Here’s the thing - the location & physical appearance of the restaurant is great but there is a distinct disconnect with the servers. We were seated directly behind the check in desk where staff congregated & decided to clean it out while we were eating. Please move that table further away & place a divider or plant or something. Also - figure out what is going on with wait staff/servers. There appeared to be plenty of staff preparing the food but not enough servers working the floor. This place has such an opportunity & I’m concerned they are missing out due to communication issues that could easily be resolved.

Pizza was delicious. Service was odd. One server brought us appetizers three times that were not ours--we kept having to tell her that we didn't order them. We also sat near the entrance, and the hostesses were too close to the table--they need to separate out the space from the dining tables. It's a little unpleasant sitting next to a bucket of (presumable soapy) water that they use to wipe down tables. The hostesses were also using a table behind us to organize menus, so our space felt very cramped. Also, pizza took about an hour to come out. I did talk with the manager who was very nice, apologized, and offered to "take care of it" for us. Instead of taking one of the pizzas off the bill or giving us a free appetizer or dessert, he deducted 15% off the bill. This just seems a little strange to me. The food was good though, so hopefully they will work out kinks in service and workflow.

Picture it, Gainesville, Fl on a Sunday evening..Live jazz band, lovely atmosphere, best vegan pizza I've had in a while! We were greeted as soon as we stepped in. While we were waiting, the pizza makers offered our daughter dough to kneed & nibble on.Stephon was our server, he was awesome! He recommend some good cocktails, made sure we were taken care of, and kept a smile on our faces. We will be back!

This is our second trip to Midici, and while it was better than the first, the restaurant still has some issues to work out. Our last visit was on a Sunday evening. The restaurant had a band. We sat as far away from the band as possible and still had to scream at each other to conduct a conversation. There's definitely a disconnect between the servers and kitchen. On the plus side, the servers are nice and very welcoming. The night we were there...the restaurant was packed, so we ordered drinks and an appetizer. The appetizer showed up first. We didn't have plates, silverware, or water. By the time all of those things arrived, the food was cold. Then we got our drinks. Lucky for us, cold meatballs aren't a bad thing. Then we ordered pizza. I hope this isn't the case, but we did wonder if Midici was having inventory issues because the pizza had very few toppings on it. This is the second time this has happened. Server never came back to check on. Never asked us if we wanted dessert. I understand being directly across from a movie theater is prime location. We're not ready to give up on Midici, but we are hoping they work the issues out.

Appetizers good. Ceasars salad was frozen so couldn't eat and as it thawed it saw mush. Pizzas pretty good. Service poor. Asked for serving utensils for salad and she said they didn't have any. So I asked for 2 forks so I could serve it to my family. The table was wobbeling so my mother and I tried to put napkins under the legs to stop it from rocking and the waitress just sat and watched us. I think it has potential. Just needs some staff training and experience. Fun location.

The server was very nice. Long pauses between service. The hostess was not very professional. I made a reservation and requested a table by the window. When we arrived all the tables were full ... they sat us in the middle of the dining room. Not ideal for our meeting. They obviously don’t read the request.

The restaurant is very loud. You can not carry on a conversation. The garlic bread is horrible. It isn’t hard to make good garlic bread! Much better pizza in Gainesville! We won’t be back.

We had made reservations thru Open Table, but when we arrived they had no record of it. We had to wait while a table was set up for 8. We were very slow to receive our drinks. The pizza was good. The salads were good, but lacked dressing. The charcuterie & cheese platter was dissappointing. Several of our group had coupons for a free pizza, which the waitress collected when we ordered, but were charged for on our bill. The extra charge was removed, BUT when you have a movie to catch it’s very irritating. Will probably not return.

This restaurant recently opened in Gainesville. You can tell be the service! Although the pizza was pretty good (definitely nothing exceptional), the service was not good at all. We did not finish our pizzas so we asked that the unfinished food be boxed up. Our server brought us a cardboard box, telling us to do it ourselves. I find this new trend of having diners box up their own food simply unacceptable! Once boxed, we had to place it on the floor under our chair. We also had to ask for our wine each time we wanted refills. Our server was one of the most inattentive servers we’ve ever had in a restaurant. On a positive note, they make a very good gluten-free pizza crust.
