Established in 1961, this traditional and authentic Cantonese restaurant in Blackpool town centre has been extending a warm oriental welcome to customers for 64 years!

Choose from a mouth-watering selection of delicious dishes including Mrs Wan’s dumplings, made from her own recipe, Szechuan chilli beef, Nasi Goreng and oriental fruit salad with lychee. We are very proud that every dish and every sauce is made in house, because we care about our food.


The belief that every meal shared should be special is why this restaurant takes time to carefully select and prepare the freshest Chinese dishes, adding just three extra ingredients - quality, experience and time.

Our core belief is that we are a local restaurant, open year round for local residents and visitors to the resort alike. We"ve worked for many years with our local suppliers to continue to bring you the best experience of Chinese food in Blackpool.

    The best Chinese food in Blackpool. Extensive menu and wine list. Staff are so lovely and attentive. Couldn't fault it. My first visit was 55 years ago!

    Lovely friendly atmosphere from the moment we arrived. Food was excellent. Definitely worth a visit and we’ve already booked for another visit. Booking a table is a must. Always fully booked.

    Our first experience at this restaurant and we will definitely be returning on our next visit to Blackpool. Excellent food and wine, we had the Mandarin platter for two people. The staff were so friendly and attentive. The restaurant was kept immaculately clean and had a really good atmosphere with a very comfortable table to dine at. Top marks from a couple who do not eat Cantonese food very often.

    The Mandarin never disappoints. First of all, the service is top notch, the waiter remembers us each and every time we visit and they’re always up for a conversation and very personable without spending too much time at the table. Service is quick, they allow you to take your time and go at your own pace. The food itself is quality, you can’t go wrong, we’ve not a bad word to say about the place. The food isn’t the cheapest, but as always we don’t mind paying for high quality service and product. Will definitely be back!

    Food and service was fabulous. Couldn’t fault it. The only issue was £16.80 service charge! A bit more awareness would have been welcomed and the option to give our own tip. But for future we will be more aware next time we visit

    I booked for a special birthday evening and it didn’t disappoint! Greeted with Birthday balloons and banners and the service was impeccable! Food was delicious and came fast and was some of the best I’ve eaten in a long time! Even got a Happy Birthday song at the end!

    A fantastic experience here, best Chinese Restaurant we have ever visited. Food was delicious and the service was excellent, staff couldn’t do enough to make it an enjoyable evening. Will definitely call again when we next visit Blackpool.

    First time and the food was excellent. Music not overpowered. Staff very attentive to detail. Overall a lovely night. Highly recommend.
